I still don't believe there are people that go into marriage blindly without discussing and sorting out issues like this first in this age. They need to come to a compromise if they still want to remain married.

Don't you think your own post is so biased too, you may plan to have 5 kids before marriage and you end up with 2kids and vice-versa. Women should soften this issue of divorce, anything misunderstanding in marriage does mean you have to be discussing whether you want to still be married or not. That you are empowered and independent does not give you licences to want out of marriage. Women glow better when they are under their husband with mutual respect for each other.

Almost everybpdy in relationships nowadays are unfaithful.
Unfortunately there is nothing to deter people from cheating on their partners. Some are even proud of the act without any iota of remorse.

While pondering about this level of decadeness, a thought of criminalizing adultery came to mind. The negative consequences of cheating on the spouse, children and the society at large surpass that of already criminalized offences.

Since there are lots of court cases where couples accuse each other of infidelity, I do not see any reason why the cheated partner would not witness against the cheating partner.

I don't think it is necessary to criminalize adultery because the criminal offences we have already have not stop criminal activities, I as a born again Christian have been taught to forgive but you must be so remorseful about your deed. Any fellow that has lost his or her mind can fall victim of adultery, it is not different from madness and such person seriously need psychiatric help. We have lost every sense of moral upbringing in this generation and it is becoming a case of if you can't beat them, join them. we don't see what is bad in fornication but we don't want adultery, what an irony. any relationship that involves sex (fornication) can also involve infidelity if they are married.
So instead of criminalizing adultery, let's us work on ourselves and be who God wants us to be not who devil wants.

It behoves to challenge moral bankruptcy, no matter how "logically sweetened" or otherwise dressed up. Like BJ said "the fool has said in his heart there is no God"...and without God, what objective morality can there actually be? Thanks Bros, your moniker rings a bell, you are an old contributor here I guess, what else can we contribute here than to help people build good homes and let people know that these things are possible if you can condition your mind towards it. This month made me 9yrs in marriage, we have had cases where some couples would not want to withstand.
My wife and I had been through a lot but we resolve that all things work together for good for those that love God. There was a period of ignorance in my life that I felt like I was tired of my wife, thank God that it was not too late for me, after working on my self, I discovered that my wife does not even have any problem, now we live happily and we are working towards a perfect home. Why will you cheat on your spouse if you have not lost your mind, the person you claimed you loved before, all of a sudden you don't love her or him again, then you didn't love in the first place.

There is a friend of mine who confided in me because of a lady who has been married for past nine years without a child. Recently, due to pressure from her husband who even gave her ultimatum to become pregnant before April or leave his house, she has made up her mind to do anything in order to keep her marriage.
She called my friend who was her course mate back in school and requested to see him. In the course of their discussion, she narrated all she has been through for lack of a child of her own.
At a point her younger sister became pregnant and offered to give the child to her due to what she is going through. But God intervened, as they were planning on how to bring the sister to their home and take care of her till she put to birth, a man proposed and accepted the sister’s pregnancy.
They then went for plan B by adopting a boy who is growing up as their child now. Thank God for His intervened because the sister or someone might come in future to claim the child had they accepted the sister’s child, my thought though.
However, the husband is still not contented, he wants his own child. Meanwhile whenever treatment or checkup is recommended, the wife will go but the husband will refuse to go for the checkup saying he is ok that if the wife is in doubt she should recommend a woman for him to try, though the wife has been pregnant severally including last year but had miscarriages.
Obviously, her discussions with my friend suggested that she wants him to sleep with and get her pregnant for her husband also to save her marriage.
Please, what solution can save her marriage and also my friend from this act of adultery since both are married to different people? Please help with suggestions.

There is no much talk here, you and your friend know the right to do, so what advice do you want? that your friend should have carnal knowledge of another man's wife and keep doing till she gets pregnant and may be later to blackmail the woman for money.
Tell your friend the right thing If he does not know it and if he goes ahead to do it, he has dug his grave.
The best he can do for her is to pray, he is not a doctor or God that gives children, he should let the man and his wife solve their problem.

You don't need to agree with me, that you believe that cheating is part of life does not make it right, that you also believe that you, someone else or the man you got married to, cannot but cheats is still your business, you are free to believe whatever you want, as a man thinketh in his heart, so is he.

If the members of the church are not complaining, I don't see what the problem is, there are fake and real prophets of God, it is for you to know yourself and if you don't know, you can't blame anybody. Nobody forces anyone to bring money out of his pocket, when a pastor demands for money and you don't give, nobody will arrest you, so what is the complain about?

The issue is why would a Nigerian man find out difficult to forgive his cheating wife. If it is true that sex does not equate to love, then a man who believes that his action is not a betrayal of his love for his spouse, must also be smart enough to know that his wife's cheating would have no impact on her love for him.

Women have also been cheating from time immemorial and they still do. Women that do not cheat do so because of other factors which they give considerable importance to. It does not mean that they do not desire or appreciate other men. There are several cheating married women out there who would give up everything they have for their families.

I quoted you from what you wrote, you said like everyone else exhibits bad and good character, in as much as there is bad habit in your nature which you are decisively dealing with, you are a bad individual. I m writing on the basis of what God created us to be. If you are a lair, cheater, fraudster, talkative, robber, rapist etc and you don't deal with it, you are a bad individual.
Any habit you portray that is contrary to the word of God makes you a BAD person.
