Politics / Re: Ambode Might Face Impeachment For His Insistence To Re-contest by blimeyVic(m): 1:29am On Sep 30, 2018
Gov. Ambode should know that he is the Governor of Lagos State and not just any state in Nigeria.

By this I mean that he is governing a state with the highest concentration of literates.

All he needs now is a party that can guarantee his ticket for contesting in the forthcoming election.

What's the risk? If he stays with APC, he would lose, then why not take chances with another party and test his popularity?

The worst event in life is one not having the privilege to show up for a fight. Imagine a sitting governor losing at the primary level, that's bad enough.

If only Ambode can contest, the rest would be history. He already has the electorate's sympathy just as Donald Trump did.

This is his opportunity to overthrow Mr Tinibu and become the new grand patron of Lagos state. A patron that wouldn't support extortion cos he lived by example by not opening the state treasury to men that loot funds under the guise of master-strategists.

No one has the authority to make you an underdog except you permit them.

People come and go, but what stays is the company.

There are no sentiments in business. If you have the greater share, you say what happens.

Mind you, zuckerberg isn't working alone; other stakeholders like law enforcement agencies and some choice governments are also helping him to "keep the world safe".

So you see, it might not necessarily be about the cashflow, but, arguably, about total control and ease of data mining.

Politics / Re: Minimum Wage Strike: FG Reacts To The NLC 14-Day Ultimatum by blimeyVic(m): 6:18pm On Sep 24, 2018
INDICATIONS emerged, yesterday, in Geneva,
Switzerland, of a looming showdown between
organised labour and the Federal Government over the September deadline for the commencement of the new minimum wage.

While organised labour, as represented by Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, insisted that September deadline was sacrosanct, the Federal Government said it was not realizable.

Addressing the 107th Session of the International Labour Conference, ILC, in Geneva, President of NLC, Comrade Ayuba Wabba, said the ongoing process on the new wage must be concluded and implementation begins in September as earlier agreed.

Defending this position while speaking to
journalists at the conference, Wabba said: “I have told you that at the tripartite committee, we all committed to a timetable and timeline which is known and everybody is aware of it.

But speaking to journalists, Minister of Labour
and Employment, Senator Chris Ngige, insisted
September deadline was not possible, noting that
the Minimum Wage Tripartite Committee, working on it would only complete its work on or
September and submit to the government.

He said: “The truth of the matter is that there is a
work programme for the minimum wage
committee. And by that schedule of work, we are
supposed to terminate our own work in that
committee first week of September. After you have
done that, you will now take your recommendation to government.
“After doing that, the executive arm of government will take your recommendation to the Federal Executive Council because it concerns those in states, people in the state will now take it to National Economic Council, which is the council in charge of the economy of Nigeria.

“So these bodies will then look at the
recommendation and then forward the final
distillate to the National Assembly. It is the
National Assembly that has power to make laws.
But we can forward to them as executive bills. That is what the constitution says. So, I do not see all these taking place in September. That was why I said the date of September for a worker to receive new minimum wage is not feasible.”

The minister however, expressed optimism that if
the process was fast tracked before the end of the
year, the new wage would be implemented by 2019, adding “That is not to say if everyone puts in their best and we put it on a fast track, we cannot consummate it before the end of the year.

And when we consummate it before the end of the year, it has to be budgeted for. So, the money will go in either as supplementary budget or 2019 budget.”

Too much grammar backed by hazy logic.

When is that strike commencing please?

Everyone should take advantage of this electioneering atmosphere to meet all their lawful needs.
The money is ours.

There is no shame in being yourself.

Poverty is the only disease that restrains people from truly expressing themselves especially when it comes to making a career choice.

Over 80% of your so-called professionals chose their career based on the financial incentives attached to the role.

Besides, the lady came to earth alone and would die from earth alone, so why should she live to massage other people's ego at the expense of her own happiness and fulfilment in life?

May the best candidate emerge as the Nigerian President come 2019.

Indeed it will be a real test of character for one of the most powerful presidents in the world.

Would he gather it all into the TSA purse only to let another have it?

Would his crew members misapproporiate their campaign allocation believing that victory is assured and that APC is predestined to rule Nigeria for over 60years?

Would he allow a sweet pot of Christmas rice that is populated by chicken thighs, diced kilishi, and tears of imprisoned Fayose go missing?

Or would the divine simply intervene to hinder the counting of cows, goats, & toddlers and padding of votes in favour of the special one?

Only time would tell.

Funny Nigerians.

You have your Oil Money, you have your many churches and mosques, and finally you have been given the internet, yet you all go back to blame the white men for doing one thing or the other to harm you.

Actually, the colonial masters laid foundations in their colonies that will benefit them in the long run, but must Nigerians keep dwelling in mediocrity?

Do these Nigerians know that over 3/4 of the actual colonial masters are long dead?
Why should you people keep blaming dead white men for your woes?
If care isn't taken, with the way things are unfolding, by 2050, the younger generations would still be blaming the white men for their problems.
Which white man? Mark Zuckerberg?
Lol.

If the laid down system is wrong, fix it!!
If the education is inappropriate, revamp it!!
But if you all refuse to turn away from the various evils you are carrying out against yourselves, be sure that spirits of same dead colonial masters you are falsely accusing will forever haunt you.

Say No to bribery and corruption, organised LOOTING of public funds, dark web, poor work ethics, vote buying, god-fathers, religious and ethnic cleansing, and embrace hard-work, diligence, & functional education.

Romance / Re: Reno Omokri: "Ladies, If You Like A Guy But He Is Too Shy, Make The First Move" by blimeyVic(m): 6:52pm On Sep 18, 2018
Dear ladies, if it's just a boyfriend you want, please never ask any Nigerian guy out.

However, if and when you meet a mature husband material, don't hesitate to shoot your shot. Good men are hard to find.

..... And even though your outing isn't successful, be sure that he would neither discuss the encounter with anyone nor forget that awesome lady that was brave enough to make a bold move.

A husband material knows his worth, yet isn't proud about it.

NB: There isn't anything as being too shy, it only depends on the context.
Some guys that are dubbed as shy, might simply want to start out as friends with you, get to know you, then begin to roll out their sweet nothings.

As a test, if a lady wants a guy as a boyfriend but perceives that he is somewhat withdrawn, the best thing to do is to occupy his space. Nothing is automatic.
Go right into his secluded no go area/comfort zone. Play with him, gist with him, and observe his response. With time, you will discover the box of magical experiences, world-view, and emotions you've successfully unlocked for yourself.

" If all Nigerians are doctors, lawyers,
accountants and engineers... "

Dear OP, the problem is that these professions create room for monopoly.

For instance, only a lawyer is licensed, and backed by the constitution, to give legal advice or sign certain official documents. This practice ensures that the monies to be earned from all legal services go to those in the legal profession ( some people argue that this barrier is fraudulent and must be dismantled).

On the flip side, is it only graduates of music that are singing on stages, releasing music albums, or doing voice-overs?
No law on earth hinders anyone from producing ISSA BANGER !!!

We all know that some lawyers are lunatics while some teachers are dearly sent from heaven, but what matters most, especially to parents forcing their wards to choose those over-hyped professions, is the fact that the constitution ensures that there is monopoly of supply for them and this translates to steady stream of income.

Well OP, If you had the opportunity to choose whom to father you, won't you choose dangote?

Make Ajaokuta Steel Company functional.

Poverty can never be stopped by sharing free money.

The profit the government will generate from the company will be ploughed back to the education sector which will in turn help the poor to defeat poverty as well as boost our local economy.

Steel as a manufacturing material must be developed locally if we want to truly bridge many gaps in the manufacturing industry.

The legislature must not permit the executive to make this callous mistake.

Politics / Re: State, Community Police: Senate To Amend Constitution To Allow Its Creation by blimeyVic(m): 11:10pm On Jul 03, 2018
The senate should critically examine the risks associated with establishing these forces.

Certainly, settling for a local security force that is knowledgeable about the terrain of the surrounding and the culture of the people would be an added advantage. It would further create an opportunity for matching the number of security personnels required to the average population of people settled in the locality to be covered.

However, we should also evaluate the impact of this possible development on our country as a whole. We are a people of many differences. With the separatist movement in the south and atrocious killings in the north, we don't need drivers that would further break us apart, rather we need to focus on things that would help us stick closer - united in our awesome diversity.

Though we bow to the pressure of economic/political/what-have-you restructuring, the structure for security in Nigeria should maintained and controlled only by the FG.

The core values held by the citizenry serve as indicators that prove that we aren't yet ready for a decentralised security structure.

Yahoo Yahoo is a branch of corruption.

EFCC should not only partner FBI in fighting yahoo yahoo, they should also partner them in combating corruption, in its entirety, in Nigeria.

Teaming up with a competent external body to witch-hunt only yahoo yahoo practitioners is a criminal offence of the highest order characterised by indiscriminate discrimination .

Paragraph (b) of sub-section 14 of section 2 of the 419 & allied matters act of Nijuria stipulates that, " save in the case of extra-judicial killings, a foreign crime fighting body must wholly execute its object of engagement, in a fantastically corrupt nation, in a manner such that all arms of the state wherein corrupt practices are perceived to occur are examined".

However, the combo should encourage banks to partner with Corporate affairs commission such that B2B transactions go through a 2-factor authentication process. All CAC registered companies must have their own BVN Ie before a company receives funds, the sender must have filled a field stating the target company's particulars . In case of any disparity, the bank would wave the red flag.
