It is absolutely shameful that we are a people who seem to be corrupt beyond redemption. Most Nigerians are corrupt and, given the chance, will show their true corrupt nature. The same Nigerians isult the leaders when things dont go right in the system.
I have also had a few altercations at the MMIA in the past. Everyone there seems to be out to extort anyone and everyone. IT'S REALLY SHAMEFUL.
I feel for the guy who got his passport taken by NDLEA officials who have absolutely no right to check people's passports BUT I have also had the same issue before. I remember trying to tell an NDLEA official that he had no right to check my passport and the immigration official standing by explained to me that the guy had a right to check my passport. What does one do in such an instance?
The issue of taking food abroad is comething else. As soon as they see you're taking some Nigerian delicacy with you, you are a target for them. The last time, I had to insult the idiot who questioned me about it and I sent it back to my brother who had seen me off to the airport.
If so many of us are always looking to exploit others, why do we have a right to complain about the state of the nation? Nigerians are corrupt and have no right to complain about corruption. The same animals extorting at the airports will tell you that Nigeria is too corrupt and things need to change. they dont want to change anything first. |

who told swish that prostitution is legalised in THE REST OF THE WORLD? stop making untrue statements. Jakumo: Nigerian universities are in fact brothels, with the boys actively pimping the girls, regardless of what the law says, therefore all such establishments should be subject to a federal small-business ( or BIG business ) tax, that will be assessed depending on the internal displacement of the hos involved. Jakumo, that is not reason to legalise it. Do you legislate a wrong thing as right simply because a lot of people are engaged in wrongdoing anyway? Maybe we should legalise drug abuse and drug smuggling in America fort he Governmant to tax because very many of the youth are engaged in it anyway |

Marriage is a good thing and almost every 'normal' human being desires it. Nothing wrong in wanting to get married and nothing wrong in taking relationships seriously.
What is wrong is when you jump from one relationship to another allowing your body to be played with by several men in the name of having fun. Which man do you think will be happy to have you when you have essentially become a left-over' of several different men?

nigeria about to venture into same; already Govt has given more support to these guys than their own people, naturally, their own people will start to give-up; lossing skill, technic, etc and when relationship goes bad: BOOM! Nigerians must farm/feed Nigeria; because it is their root; no where to run, they will still be there.
Thats why EU/US support 120% their OWN farmers with Subsidy.

Are you the famous Iche Oku actor? he he he Spermdrops: I don't know why either. They should have their baggage allowances futher reduced as punishment for not being able to maintain their own airlines, domestically or internationally to put them to shame!
Yes, I have a problem with that. When some Nigerian- spokes person comes out of the woodwork to be used to do British Airways "dirty" work. It just shows how low Nigerians will stoop for fame and a dim spot in the limelight. All along, not a thing from British Airways. Then all of a sudden a "Nigerian spokesman" working for British Airways, probably employed like in "yesterday" will come out and start "defending" and "regretting". In this case, I need a full-blooded white, hook-nosed, freckled skinned Brit to come on BBC World News to address the matter. Not some spokes-person located at the Ajegunle motor-park branch of imaginary BA staff!
Does it not sound "fishy" to you? Don't you recognize when you are being used even to further humiliate you in front of the whole world? I I get your drift here. We (Nigerians) always allow ourselves to be used, even against our own brothers and sisters. It's all for filthy lucre Spermdrops: He is no different from one since what he did by confronting the Law Enforcement agents aboard an international airline brought about chaos on the aircraft and subsequent "abortion" and "evacuation" of the flight. Can he try that in Nigeria with the Nigerian MOPOLS from Chad?
How can any one in his or her right mind claiming to be living in any part of the "western" world do such a foolish thing?
The funniest part of the whole thing is that he calls himself a "British" citizen. No normal "British citizen"would display such "Nigerian unruly and nonsensical" form of interference in the guise of a "good samaritarian hunch"! That was outright lawlessness. If he wanted to air his grievances, there were much better ways to do that.
As punishment, he remains banned from BA for life, just like any Al-Qaeda terrorist will be treated. How is he different? Imagine the disgrace world--wide?
I would have changed my first and last names for this alone. I don't think I want to be internationally recognized as the "One" a foreign airline put on their "terror" watch list. Anywhere anyother airline sees that name, of course it sends a red flag of a potential repeat performance, since disgraceful Nigerian deportees will keep hollering and bellowing in resistance aboard international flights. This should teach most people around the world a huge lesson. Especially if your native country cannot boast of one single internationally bound airline or even maintain the "patched-up" Tokunbo ones flying "above grass level" in Nigeria! He is not listed as a terrorist and BA does not have the right to label him a terrorist. Besides, there are several normal law abiding British citizens who have been involved in physical actions to stop deportations. It would be wrong to say that he is doing something no person in his right mind would do it. I think you'll discover that most people in their right minds will not be comfortable on a flight with someone shouting and being forced to stay down. I dont want to go into specifics but even the Home Office will tell you about the several times when 'white' (you obviously respect white) normal people have physically protested against deportations on flights and at airports |

Is it not for the committee to bring out proof of an official's misappropriation or maladministration? Do you just tell someone that you accuse him of something and have nothing to pin on him?
I'd like the ex-Presido to be prosecuated if there is evidence against him but it seems that this committee has invited him to defend himself against NOTHING. It's rubbish. They should investigate properly and try to get something on him before asking him to defend himself. Why do we never have anything against the morons that govern us and we all know that they are mismanaging our economy?

Foreign Affairs › Re: New Mayor of London Boris Johnson is Racist? by Blatant: 10:57am On May 12, 2008 |
Tats: I don't believe that majority of whites really want migrants out of the country. What annoys them is when migrants are given priority over them in terms of housing, education, benefits, e.t.c. Do your colleagues or classmates think you shouldn't be here in the first place? The average UK citizen want immigration controls, not necessarily complete freeze on immigration. Afterall, British people are heavy migrants too, migrating to France, spain, Portugal, Australia, e.t.c.
The bottomline is that our leaders should get their acts together in Nigeria. Most Irish people who migrated have returned to Ireland in recent periods as the country is now very prosperous. If Nigerians return, it is obvious that they will be concentrated in the major cities so overpopulation will definitely be an issue. I like your thought process and ideas. However, the fact that your mates dont think you should not be here does not mean they dont think every other black person should not be here. Why else do you think political parties always make immigration their main issue at campaign time? They know what they hear on the doorsteps. If Nigeria was a well-run country, I may not have returned to the UK anyway. |

Has British Airways commented on receiving any "lawsuit"? I think when we hear from both sides we will get the true picture of things. Meanwhile "he" remains BANNED from British Airways! All we have here is a one-man show from the "Nigerian" angle! British Airways is not even paying you any attention with all the noise being made by Nigerians. After over 2 months, not a single representative from British Airways to address your concerns. You must be very irrelevant to them!
I THINK BRITISH AIRWAYS JUST SAID YOU GUYS CAN GO TO HELL AND ROT THERE! A sign of the attitude they have towards Nigerians and reason why I'll not fly BA again! I travelled KLM to Nigeria last year and it was a good journey, not any worse than all my BA flights. |

Kobojunkie: Rubbish!!! The Government has not been to do that ever before. Why expect them to do it now?? If you bothered to read the responses on here, you will find that there are many who are angry mostly causes these particular group are white. We have been supplying electricity to places like chad for so long, I do not see people like you complaining. All of a sudden, this is a greater issue?? Plus, we are speaking of one state in the country here. Where we have given so many contracts and will continue to give many away to foreign companies in time to come and sudden you want to claim you care what level of support your "Government" has given your local farmers, many of whom have quit farming and stayed waiting for handouts from government for years ( a government even a child would not think of relying on)?? I'm suprised that you consider it rubbish that I dare to complain about double standards and it is disappointing that it seems the only reason you dont like this is the fact that white people are involved. The issue here is whether or not this is double standards - one standard for these 'new special farmers' and another for Nigerian farmers. You obviously think it's proper for the government to treat Nigerian farmers worse than it will treat these foreign farmers, or is it just the case that you believe these farmers deserve special treatment for the colour of their skin? |

Sly, it's really a frustrating situation when a Government does not consider the fact that it's hindering help to it's own people.
However, I tried to see it from the burmese govt perspective and I can understand why it is acting the way it's acting. It knows that as soon as it allows Americans and westerners into the country, that country will get torn to bits. Aid workers send information back to the American government hence acting as spies etc. The American govt does not particularly like the burmese govt, indeed most govts around the world dont like the Burmese govt. There are so many things around the politics.
I wish the government will allow the people to get the help they need. It's a sad sad situation. |
