Right from over 10 years ago when she was going through her several failed ivf cycles until she gave birth to her children, she still never abandoned this thread. Despite that God has answered her, she still takes her time out to answer TTC moms and I believe her passion runs deep because she was once in the same shoe. I'm sure that nairaland doesn't pay her to respond.

I am in a dilemma and I need advice on what to do.

A bit of background about myself: I am a 29 years only child from a very poor background. I work for an IT firm which i joined in 2019 as a graduate trainee.

My total income is around 490k (400k from main job, 90k from a writing side gig).

My challenge:
Recently, My host have told me to look for my accommodation and I have been searching for houses. Unfortunately, the places closer to my places of work is expensive.

I work in VI and the cheapest mini flat I have seen in close vicinity is 1.2M at Ajah.

I also have have a building project I am undertaking in the village that is at roofing stage and my parents have been pressuring me to settle down as the only child.

My dilemma is this, If i go for the house at Ajah, it will eat a bulk of my savings, thereby making it impossible for me to complete the building project or even start the process of settling down.

If I go for a cheaper but farer location, I will be spending more time in traffic.

Please, how do I manage this?

I'm not trying to talk down on girls as I'm not that kind of person. I respect every girl in the house but this is a very big concern for me.
I have observed that at least 6 out of every 10 new ladies I meet usually come down with vagina odour. The odour is characteristically "not very good" and it affects my sexual behavior towards such ladies. Not just sexual behavior, it affects how I behave to such lady in a negative way. This odour become more pronounced when having sex in a doggy position ( I hope most guys can relate). I don't like that odour sincerely, I am very sensitive to smell and thus can determine if we will last or not.

I usually feel like it's of no use discussing such issues with them because I can just move on, so my question are:

1. Do other guys perceive this odour in many girls?
2. Is it okay to discuss this issue with them?
3. If yes, then how can one discuss such sensitive issue?

The reason why I'm asking is because I have a girl that matches almost everything I want in a woman but she has this odour, I want to settle with her but sincerely, I can't even have sex with her anymore because of this odour. The last time she came to my house, I touched just her just once and that's it for the next 2 weeks. If I keep perceiving this odour and I ignore it to marry her, our sex life will be messed up and I will definitely cheat on her because i won't feel like having sex with her.

1. Both of u can check with a Dr or just go to a lab let her do vir.ginal swab test.
2. If there is yeast or any infection, let her treat while u also treat ursef. If no infection, she can still use any vj cream like canesteen for few days to keep the place fresh or even garlic.
3. Secondly, let her always wash up after peeing and wipe with a clean hand towel dedicated only to that purpose only as in the front while keeping another towel for the back side too so they don't get mixed up and wash regularly like weekly.
4. Let her learn to use pantiliners whenever she's wearing pants to avoid her vj coming in contacts wt the pants directly and learn to air that place without pants when at home
5. Finally let her learn to use her longest left finger while squatting to scoop inside when washing or rinsing. Scoop n rinse till everythg comes out and just rinse with water, no need for soaps as this can cause irritation. Many women dont kno how to wash the vj hence the odour but if u truly love her u can teach her these things subtly without her taking offence. U can start the discussion with "lets take a shower together" and during the shower u can introduce some of these thgs to her. I hope this helps

There's a strange thing I have observed that happened to me in this cycle that scared me.

I decided to try the DIY IUI shared by blendy77 and I had a missed period for 2days with no pregnancy symptoms just breast soreness.
On the third day of my missed period I had a terrible pulling sensation on the right just below my abdomen and then I felt like something exploded and I started getting brown discharge followed by the most painful period I ever had as an adult.
Has anyone gone through such? could this be appendicitis, cysts or any internal issues. I am tired of running tests as all the tests I had a month ago came back normal.
No block tubes, no hormonal imbalance, no fibroids just cysts and I don't have pcos.
I pray someone can explain what is happening to me.

Try and check with a Dr, what u just described sounds like either a cysts or worse case scenario ectopic. But still do a scan or beta hcg and check especially if the pain n bleeding is still there.

12 yrs old is too small to take care of other kids. Maids most times are between 10-20k. Why not take a maid and save yoursef this stress? Ur niece is too small for the tasks you are using her for. U may not need to send her back except feeding additional mouth is too much for u but get a nanny between 20-24yrs to do ur household chores n take care of the kids while u and ur wife are at work

Speak with your Dr or nurse. I think its administered up to 3 different times few days before transfer. Since its intravenous, it has to be administered by a medical person so talk to urs Dr about it.

Wanted to find out if anyone has a similar FET protocol as mine. Did anyone take Buserelin & HCG injections after their FET? Tried to read up on it but there isn’t research or write up on the taking it after FET. Back story, I had a freeze all protocol because I developed OHSS. Had to down regulate for 2 months with Zoladex before everything calmed down. Keeping my fingers crossed during the 2WW.

Busserelin for FET yes cos it's supposed to pause ur natural cycle. But HCG for FET I doubt u were given that except your Dr mixed it up. Its only given after stimulations to mature the embies n enable u ovulate

My wife hasn't seen her menses for some months now, the gyno placed her on metformin. She actually was diagnosed of pcos with very low progesterone level

Now the challenge is, BMI is 23, blood sugar is 78. And the sugar level keeps going down. The doctor advised her to take carbohydrates before the metformin. I thought metformin was for reducing sugar level? How come she is being advised to take food with sugar again? The drug is also making her weak

My question is, should she continue taking this metformin?
Should she induce the period while she continues taking drugs that will help her boost the progesterone level?

This issue is getting me bothered. Its been 5years after marriage no single miscarriage not to talk of pregnancy. Often times friends snide and make jest of me but truth is the problem doesn't come from me. Wife did hsg and result was bilateral tubal occlusion meaning both fallopian tubes blocked. Check the blocked tube thread for more infor. Her tubes are blocked around the uterus area since hsg reports says tubal oclusion.
