This so called meeting can be added to the list of great tactical blunders. I am glad it has been shelved. You are trying to present a common front against a government, who like every other organisation and individuals is aware of how deadly your "bite" can be. Are you not giving the a heads up to "arrest/detain" all of you at that meeting? |

dokyOloye: I don't even have words for U. I know U are one of those lab rats who always claim to know more than even God and go about damaging ppl's health. If a patient presents wt diabetes and after some time U notice he/she has achieved good glycemic control via dietary modification,do U still need to place d person on drugs? I repeat 80% of diabetics fall into this group who just watch their diet and that's all. Most of all these Ogas at d top are diabetic/ hypertensive but b/c they are educated/rich and can comply wt d dietary/lifestyle changes, they rarely need to take drugs. I know that at most,U are just a lab rat,d type that wear their lab coat to d market and call themselves doc. I can bet my wage that you never went anywhere near a medical school as you are completely clueless. At least I am a lab rat. I know that in diabetes , the aim is for agressive glycaemic control to reduce risk of its micro and macrovascular complications. I know that there is no chance in hell that diet alone will give you that agressive control to keep HbA1c between 48 and 59mmol/mol. Sorry, I can't hold it back any longer. Sir, you are a dolt and out of your depth here. |

Instead of making noise over what is not, he would have entered into the nearest court of law and seek re-dress for his client. Simple as ABC. You missed this bit of the press release. The general public is also invited to note that the SSS should be held responsible if anything untoward happens to our Client in their custody or subsequently as a consequence of his unlawful detention. The press release is aimed at the general public. That the press release does not say that has been done does not mean it has not been done . Comprende? |

senier007: Chief of Army Staff, Major General T.Y. Buratai has said that, the Nigerian Army must wake up to its traditional responsibility of defending the integrity of the nation in the face of challenges posed by the Islamic sect, Boko Haram.
Buratai who was speaking on Sunday during his visit to military formation in Konduga local government area of Borno state renamed the the operation from “Operation Zaman Lafiya” to ” Lafiya Dole” saying the change was informed owing to the fact that, government has given the insurgents the opportunity for peace but they threw it away, hence “enough is enough.”
The new Army Chief, who addressed the troops assured them of continued support, adding that, it is their duty to ensure that peace returns to the northeast whether the insurgents like it or not.

it is the usual sensationalism of lawyers of corrupt people. HE will not die till he faces the consequences of his act of sabotage. We are getting somewhere. Lawyer says not getting his medication, DSS should come and say, thats not the case, until then , He is not getting his medication. On another note, we either subscribe to justice or lynch mob. Justice stipulates that he is innocent until proven guilty. Locking him up when he has not gone through due process is not justice. I will bet my bottom dollar that all na show. He would be released with no charges filed or get the charges thrown out by the court. BTW: In the old soviet union, political prisoners sometimes died a "natural" death when the state denied them medication. |

As an example, Steve Dixon, Sky News presenter, is diabetic....infact he has the type of diabetes that requires regular insulin injections...and is still able to do a high pressure job as a TV journalist. As is BBC Sport presenter Alan Green. Thank you from this Diabetic, Hypertensive and Asthmatic doing a high pressure and stressful job. Okafor's Law of Congodynamics C 1 P = C ∞
It states that once a Congo has been shined once (C 1 ) , it can always be shined (C ∞ ) provided it was shined properly ( P) the previous times.(emphasis on properly). In other words, "....a woman once knacked, can be reknacked..." Just like we say "water finds its level" Which is not exactly how Achimedes narrated his contemplation, of all things floatation. In scientific circles, opinion is divided as to whether it is actually a law or just a hypothesis. There is a large body of evidence to suggest that it is a law but there are others who think it is merely a hypothesis and does not take into account other variables such as M (marital status), O(opportunity) and F (Financial status) of either one or both of the parties.
In lay-mans term what the above jargons simply mean is dat. A hole once drilled, drilled properly even when closed up can always be found and can be drilled forever' if u have been involved with a girl for a period of time and did a good job in and out of the bedroom (mostly in..), the belief is that u can always go to the girl at any given time and sleep with her again no matter what situation arises (breakups, different lover, etc..) http://thathman..co.uk/2012/01/okafor-law-of-congodynamics.html |

shachris02: A lot has being said about the lackadaisical attitude of the current administration towards defeating Boko Haram and i am not here to join issues.
All i am asking is that we look at it from another angle.
To me, Buharis has made more progress against boko haram in 30 days than Jonathan has made in 6 years. You doubt?
Let's take a look at PMB's achievement against boko ramam in 30 days.
What i think PMB is doing is gathering intelligence and partnerships so that he can fully tackle this insurgency once and for all. By arresting their chief financier, he has access to the core of their operations.
Boko Haram boys know this. That is why they are bombing vehemently to force the government to commit; to force the government into a blind offensive operation. Doing this would take us all back to square one.
Defeating an insurgency is not all shot and shot. You can ask the Americans. It takes massive intelligence gathering so that you don't only defeat them, but you also curb their re-insurgence.
I believe in PMB. Do you? No I don't and if you really believe what you wrote up there, that your father has a tool for a child. |

Despite recent attacks by the Boko Haram sect, President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday said Nigeria is progressively winning the war against insurgents.
He said this in his address as the Special Guest of Honor at the graduation of 174 military officers of senior course 37 of the Armed Forces Command and Staff College (AFCSC), Jaji.
https://s6.postimg.org/hyr5qqkup/buhari_2.jpg
The President pointed out the importance of harnessing the strengths of multiple security actors as demonstrated in the fight against terrorism.
Represented by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, Buhari expressed confidence in the quality of training received by officers in the institution, which according to him has adequately prepared the military to confront current threats to national and global security.
He, however, cautioned the officers to be mindful of the “distracting and diversionary” nature of today’s highly sensitive media environment.
“Some of you will be deployed in crisis-prone areas, for either internal security or peace support operations outside your country, giving that we live in a common global environment, you must be conscious of your actions,” he warned the graduands.
On the global scene, Buhari said Nigeria remains firmly committed to the maintenance of international peace and security, adding that the country will continue to collaborate with other governments to promote peace, stability and development on the African continent and around the world.
He therefore charged the military to leave up to expectations at all time and to uphold the nation’s enduring legacy in global peacekeeping operations.
“As members of the armed forces, you have a principal role to play in protecting the lives and property of our citizens.
“While maintaining internal peace and security remains primarily the responsibility of the civil police, the scale of the current security challenges facing our nation requires the military to play a more decisive role in support of civil power.
“Always remember that ethnicity and religious intolerance are the greatest threats to our collective security as people and as a nation. I urge you all to guard against these negative sentiments in the discharge of your noble duties,” the President counseled.
