bawomolo: how does it homosexuality affect u negatively.
i posted links at the beginning of the thread. it seems u want more
http://www.newscientist.com/article/dn6519-survival-of-genetic-homosexual-traits-explained.html
It is true homosexuality has been around for a long time, but it was unnatural then and still is
how can something, that's as hold as humanity be unnatural. it exists all over the human spectrum
It's up to you accept what you will, but wrong to try to impose your views, especially in a society where it is clearly opposed
integration was opposed in america, see what happened. women's voting rights was opposed in america, see what happened. bigotry should be challenged and not allowed to continue.
homosexuality is natural, so i don't get your point. Homosexuality affects me negatively if you try to make my children believe that it is natural! Homosexuality is abnormal what should be challenged is the attempt to force homosexual views upon normal, rational human beings! actually u are wrong, approximately 10% of the world is homosexual/bisexual. this can be seen as a form of population control. a way to curb overpopulation. the world's population definitely hasn't been on the decline. Please tell me this is a joke! I know you're an intelligent guy and you wont post this in seriousness |

Heavensnt: Hello all, I'm a young, physically fit, african american woman in my twenties living in the united states. I don't consider myself to be desperate or lonely, but I do believe that I have fallen in love with a man who is my age from Nigeria. He is from Akwa Ibom State but currently lives in Lagos. He is the sweetest, most intelligent, caring, and understanding man I have ever met and at this point in our relationship he gives me no reason not to trust him or doubt his feelings for me. I truly do believe he cares for me because he does all he can to make me happy without asking for anything in return. He has never asked me for money or anything to make me suspect that he is a scammer. However, I have read countless stories on the web about Nigerian scammers who prey on the hearts of women in the US and these stories have raised fears within me. The stories I have heard about are endless and they say that Nigeria is the number one country of men who scam american women. This has also caused me to become paranoid and doubt his love for me. Lately I have been asking him so many questions and even though he answers them all, I can tell that he is hurt by my sudden lack of trust in him. I have known him less than a year and we are already talking about marriage in our future and he wants me to come and meet his parents. After that he wants to come here on his visa and start a life and a family with me. He assures me that he is not interested in me for green card purposes and that he can come over as a visitor and keep renewing the visa he already has. I have never been in this situation before but my heart and mind both are telling me that he is a good man. I don't want my fears to drive him away especially if he is indeed the good man that I really feel he is. So I need to know your thoughts and opinions. You know so much about a man you've never met |

the marriage that he is not even man enough to call himself a husband?i don tire o. . .abeg, dnt let her go back to that sorrowful life, it's obvious that her husband wants her with him in his miserable life. . This is perhaps the daftest post here. How dare anyone refer to someone's husband as a owrthless thing!!! This is the same guy who was her darling and they must have had good times for them to have kids. Now that it seems things are not going right for the guy, some people think it's right for the guy to be seen as worthless. Hopefully, you'll all reap the rewards of your thoughts towards others. Nigeria is the best place to see that a man's life consists of what he has in financial terms. No wonder all the politicians want to steal whenever they get the chance. If that same husband becomes a politicaian and embezzles money to become rich, many here will sing his praises. Or if was into fraud and has successfully scammed some people, he would not be a WORTHLESS man. We do need to grow up as a people |

bawomolo: 1. kleptomania and pedophilia affects people negatively, homosexuality doesn't it. it's a stupid stereotype when people associate homosexuals with pedophilia and or necrophilia. most pedophiles are usually heterosexual by the way.
2. what's your evidence that being a pedophile is genetic??
3. there's no mention in the article that the kids would be taught that homosexuals were born that way.
you are right, liberalism in nigeria has caused all these evil. those homosexuals would ruin the world!!!!!!!!!!!!
lol, maybe we should go back to the good ole days of human sacrifice, killing twins, and circumcision. i guess preaching tolerance is a western idea. https://i190.photobucket.com/albums/z255/OGIC/laff.gif
homosexuality is not ancient to our culture, it actually as always existed. Homosexuality affects people negatively. it may not affect you negatively but it does affect a lot of people negatively. That's the reason there is more resentment towards it than most others things being introduced. What EXACT evidence is there that homosexuality is genetic? Anyhow, if we teach tolerance of homosexuality, we should teach tolerance for paedophilia and kleptomania as well. Homosexuality has always been taboo in our Nation and should remain so for our own good. |
Foreign Affairs › Re: British Authorities Have Gone Mad by Blatant(op): 6:23pm On Mar 25, 2008 |
bawomolo: huh what the heck. no wonder nigeria is rife with tribalism and sexism due to logic such as this.
it's the responsibility of parents and teachers to guide their kids in the right direction. the kids should be exposed to it then ALLOWED to make their minds up
tolerance is telling them that what is considered abominable(homosexuality) actually isn't Dont quote me out of context. Why dont they start teaching that people are born paedophiles as well? or why dont they start teaching that some people are born kleptomaniacs and so should be allowed to practice kleptomania? The logic is sound and has nothing to do with Nigeria's present state. The present state of nigeria is brough about by people with your kind of ideas who have completely disrupted the goodness of life in our country. Nigeria was not the way it is now when I was younger and we did not have such excessive western influence. When we import things that are alien to our nature, we become a confused people and that is what has happened to us as a Nation now. |

I think she should never have got married in the first place. Reason is that it is now obvious that money is more important than the marriage.
To call a guy a loser because he has been unable to get a job in Nigeria is totally unfair as well. There are very intelligent guys in nigeria who are unable to get decent jobs because of the state of the nation. Let's not be so hasty in judging people's conditions simply because we have never been in such conditions or because we are fortunate enough to have escaped the situations.
How can people be married and be living so far away from each other. When exactly was the last time the couple set eyes on themselves? I will advise that you divorce the man on the grounds that you'd rather stay with your economic comfort |
Foreign Affairs › Re: British Authorities Have Gone Mad by Blatant(op): 5:55pm On Mar 25, 2008 |
bawomolo: how does it influence what your kids are taught in school, they are not influencing them with homosexuality at all. just teaching tolerance. u might have to consider home schooling or catholic school if u are so concerned about teachers giving your kids a realistic view of sexual orientation in the world we live in. Pray, why do they have to teach them tolerance? They dont have to teach them tolerance or intolerance: they should be allowed to make their minds up. What you call teaching of tolerance is actually what is known as brainwashing. Brainwashing them into believing that the abominable is normal |

First thing is that the guy died as a Nigerian. he only became American after his death so you can really say he died for his adopted country.
Man is still defined, to an extent, by Nationality amongst a lot of other things by which man is defined. if not, we would all be moving in and out of every country without being hindered or without barriers. If he choses and is allowed to become a national of any country, then that's the country that he will be associated with.
You cant speak so dismissively of man's nationality |

I wouldn't compare homosexuality with the civil rights movement, i think they are worlds apart in terms of the issues and people affected. Neither can you compare it with what you mentioned about Indians, totally out of context. Read my post, i never said i hated homosexuals, every man can do what he wants with his body, i'm a liberal person. But that doesn't mean I have to accept every concept that 'liberals' propose. Some things in life are simply obvious. My thought as well |

This is a ddecsion that you made on your own, based on the poor experiences you have had. I have had bad experiences with ALL races, but I treat human beings equally and deviate only at the personal level You do assume that I have always suffered from racism. If you go back to read my post, you'll discover I said that I experienced racism when I moved location. I have always had love for ALL human beings, and still do but I dont know if I can love someone if I see them in terms of their white race |
Politics › Re: Frank Talk About Race And Racism by Blatant: 3:35pm On Mar 19, 2008 |
poster, I had never considered myself someone who could react to racism. As a matter of fact, I denied claims of racism from some of my friends until I decided that I should reside permanently in 'the land of the white man'. the city I live in is predominantly white and you only need to hear stories of what happens to non-white people for you to start reacting and becoming bitter towards them.
I know that I may never have suffered from racism as much as many other people but I do realise that my attitude has changed with regards to other races as a result of my experiences and the things that I hear about.
To sum it up, if white people never showed me racism, I'd never have anything but normal human love for EVERY human being |

of course they do, most if not all sex education classes are taught based on heterosexualism. there's nothing bad exposing kids to things they would definitely see.
if u dislike western colomentality, then why don't u move to naija then. leave the whites to their demise right ?
something that happens naturally in the wild and among humans all across the globe isn't abnormal. If we are to accept everything in the name of modernisation (even when they are evil), we should start encouraging kids and telling them that it's okay to take hard drugs just so we can move away from the days of old. Moving away from old is only desirable when you are moving on to better things. You dont need to force kids to do anything, you only need to expose them to such things for them to start practicing it - that's why they are called CHILDREN. Why else do you think there has been so much noise with regards to violence and sexual innuendos in rap music or why does the government classify movies? I dont have to move to Nigeria just to prove that I dont like colomentality. I live as a Nigerian in UK. BTW I am British. Homosexuality does not happen naturally among humans. It happens with depraved animals. Even as a kid, I always saw dogs sniffing other dogs to be sure that they are female before trying to woo them. Did humans become worse than dogs because your so-called modernisation and western culture? |

nigeria has the best of secondary education. u sure u have not drank too much emu?? Does any school ever make EFFORTS talk inclusively about heterosexualism? Kids decide for themselves as they grow. I'd rather be homophobic than expose my children to people who want to encourage them to become homosexuals.
