If they can afford it, they should go and do a masters n den return. Thank God dem no post my brother go there. BTW, which part of the country is safe? When I was serving, it was Niger Delta but they posted me there and I survived. Then it was East n Benin with the kidnapping n people survived. It just depends on what is reigning at that time. |
Kai, make i remember my own. |
pepperoni:I have never put anyone's name on my CV. It is a security measure. Do you really want to be sending those people's info around the web n in different places? When you are called for the job, they can then ask for referees. Pls, DON'T put their names there. Protect their privacy. |
It depends. How old is he? Is he strong for manual labour? |
Lagos stress is too much. See River Niger in front of my house. I don tire. Can't wait to retire to my village. Till then, I will keep sulking. (Actually, I av not gotten round to changing the profile. Can't even remember when I put it.) |
kinglove:What are roof brackets? Never heard of them. |
@ Remii, what u said is not the total truth. There has always been a very big flood whenever it rained and it lasted for a long time. E.g, my street has never had a gutter till they just built one. However, they made it higher than the road. The reason why it is worse this year is cos the rains have been heaviest this year. Last year, there was nominal rain. This year, we are having phenomenal amounts of rainfall. However, LCC is not helping by making their roundabout higher than the road n not doing the drainage. r, there was nominal rain. Heard that if u get chicken pox as an adult, that it is usually very serious but as a kid, not serious at all. Don't want my kids to get it cos I don't want to get it. |
How would u know when you started daycare at 3months. |
If a job states age as a requirement n u don't put it, ur application will be rejected ab initio. They feel that you don't meet up that's why ur hiding ur age. Sucks big time. |
I NEED HEEEELLLLP. I almost failed my exam cos i was reading platinumuk's case. I didnt submit my dissertation on time cos of Nland. Now, i close late cos i want to browse Nland in the office. HEEEELLLLPPPP!!!!!! Before my story becomes another story of the husband killing the wife cos she didnt have time for him. |
This has been a very trying time for my baby. Since i started work, almost a month now, he has cried daily whenever it is time to eat. He will squeeze his eyes tightly shut and yell at the top of his voice and waving his limbs around until he is finally weak and then eats a little. I have been so worried. He used to enjoy eating now he struggles to eat half of what he used to eat b4. I was so worried. I kept taking him to the hospital but they said just give him ORT and he will be okay. Well, he ate without the usual drama 4 d first time yesterday. My MIL played music for him and it calmed him sufficiently to eat. Now he eats and can't get enough of food that i have to supplement. Though his weight is not increasing as b4 but it is still increasing. Thank you all, for your tips and suggestions. Its not easy at all. |
@ Dayo, we don hear. Pls marry ur wife let her work from 5 to 9pm (cos of the traffic). If that works for you, no qualms. If someone else would rather stay at home and manage her house maybe run a business by the side, it’s her choice. Ur calling the person lazy is too mean. It’s her and by extension her husband's choice. I always remember the feeling of wishing my parents were more at home. It was me and my diary cos i only saw my parents’ weekends until my mum got a ministry job. Days spent listening to one yeye househelp telling us of her s excapades and of her talking dog is enough to reduce someone's IQ. My problem is that you are romanticizing your early childhood. If the women choose to do that, don't call them names. Like someone said, as a woman, once i had my kid, my priorities changed. I used to be so ambitious and career driven. Once, during a discussion i had with colleagues, i said that having a husband is good but having ICAN is better. Now, i am the one wanting to give up work so i can stay with my baby. |
The poster is a liar. HE IS A MAN. Elsafema:There are other posts that show that HE is a man. go on and look at his previus posts. |
Dayo abeg leave story. Dropping ur kids in Daycare is that not help? Whether u av a live in nanny or u av daycare, all na help. Go back and re-read your earlier statements. I live abd have lived all my life in Nigeria except for a brief stint abroad. My mum worked full time and we had a househelp as they didnt believe in daycares but as soon as the youngest was 1 and a half and started school, that was it. Just say the full truth and stop shading the stories, blurring the edges. |
This Ruq sef. What will it profit me to lie? I don't know you neither do you know me. I didn't have a boyfriend before 18 cos i felt i was not old enough to date and i had always known that whoever i start dating will be the person i will marry. Several people asked me out but when i met my husand, i knew he was THE ONE. It took him 1 yr to realise same and then we started "dating". I put dating in brackets cos from the get go, we knew it was marriage. We got married a yr ago and av a beautiful son now. That it didn't work for you doesn't mean there is no one that it is working for. |
Dayo, what u said is a BIG FAT LIE!!! How won't your mum have had help while also working? Did she back u guys as babies to the office? Abi she dey work for daycare? So she walked everyday to work? Was her office 2 streets away or she didnt mind being late? Na wa 4 u guys. If u want to lie, tell small small ones so that we can pretend we did not see it. |
@ Ruq, i started dating my husband when i was 18 and 7 yrs down the line, we are still happily married. |
Am alone, what is the tower structure u av there? |
first floor or ground floor, all na US versus UK. Ok, my house na first floor which i am grateful floor. No flood shall come near my dwelling. Sorry that the picture is so large. Dont know how to reduce it. |
Better to drink honest garri than stolen rice. |
God help me. It rained this morning and the water is back up where it was. I need prayers. I dont want my house to be flooded. Though i am not on the first floor but the compound can get flooded.
|
I will kick him out of my house. Is he mad? |
I wouldnt mind doing a job i really enjoy like set up a daycare rather than this stressful, everybody is out to get you type of job. I come home and i am so tired and drained that i can barely play with my baby who always stays up waiting for me not to mention oga who may be feeling frisky. It might not be much money but it will give me fulfillment. Looking after babies is a physically tiring process but so rewarding. The best part is when they smile at you, all your tiredness ebbs away. I would like to be a part time homemaker though my husband wants to earn as much as possible so that i can be a stay at home mum. |
Those pictures are very possible. I could see people's compunds covered with water, i dont know whether it got in but the height of that water makes me believe so. My advice, don't move into a house in Lekki unless u av seen it during the rainy season. We just moved here from Surulere but with what i have seen, i am moving back to the mainland or Oniru. This one pass me. The rain almost entered our compund. Thank God it is high. I am having issues with posting the pictures but i will find a way. |
Definitely. It is my plan and my goal but 4 yrs is too short. 7 yrs is more like it. |
Signing in. Spyder880 no forget me o. |
Gabry, u know i always wish u d best. Are u guys back together? |
These LCC people are so wicked. They built the roundabout at Igbo-efon so high that when it rains, all the water flows into the road. See flood sha. This is 5 days after that heavy rain and the shops are still locked cos of the flood. No one can get in or out of their shops. Also, the people that built houses here early have the whole compound flooded. Mosquitoes have increased overnight. I don tire for this yeye Lekki. I will post pictures soon. |
I married my first boyfriend after we dated for 6 yrs. |
He built the roads in my village. Ngige said he won't but Peter Obi did. I can't thank him enough. Now shame has been wiped from my head. No more will they yab me that the SUV that can pass our roads has not been built yet. |
