My husband paid N100 as against the N60 asked for. That was cause there was no change. The only cost on the bridal list was a big he-goat for the 'Umunna'. My dad is a stickler for doing it by the book.

You can take your employer to court and ask the court to declare him bankrupt. The bankruptcy law is there for a reason. If you can't pay your debts, declare bankruptcy and let the liquidator sell of your assets to pay your debts.

Pls avoid Primer vera just before Sangotedo. They sell extra adulterated fuel. Once I almost bought fuel there. I stopped and saw a guy arguing with them. Seems like he bought fuel and his car knocked right there at the fuel station. He got a mechanic and he said it was bad fuel. Na so I run commot.

Also, Connoil in Surulere (Eric Moore) sells bad fuel. It has knocked my generator several times. Also, AP and MRS always mess with their meters.

Laterna is at Oke-Owo close, opposite Eko hotels and Suites in V.I. There are two of them. The first one is just for kids. Google the company, they have a website.

I had several Chinese classmates while I was studying for a Masters in UK who were very wealthy. There was a particular one that told us her dad was arrested on trumped up charges of corruption as per political persecution. My Church were praying 4 her and always encouraging her.


A friend of hers told me that the man was actually corrupt and that he sent his whole family to the UK just as he was to be arrested so that they can claim asylum. And that was what happened. I stopped feeling sorry for her.

I wonder why he didn't send such pictures to his wife?! Why to a random stranger. Now his career is ruined. Useless man. I blame him 100%.

My sister is getting married to a Yoruba guy. At first, I was very apprehensive. However, all the plans have been smooth and going great. I have a better appreciation for their culture. Its for the best in the long run.

An example of bad planning is this Lekki-Epe expressway that they are building. I can't understand why a year after the Phase 1 part of the road was completed, the gutter has not been constructed.

Anytime I pass the road on my way to work, I see the area is flooded and I wonder, this is dry season o. When the rains start, what will happen? Now we know.

I remember once, I think it was in 1993 or 1994, my family were leaving Church (St Saviours Church TBS) when we met a mad man in the traffic. He was totally naked (I was just starting primary school and I was seeing a naked adult male for the first time). He had a big rock in his hand which he used to tap on the windscreen and beg for money.

My dad gave him small change, he refused and threatened to break the glass. My dad gave him more money but he still refused! My dad had to give him a sizeable amount before he left. He continued with other cars. My dad was so furious but there was nothing to be done. Wow.

Why should you forgive him? Everyone seems to take it for granted that you will forgive him even your husband! I am with Dayokanu on this one. He should take the guilt of your shoulders and be in the doghouse. Ask for a trial separation, maybe he needs time to decide if he wants to be with you or with random 'pretty faces'. No matter what he says now, you need to keep your eyes peeled and trust him very little.

However, I have a problem with the way you handle confrontations. You can't ignore a statement today and then bring it up tomorrow. It shows that you can keep a grudge. If something annoys you, tell him in a nice way. Don't wait for the next argument to throw it in his face. It makes you sound petty and immature.

@ Siena, just to mention that friends can be even more nonchalant than family. Anyway, I think you guys are making it into too much of a big deal. Our next of kin is my sister not Godparents. I look at it as a way of cementing some informal relationships.

@ Dozieson and Fnep2smooth, your English is atrocious. There is a thread in the Education board that teaches English, search for it. How did you pass the 'KPMG conducted test'? They should have screened and checked for ability to communicate in English.

Wow. I thought everyone has Godparents. I loved mine. They were sooo generous unlike my brother's own, aka gum. Lol.

It's a church thingy 4 us cos at baptism, a child is required to have 3 Godparents depending on d sex of d child. My little baby is having his baptism next Sunday and we have informed the Godparents who are so delighted.

The am not in agreement with the original definition of Godparents (when my extended family never finish). I just look at it as a way of sealing lifelong friendships, thanking people for their help and just fulfilling tradition. Still dropping hints with my friends so they will make me a Godmother when they start having kids.

All my flights av been relatively uneventful. However, does flying boat count? We lived on an island for 5 of my early years. It was always by boat either the slow one for carrying cars or the faster one 4 carrying only people.  
There was another boat, extremely fast, that was for the top officials. One day I entered it with my dad 2 get 2 d island. It was so fast that I got scared n leaned on a pillar. What I thought was a pillar was a big stick and it gave way under me cos it wasn't bolted 2 d ground. I fell n almost tumbled into d water but my dad caught me and took me inside. I lost my school bag but that was a small price 2 pay.
