Mr Mikel!!
Leave matter for Mathias. That stuff Shouldn't lead to a penalty. It was involuntary.

If you must cry over anything, cry out loudly at your team's failure to zip-up when Moses scored.

I'm sorry though, your last international outing with the national team ended abysmally at the group stage.

Sports / Re: Odion Ighalo Apologises: 'I Take Responsibility For Super Eagles' Loss'' by blimeyVic(m): 3:18pm On Jun 27, 2018
My brother it's not your fault.

It is not even the referee's fault because that foul shouldn't attract a penalty at all cos the guy's hand involuntarily touched the ball.

It is not even the coach's fault cos he did his best.

It is the mentality that your team had while playing Croatia and Argentina that shook the table.

# The new super eagles coach, Jay-Jay Okocha, should start scouting for fresh and talented players cos Qatar 2022 will not be funny with the inclusion of more countries.
Politics / Re: Reno Omokri Blasts President Buhari Over Speech On Plateau Killings by blimeyVic(m): 9:18am On Jun 26, 2018
It is still a debate to be won that all killings are sponsored by politicians.

Must these people continue to play ping-pong with the lives of innocent Nigerians.

If your party isn't in power, it isn't right to perpetrate evil in order to cast a shadow on the other party, and if your party is ruling, you shouldn't use the power to perpetrate evil on your perceived enemies (out of hatred or greed).

All these happenings are as a result of high level of illiteracy among the citizenry and/or the so-called elite.

The government should focus on the root cause of these killings in order to avoid a re-occurrence.

Who ever made that forecast failed to pass his first school leaving examination.

If those religious scientists must make such predictions, then they must limit it to " True Christians who will worship God in truth, going into extinction ".

How can a business that keeps the value of your profit-before tax and profit-after-tax unchanged go into extinction?

Away from being funny on a Sunday afternoon, I'm predicting that there will be a tremendous increase in the number of people that will truly worship God in 25 years from now.

Sports / Re: Nigeria Vs Croatia: What Advice Would You Give To Coach, Rohr? by blimeyVic(m): 11:51am On Jun 17, 2018
* The coach should help his midfield and attacking players to change their pre-mature ejaculation mentality, because scoring a goal is not only about passing the ball to Moses who will now loop it into the box for a lucky header to score.
* The team played excellent football from the back.
They were able to control the speed of things, maintain ball possession , win free kicks, but they did all these in their own half of the pitch.

* I'm not focusing on any player or position, but on the entire team. They should replicate what they do from behind in the opponents 18 yrd box.
Teamwork is what matters.

* They should engage in 1-2 plays that create opportunities. The good thing about Spain is that once they have the ball, the players form a network immediately; there is always one or two players to pass to, near and afar. They form triangles, squares, straight line, and even circles right in the opponents 18. But in our case, except when in our half of the pitch, once someone has the ball, others would start running towards the opponent's goal expecting an imaginary pass that would still be intercepted .

* Our goal keeper should also be trained on targeting a player while pulling out the ball. it's a huge waste to haul the ball aimlessly into the field or across the lines.

* Our flower boys can become real heroes if they learn to own the ball in the opponent's half. Not just passing it around carelessly though, but passing in shapes that would give room for them to score using a strong short, skillful header, dribble and score, commit penalty and score, over head kick, bicycle kick, etc.
They can copy the Crotians or the Peru team too. When they want to score, they provide a good network of passes and the last man to score is the one that has the fewest marking opponents around him and has the clearest view of the goal. The final scorer mustn't be the usual attackers. The players should ask each other questions to know each persons strength so that when they are done networking, the final potential scorer would receive the ball in the manner and pace that best suits him.
That is what marcelo does for realmadrid.
Scoring goals is not done by always going back to build from behind, take the play to the opponents half, be skillfully and strategically hungry.

* Nigeria is a good side and should win the cup. We have the strenght, we defend well and win the ball from the opponent excellently. Even the win Croatia got, we gave them. No single one of their set-pieces could earn them a goal. If not for the "pardonable" mistake by etobo that gave them an own goal and the "unpardonable" challenge from our rugby-player-defender that gave them a penalty that they converted, everything for end 0-0.

# God bless Naija, God Bless the Coach, and God bless our team.

# Jay Jay Okocha for the job after Rohr.

The way some of us reason in Nigeria is just as outrageous as what seems impossible to define using any known English word.

President Buhari honoured Late Abiola by moving the democracy day to June 12 and a random man I happened to share a couch with went on ranting and making mischief.

The said man declared that PMB is simply sending a signal to the opposition that should he lose the election, that the Winner will be assassinated just as Abiola was. I just couldn't engage him. I simply took a glance at him, turned back and shook my head.

Your post reeks of emptiness. undecided It contains no tangible info or factual answers to the questions posed to you, about your so-called representative called Stephanie. You claim she was in the "...Right place, Right Time, Right info, Right preparation..." sad And I have asked you over and over to define exactly what you mean by this phrase, and to spell out the criteria used to select her to represent the millions of Nigerian youth, at the Commonwealth Summit.

Instead, you keep dabbling into inanities and beating around the bush. Is that what she employed you to do?

Evening Laudate. I had a hectic day. Hope yours went well?

Ehe!! About this issue eh?
Male or female , whichever you are, Biko /Kpele /Abeg you win.
I'm a peace loving Nigerian that is inclined to co-exist happily with anyone.

I could slide into her DM for her to "spell out the criteria used to select her" but I prefer not to.
Just as that student, that I used as an example, travelled to Germany for one year industrial training, Barrister Chioma has gone to London today not only for shopping, but also to participate in the commonwealth summit.
For more on the "Rs", you can surf eBay and rent Philip Kotler's (& Keller's) text on Marketing Management.

Lol!! My post wasn't empty, you just decided not to see the agape love propelling every word I wrote. My objective for commenting has not been to find faults or to pick quarrels, but it has been to inform the larger audience as well as to celebrate a worthy smart lady, a Social Media Personality. Hahaha abeg no vex. life is too short . Take it nwayoly!!

Stephanie would still be at the commonwealth summit next year with her team.
She is an elegant lady, a 100yards wife material and everyone is proud of her.

You made mention of her fading out too soon, please do well to follow her matter up.

Goodnight Laudate. See you at the "Top-most Top".

Guy, all this PR you are trying to do for her does not cut any ice with me. sad My question still stands. "What criteria was used in selecting her to represent all the millions of Nigerian youths at the Commonwealth Summit?" Just one or two sentences would do. No need for a long epistle.

Tell us what exactly you mean by saying "someone who has worked hard to be at the right place & time, & stayed focused to seize the right opportunities that life offers...." undecided See, a lot of people work hard. The butcher who sells meat at the market near my estate, also works hard. He is at the abbattoir by 5 a.m. in order to get the right meat products for sale, to his various customers who are 20 kilometres away. Now what work exactly did your Stephanie do, to gain entrance into the Commonwealth Summit, to represent Nigerian youths?

You then called her a 'Social Media personality?' Is that a new job role? shocked Last time I checked, Linda Ikeji was a mere blogger. Ok, a blogger who happened to strike it rich. She has not changed her profession since the last time I saw her, so which one is all this social media personality title, that you are waving around here? Who coined that title? And what are their duties and responsibilities?

By the way, why is she just putting up a post on all her social media platforms, (only goodness knows which platforms they are!) at this late hour or last minute, after the Commonwealth Summit has started, asking for opinions from well meaning Nigerian youth in order to enable her develop a speech/string of questions? shocked Didn't she do any background study on previous summit sessions, and design questions long before boarding a plane to the UK?

And if you say she is an awesome barrister, how many cases has she filed and won on behalf of her clients? In what aspect of law did she specialise? Is she a solicitor, or a barrister, or a charge and bail lawyer? Does she specialise in admiralty law, family law, real estate, medical malpractice, intellectual property law, international law or what exactly?

I do not subscribe to exaggeration. undecided Neither should you. You said she was handpicked. Ok, handpicked by who? By singing her praises to high heavens, without any facts or figures to support her story, or any true objective data that can be used to verify her strides, you are actually doing her a great disservice. Anything built on hype, will crash like a pack of cards.... It is only a matter of time. sad

Good Morning Laudate. Hope you slept well?
Well my night was awesome; I almost overslept.
I've got a client to meet by 9:15am so I wouldn't be available to reply (after this one) till 3:30pm.

What Criteria? Lol.
Can anyone own the least evaluated bid and win a contract if they do not tender?
You see my friend, there are loads of opportunities in life, but there are no libraries that catalogue them.

Back then in the university, I remember, there were brainy chaps wandering around streets in search of industrial training placement opportunities, but an average student succeeded in travelling abroad on an International IT student Transfer/Exchange Programme free of charge!! That window is still open, yet only few know about it (inbox me for details).
What made the difference? Though he wasn't the best, but the R's worked in his favour and he represented "Nigerian Undergraduates".
Right place, Right Time, Right info, Right preparation. Everything is not Ima mmadu!!

Her area of concentration, work description, and no of cases filed and won are all perceived selection criteria that the uninitiated can't adopt. Please keep issues within the scope of this discussion and don't be too emotional about things.
The pretty lady showed up and that's the most important thing.

No doubt, our butcher friend works hard at the abattoir , definitely, he would exploit the opportunities that lie abound in that location.

In information gathering across teams, even the last piece of detail can be a game changer. As an active team member, she tried to give her best.

Ehe!! You said you needed facts & figures to support her story.
Ngwa nu!!

She is beautiful, popular not famous, and from a humble background. Lol. The figure
is 8.

In summary, the post isn't about PMB, the system for selection of representatives , or the audience (us), it's about the barrister (and her team).
If you get to know her, you won't stop liking her.

Hello.
As a person, I detest engaging in arguments. However, I think it's laudable to laud someone who has worked hard to be at the right place & time, & stayed focused to seize the right opportunities that life offers. Don't you think so Laudate?

Last night, she tried, amid her tight schedule, to put up a post on all her social media platforms asking for opinions from well meaning Nigerian youth in order to enable her develop a speech/string of questions that would be representative as well as thoughtful. I'm sure she delivered well.

Social Media personality? What do they do? What does Linda Ikeji do? How much do they earn? Is that one a job? Funny you laudate!! Quite ridiculous.
Anyway, the SMP stuff is a side thingy that she engages in at her spare time, and her followers stay glued to her too. The big one is that she's an awesome barrister.; even her dad pays for her services.

In summary, out of the teeming Nigerian youth/lawyers ( both connected and unconnected) she was among the two handpicked.

Note: She's single and her value increases by the sec.

She's from Anambra State, attended Unizik ( first class honors), and a respectable social media personality.

Lol. Abeg make I claim relationship biko; We are friends on Facebook & she even joked about laminating her Invitation letter last night.

In addition, you should include serious students from boys technical college (BTC) and graduates of engineering background in the next batch, so you won't only be copying the shoe-pattern but also the machine-pattern.
