daniwise:Please who fought for Wike to become governor? How did they do the fighting for him? Did they carry him hand in hand all round Rivers State to see the elders and leaders of the land and the who is who in land and handed him the office of the governor? |
lexy2014:A lot of you read without understanding and that's why you are all bitter about the SC judgement because you're blinded by sentiments, moved by false emotions and hatred. Now let me answer your question.. If and when the governor is impeached then the Deputy Governor takes his place, that is the constitution of the land. |
Oceanfl0w:Tell me about Rivers State politics, if you claim you know.... Na you dey sit-down.with the elders dey select. |
Pepsicola:Even if they give Fubara 8 years as governor he would not be able to build thr required grassroot forces around him that will stand with him. It doesn't work that way. Fubara is only lucky till now because he is riding on that goodwill of Rivers people. Those who claim to be politically relevant surrounding him are only around to chop their own share of the Rivers State cake. Even as a civil servant what is his political base and stretch for having rose to the level of Accountant General of the State? The mistake Fubara is making is wanting to rely on the way Wike ruled the State during his time as governor but that is not possible because times have changed and overtaken by a lot of uneventualities. |
frankmoney:Well, we have the environment to watch how it all unfolds. |
Mitsurugi:I wonder why you're are mentioning Tompolo's name for pipeline surveillance contract in Rivers State. When Asari Dokubo was shouting up and down for it to be spread to him.... Or do you not know that those surveillance contract have been shared to notable militant heads and leaders within the Niger delta region who control things.... Tompolo is just like a facilitator to the states outside his home State. Do you know what they call deliverables..... |
gare:Which Supreme Court again are you referring to that you're hoping will declare their seats vacant !!!! The judgement which you see now is just a precedence and the final judgement. What you think you're expecting is the academic exercise, that's in the instance that Gov. Fubara continues to disobey the recent judgment given him to abide by. |
potent5:If that is what it will take.... After all is there any governor of Rivers State who did not come through the Supreme Court !!!! Except maybe Gov. Peter Odili .. |
Mitsurugi:Who is having pipeline surveillance in Rivers State? Have a rethink again and let's know if vandals can do anything to the pipelines. |
Abagworo:Please name about 10% of those against Wike on both sides of the militants and intellectuals. Thank you.. |
zero8zero:Please escalate this matter to PBAT let the price of cement come down to #4500 and also the price of reinforcement rods and transportation costs so that granite prices and sand will come down as well .... |
ogmask:You can go ahead and dig up such cases of you truly want to know. But just you know when you mention 10 people of Rivers State who are lawyers and worth something significant then he is within the first five. |
potent5:Magnus Abe is the next governor of Rivers State. |
Odin13:Please what does the bolded say? |
Sobalim:Why don't we let him finish the first tenure in the remaining days... |
vanitybutiwanti:One thing is now settled in Rivers State: OCJ Okocha Esq., SAN, is a proven legal luminary! There is a time and season. OCJ is worth his salt and onions. |
spiSeyi:Do you know what it means to disobey a SC judgment? Do you think the CJN does not have what it takes to ensure that the verdict is fully enforced? Let's just forget about whose sides we are and who is in the right or wrong or who buys the judiciary or not !!!! The law is the law and the SC verdict remains final. |
gare:There's no final judgement on that because what you are seeing that has happened is only but a precedence. What you are expecting will be what we call purely academic to silent those who don't have it in their brains to play good decisively. Who think they will get away with emotions, sentiments and social media trials. |
ozo13:That order will not stand. Their tenure is completely done and dusted. Caretaker chairmen is alien to the constitution. Remember that any State law or constitution that is not in same line with that of the FG, the FG law or constitution takes precedence. So if the LGC election haa been annulled. Those LGC chairmen will automatically handover to the most senior civil servant in the their respective LGA. That's is it and nothing else. |
gare:Nobody needs to celebrate such. The fight is not in the interest of Rivers State people. It's only politicians who are no more than 1000 that are aggrieved and fighting themselves for superiority. |
dre11:Well, to those who were not biased and without sentiments saw it coming but only had to wait for the time for it's verdict and enfirceito be made. But Wike should also know that he should play by the rules and avoid unnecessary disputes. This judgment is not victory to him. It's just a way to silence the disobedient. It could be Wike's turn someday. Let's all be guided. |
ogmask:There are just two sides to a coin or six sides of a dice. Let Fubara and those who are advising him choose wisely. The days of unwise decisions and flagrant disobedience to court judgment is a little bit over. This new CJN will not allow such disobedience to SC verdicts. The noose is tight. Fubara should not think he can behave the way Wike did to court judgment and use of court against opposition in Rivers State to his benefits. Those days in Rivers State are long gone. |
Dalohad:That one na HC of Fubara. The SC in Abj has it all. |

We believe that the determination of the main issue of defection of the 27 lawmakers is a matter not before the Supreme Court as it is pending at the Federal High Court in Port Harcourt. Since the issue of defection wasn't on the table before the learned Justices, in their eyes, Amaewhule and the 26 others are still operating as lawmakers until that matter of defection comes before them. I find the entirety of this post from someone who is full of mischief. |
fergie001:Please where is the source of this information ? |

udemzyudex:I don't need to watch the video.... As a Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly he has the right to call for the arrest of the so called lawyer who is representing him in court; Is that hard for him to do? Is Obasa not learned enough to take out our doubts by doing so? Is it any different from defamation of character for the lawyer or some scrupulous persons to do such even in court? |
udemzyudex:Obasa, who was reportedly removed by 36 lawmakers on January 13, 2025, while he was out of the country, filed a lawsuit through his lawyer, Chief Afolabi Fashanu (SAN), contesting the decision. Let him deny the lawyer representing him then that he is impersonating... |
davodyguy:Can PO do that or who will support him when the time comes? |
udemzyudex:We are watching the comedy and comedians. |
udemzyudex:He has gone to the court. Let the court do their bit. Why did he go to court? Is that not why the court is in existence? |
Great100000:If stewpidity is not inherent in our DNA as a people then this article should not be in the open and in any forum !!!!! That the FG did not have to wait for the Court to give a verdict on the matter that is before it because due process was not followed ...... This is one of those mumuish things we have to put up with..... Does the FG understand the autonomy of the Lagos State Assembly ? Let's assume all these is true, what will happen if the other members refused to attend plenary session under Obasa till the year comes to an end, will he Obasa declare their seats vacant? |
