The difference between NBA and supreme court judges is that supreme court judges made themselves government puppets which is not suppose to be so. While NBA has proven to be an independent body.

House of assembly members and the senate are the legislative body in government but today, they now dine and wine with the executive to the extent that, the executive is not afraid of them anymore. They are now more of a puppet than a respectable legislative body. So you see, the bodies you mentioned are nothing to write home about because of the way they gave their birth rights to the executive which is the government of the day.

We all know that persons or associations who collect monies not worked for are actually puppets to the person giving the money.

Don't forget that NBA is against the SOE tinibu declared in rivers state. What NBA did in Enugu is their own way of protesting the illegality of tinibu and wike and that is the reason why we support NBA at least for this one. I'm my experience in the field of "Criminalistics", donation of such amount before such a event will be beneficial to the governor whether in material terms, association wise or career path. The donation is not coming on the day or at the venue of the event. The money you claimed Wike donated was for market reconstruction like you said. Have you ever thought about the link between NBA and SIM? Let me ask you, was the money meant to build a hall for the event? Or for food for the event?
Ibas may have a paper work on the money trail and the narration on it may not even carry "donation". Maybe that was why Ibas said he'll use legal means to retrieve the money. To make things worst, SIM is not saying anything about it maybe because the matter may result in further digging into past transactions.
Note: There's a difference between "Philanthropy" and "Charity". One is short term relief and the other is more long-term and strategic. Maybe he wants to be in the good book of NBA...

It will be good if the NBA refunds that money.

Rufai is on point here. Most people don't understand the cost implications of hosting massive events. Transportation and hotel cost alone for the organisers and guest can swallow the 300million.
Other costs I can remember will include
Security ( Nigerian police officers deployed will also be paid same for private security )
Media crew
Health emergency crew
Stage setup, printing
Feeding
And so many more.

Nevertheless, we know some of the money will be misappropriated but doesn't relegated the fact that hosting such conferences can gulp a billion easily.

Also, returning the money that's has been budgeted as part of the funds for hosting can derail the planning and execution of the conference.

Wike built houses for the judiciary when he was govenror of Rivers State......Nobody complained and we didn't hear he has bought the State judiciary when he was using them to fight opposition in the State then. Everyone against the opposition was very happy. We did not hear the CJ of Rivers State has been bought because everybody hates the APC back im Rivers State.


Wike is now in Abuja building houses for judiciary but because there's a political issue between Wike through the Ahmaewule led RSHA and Gov. Fubara, the narrative have changed and that Wike and PBAT have bought the CJN and the judiciary.


Nobody complained that Gov. Fubara was building houses for the judiciary as well in Rivers State and nobody complained that the CJ of Rivers State has been bought.

Now that the NBA received #300 million from the RSG which they claim it's a gift and the SOLAD is saying it is more like a fund for hosting rights, the NBA is telling stories......

If before the expiration of the six months, the governor and legislative house do not come to terms, sheath their swords, swallow their pride and ego and do the needful, the SoE will be extended.

As far as both of them have refused to agree, it would be assumed that there is no governor, no legislative house and there is no democratic government. Because without them agreeing , it also means the governor won't have his executive team in place, he won't have a approved budget to use to run the State, etc, etc.
