What are they doing in Yorubaland when there is evidence that they are not wanted outside Igboland?
In the " Alhaji and Kunle" tape, the Alhaji alluded to the spate of fires in Igbo dominated businesses so it does not surprise me.
What surprises me is that there are still Igbos who still believe in the Nigerian project.

GO HOME AND DEVELOP YOUR AREA. INNOSSON IS NOT LAGOS OR ABUJA BASED!!!!

If that is the case, there MUST be an investigation. It is when investigations are not carried out that conspiracy theories get bandied about.

PoliticsRe: World Igbo Union Drums Support For Buhari’s Government by Bjergtrolde: 7:48pm On Jan 12, 2016
dotcomnamename:
President General of Igbo World Union (IWU) His imperial Majesty , Prof Mishak Nnata has called on Ndigbo to give maximum support to the government of President Muhammadu Buhari.

He said the vision and aspiration of the Igbo would be better actualised through the support of Buhari who he said has good plans for Nigeria.

Speaking during his second Ofala festival at Gburugburu Ndigbo Dum’s palace, Umuajata Olokoro, Umuahia South local government area of Abia State, he said the agitation for Biafra does not have the support of the World Igbo Union.

Prof Nnata however appealed to President Muhammadu Buhari to make provision for the actualisation of Igbo presidency which he said is the desire of every Igbo man and not the actualisation of Biafra.

He said that President Buhari’s administration would provide brighter future for the Igbos, expressing optimism that God will use the president to actualise the vision and aspirations of the Igbos.

He said, “We use this medium to encourage Ndigbo on the imperative to accord the federal government of President Buhari maximum cooperation as they did to his predecessor His Excellency Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, which was unprecedented in post war Nigeria”. He commended erstwhile President Jonathan whose passion for peace overrode the desires for self perpetuation in power, thereby saving Nigeria from the precipice of another intractable war.

The way I see the whole matter is tribalism, igbos are siding Thiers while Yoruba's are siding their man too. Both of them are wrong, nobody did anything right! The person that truely deserved this fvcking award is KISS DANIEL! Wenti kesh sing sef? Bank's sabi anything? Kesh na worse, he's always shouting whenever he sings angry

Both of them dont deserved it sef, tribalism won't let some fans have common sense.
Now I am confused. I apologise for not being up with the times so can you please break it down for me.

My understanding is that Olumide(Yoruba?) was not happy that Lil Kesh (Yoruba?) whom he manages lost to Reekado Banks (Yoruba?) managed by Don Jazzy (Igbo).

Can someone please tell me if I am correct as I don't understand the tribalism angle

Does anyone here know the OP? I suggest that they give him tight marking. This is a cry for help. This is the time to offer help and not time to beat up on the OP.

It would be very sad to see a topic " Nairalander kills self"

Just my opinion.

The society is primitive, thanks to a house officer that does not even know why he is a house officer. A house officer that thinks that the first thing to do in an emergency situation is to call his second on call. And the lazzy ass second on call, wanting to avoid work tells the inept and clueless house officer to tell the patients to go if they don't have money! If you support such a profoundly broken system, then you are part of the problem.

-CramJones
Ehen,

After making sure its safe to approach, the first thing you do in an emergency is to CALL FOR HELP. But then again, I did not attend the same medical school as you attended.

How on Earth can a certified hospital not have oxygen?!! That's like a basic thing that should be present in every hospital at all times.
The lack of electricity is another issue altogether.

The National Assembly should pass a bill that compels medical personnel to treat patients before demanding payment.

I won't cut him any slack! I won't cut him some slack for indirectly killing a patient for his inactions. Yes, we have issues in our healthcare system. But this OP displayed gross incompetence and ineptitude in performing his job as a FIRST-ON CALL. If prosecuted this OP will end up in jail!

D stands for Disability and Drugs. More for drugs. E.g in cases where the patient is found to have say severe bradycardia of less than 60beats. You would expect this incompetent House officer to give a shot of adrenaline (which is a drug). But no - this house officer is totally useless! He is calling on government to stabilize a patient for him!

-CramJones
Ehen,

Drugs in resuscitation comes under where it is required. There is no separate category for drugs. So your adrenaline for Bradycardia would come under circulation. Though if a bleeding accident victim has become bradycardic, adrenaline is not going to do diddly squat for you.

So Dr C Jones, do you really expect that OPs State Hospital has some adrenaline, fluids etc lying around? Lets be honest with ourselves. The high mortality rate following RTA's are because our hospitals are not equipped to handle it.
Cut OP some slack.

No one is blaming the little guy.
But when the little guy does nothing for the next little guy, he is only lying to himself that the situation will improve.
This is why Nigeria has become entrenched in mediocrity.
We have all come to accept dark age policies as the norm
Thanks for your polite response.
Have you ever wondered why their is an all hours open private chemist in front of every major government accident and emergency department?
Its because the emergency department has got next to nothing. No cannula, no giving set, no fluids, no analgesics, nada.
Just guys like the OP trying to do the best in extremely challenging situation.

Some years ago, we took some relative to an Accident and Emergency Department in the East. The doctor kindly wrote a list of drugs for us to purchase so we sent one person out on that errand while asking the other to go to the records department to get a "card". It was after that , that my relative got treatment. Now this is a Federal Hospital. Op is based in a state hospital. I doubt they will me that well equipped.

Now I understand why we struggle to make any progress. We are very emotional in looking at our problems. "Our hospitals have become mere consulting rooms" Buhari version 1.
Things have not changed, they are unlikely to change if people keep abusing the OP rather than those who brought us to that level and those who made the rules.

On the chap cursing me , praying that this faith befalls me. I am not under any illusions. If I was involved in an accident like this, I think this is the faith that would befall me. It would not be fault of the hapless junior doctor, it would be the fault of the system.

You are such an idiot to assert that! What he is saying is true. An accident victim came, you could not even at least do the following:

-Secure IV access, since they may be loosing blood.

-Take blood for urgent PCV, grouping and cross-matching for any emergency transfusion that the critical ones you triaged may need.

-At least examine the patient as a whole, look out for areas of injury, palpate the abdomen and make sure there is no guarding that could suggest internal organ rupture like the spleen.

-Provide pain relief etc etc.

-Did they not teach you the ABC of rescusitationhuh? You don't know that A starts for

A- Airway
B-Breathing
C- Cardiac function
D - Drugs
E - Examination (Quick)

- How stupiid are you that critical patients would be brought to your center (Accident and Emergency), and the first thing you are saying is for them to be referred? Is your work place a Babalawo center that you have to refer them at just sighting them? Won't you make sure that they are in stable condition first.

-You are stupidly calling on the government - to do what? Are they doctors? Do they know how to rescucitate patients? you foolishly called your lazy asss medical officer...what do you expect...huh Infact, if I am Seun and moderators, I would ban you from Nairaland!

-You are a house officer for goodness sake, the first on call, you ought to have stabilized the patients before calling anyone.

-You should be ashamed to call yourself a doctor. If anything you and the hospital should be sued and made to repeat your housemanship!

Nonsense!

-CramJones
A Airway

B Breathing

C Circulation

D Disability.

Never had of D for drugs before. But then I did not attend the medical school you went to.

I don't pity you at all OP. I know how much they pay you house officers in federal hospitals, its as high as 170k in majority of the places. Infact none of them pays less than 120k per month.
You mean you saw somebody dying in front of you and you couldn't even remove some money from your hundreds of thousands you have been accumulating instead of abandoning her because of some useless order from above?
I know house officers and interns who went behind the back of their superiors treat patients who had not paid because they did not have any money, all they did was explain to the cashier at the pay point that they were going to pay in future and the cashiers understood that the situation was critical and their actions necessary.
I am just really hoping the story is a made up tale like someone said before.
Jealousy!

Tears run down my cheek as I type this. I went into d medical profession to Save lives, but today I watched a patient die and I could do nothing.
It was around 11am today, 26th Dec 2015, I wz in the emergency room as the only Dr & House officer on call in a state Specialist hospital wen a peugeot wagon followed by a police van drove in. They opened d doors & trunk and started bringing out Accident victims. I did a quick triage & saw dat d 2 in d trunk were in a more critical condition, So d immediate plan was to refer d 2 to FMC wia dey hav better hands and equipment to handle it. So I asked d policeman who d driver is so dat d 2 will be rushed to FMC & he said he died at d Accident scene. I ran outside to buy airtime to start calling other HOs, b4 I could return, dey had dropped d 2 & drove off.
I called other HOs, only 2 showed up, others had travelled. To my greatest suprise, I called a medical officer who is a snr colleague in d proffession, she said I shud nt touch anyone till dey paid. That I shud Infact refer all of dem. I was incapacitated, d patients were in pains, crying, calling on us to help, some already unconscious, but we couldnt help cos we have an order frm above.
Within 5mins, 1 young lady in her early 20s died. Abt 10mins later, another police van came and carried d remaining 7 to FMC.
This evening, some road safety corps came to inquire if any Accident victims were brought to our center. They had retrieved d manifest frm d vehicle and contacted d families of d passengers. Dey came wit d relations of one of d patients, and wen I told dem 1 of dem died, dey asked for d Description of d 1 dat died and I showed dem d pix of d gal dat died, behold she was d 1 dey were looking for and right there was the gal's fiancee. Their traditional wedding was to be in 3days tym
I want to use this medium to call on the govt to make policies dat"ll enable Drs treat patients in such condition. Let's Save the human race
Take heart Bro. You tried your best. Unfortunately, this is a result of poor health care policy. You can't change the world alone.
Have a beer, get some rest and put it behind you.

You were not the one that made patients abscond without paying bills. You were not the one who decided that the solution to above was not to touch until one has paid. Unfortunately, people will blame the little guy, you, instead of directing their anger in the right direction, the government.

Oh, I can see that the lynch mob has already gathered.
Ignore them. I will suggest that you don't respond to or read anymore posts on this thread

Fellow Nairalanders,

Nairaland loves Igbos and Niger Deltans very much. The thought of being separated from them for any reason is unbearable to us, so we have decided that we will reject any attempt by anyone to use Nairaland to promote the idea of removing Igbos and Niger Deltans from Nigeria.

We have updated rule 9 of Nairaland to reflect this decision. It now says:

I'd like to urge all Nairaland members to respect and obey rule 9. Mynd44 is in charge of enforcing it. If you break this rule, you'll be banned.

She is still single and claims to be a devoted Christian but fill less concern about anything that has to do with our mum . My dad is late and we are not finding things easy. The last time i checked my mum she was looking very sick and worried. The little money am making is not enough to carta for the whole family. My school and work are shaking me seriously.

To cut the story short, we have talked to some people to talk to her, both elders and other reliable family members. I don't know how to cope with the situation.

She is in another state. I don't know if she is just waiting for my mum to die so she will come and spend the money on her burial to impress crowd or she is saving the money for another man when she is married

My mum is dieing silently. Please make this front page i need advice cause i don't want to lose her now.
Are you sure she not also broke?
Doing "very well" in Nigeria can mean a lot of things to so many people except of course the person "doing very well" who may not have been paid for 5,6,12 months. To dress well no always mean say person dey do well.
