blessingnenye: Have you been ghosted by a partner? Such feelings can inflict an untold pain in any individual. It is so devastating. Your relationship was awesome, you can hardly go a day without checking up on each other. Your communication was so effective in such that the absence might signal anxiety and self imposed fear.
All of a sudden, they stopped calling you, they stopped chatting. They became so cold, distant and unavailable. Even when you try to do that, is either you are completely ignored or you get a cold and brief response. You attempt to visit, they keep giving you one and thousands excuses just to scare you away.
They just disappeared out of the blues leaving you in the cloud. You keep wondering what you did or what went wrong. No closure, no explanation or at least an opportunity to apologize in case you erred unknowingly or did something to them unintentionally. They just backed out completely leaving you pondering if the relationship is over.
A lot of folks had gone trough this phase or currently undergoing it at the moment. No matter how strong, skillful or competent you are, rejection sucks and kills one’s esteem/ ego. Being ghosted by a partner makes you assume you ain’t good enough for the one giving you such rejection. Av one more ghosting to do before settling down..its going to be painful I wish I can have both of them but they are both powerful women dem no go gree each other even though they don't need to stay in the same house I go buy their separate house. |

Travel › Re: Don't Come To The UK If You Are Guilty Of These 10 Things by Blitzking: 4:41pm On Jul 30, 2023 |
uche87: Life in the United Kingdom is far different from what most Nigerian men are used to in their home countries. The points here might appear so simple but they count in the preparedness of a man in bracing up for the challenging task ahead. They constitute the essential ingredients that put the final touches to the taste of a good soup. Come with me and let's dive into these points: (1) No creditworthiness: If you are not creditworthy, you might struggle in the UK, because the credit score is taken seriously here. You will struggle to secure loans and mortgages. Even offline, your friends and colleagues might be hesitant to assist you financially during difficult times.
(2) Cheating: In Nigeria, cheating married men are like celebrities, especially when they have financial muscle. Even when their wives know, they endure the problem. In the UK, cheating on your wife might render you homeless and even pave a visa route for her and the children through your downfall. If you are a serial cheat, it might be better for you to remain in Nigeria where you are a king without a crown.
(3) Pride: Some Nigerians are excessively proud. They never do household chores and they brag about it. It is too expensive to secure domestic workers here and the terms of engagement are too strict. You might have to keep your hands dirty at home to keep your marriage going. Some jobs also come with insults and talking instructions from underage or far younger colleagues. If you can't handle it, you might be forced to sleep rough and go hungry due to being broke.
(4) Obsession with white-collar jobs: In the UK, it is easier for you to easily get blue-collar jobs and make good money from there as an immigrant pending when you are fully integrated into the system. You might be forced to come down from your high horse to work in factories, restaurants, warehouses, care homes, and hospitals; playing menial roles. If all you know is wearing suits and ties in cozy office environments and signing documents, the UK might not be for you.
(5) Laziness: Making money in the UK is quite tough. If the money sent to Nigeria could talk, some people will not touch it. The majority of immigrants do transitional jobs of an average of 12hrs per day and 6 days a week to make ends meet. The cost of living is too high at this point. A lazy man who is used to enjoying free cash from petty crimes in Nigeria will certainly not fit in here.
(6) Can't manage loneliness: This affects single people more. Over here, people would only check up on you if they need you. Everything is highly transactional! This gets to everyone at some point. You have to manage it well before you get in bed with the nearest 'mad' person.
(7) Tolerance/Endurance: Immigrants who work in health and social care must possess this attribute. The money might be good but there is a reason why the labour turnover in this sector is very high and visa sponsorships are given for people to remain there. This is because of the unconventional nature of the jobs. If you can't tolerate or endure the smoke, you might end up begging the Tinubu victims in Nigeria for money right from the UK.
( Hate cooking: If you don't have cooking skills in the UK, you will suffer oh! You will end up eating foreign foods that you might find tasteless. You will spend a lot on patronizing Nigerian food vendors who sometimes cook burnt offerings for the gods. You will eat junk food till you become pregnant without a forthcoming baby after 9 months.
(9) Lacking good communication skills: Being able to communicate in good and simple English is very essential in the UK. It is very imperative when attending a job interview. It is the easiest way to sell yourself even when the certificate might be lacking. It shows your level of intelligence and how adaptable you can be. If you are poor in this area, your progress might be hampered in the UK.
(10) Cold: If you are the type that screams 'weather for two' anytime rain falls in Nigeria, the UK might not be for you. If you can become sexually restless under a weather condition of 25 degrees Celsius in Nigeria, imagine what you would do when it falls to 0 in the UK. And this isn't a place to be randy. It is very expensive and dangerous to do so. Read the stories of the former Manchester City defender, Benjamin Mendy or Adam Johnson and learn.
Feel free to debate the few points I have made so that we can all learn.

beautifulsoul12: Good morning everyone. I have to create this account to post this. I can't even sleep at night lately.
I'm so tired and I need help right now. I have been doing this all by myself for so long now, without much complain but now, I need help. Before I got married to my husband, I didn't know he had a seasonal mental health challenge, but not violent.
I met him in the university, he was in medicine, he had dreams, very ambitious, one of the best in his department, Working his way to travel abroad to continue his education. We were just friends, but I liked him. He kept on asking me out, but I declined. I wanted to graduate first. We parted ways in year two. He changed school, so, I knew nothing about him again till years later. Reconnected with him years later after graduation, to my greatest surprise, he didn't graduate, wasted all his resources and couldn't travel out. We still love each other, so we got married. after the birth of my first child, I wanted to leave him, but I couldn't because he was a good man, but with too many changes and I was the only one who truly care and was there for him. Three years ago, he became much better. He got a small job, Started bringing in little for upkeep. I saw change and I was happy. We had our second child last year after 8yrs. Since early this year, the whole thing came up again. Since then, he became jobless again. The financial burden is all on me. Right now, we can't afford to renew our rent. I lost my business capital some times ago in wrong business, since then, it has been so much struggles.
I'm trying hard but it's not enough. I'm thinking of working away, but to where? what about my children? Who will be there for them? What about him? But I'm tired of being in a marriage where I have to struggle for everything, where I can not depend on my man. Pls, help us renew our house rent.
What do I do? Is marriage a joke to you..I know things are not easy remember for better for worse..just that ppl these day want for better for best. Support him to recover and this too shall pass..this life na risk. |

sukkot: So I made a thread about how Nigeria is the swing vote for African nations joining BRICS and whatever Nigeria does the rest of Africa would follow and in that sense Nigeria is very deadly to the west and the end of the west starts from Nigeria if Nigeria decides to join BRICS and I also said tinubu would take us into BRICS hence why there are 3 Chinese war ships on the shores of our waters waiting to protect us when the announcement is made and this is why tinubu sent Shettima to the Russian Summit so his decision would not be obvious . Well guess what ? At the Russian summit were CIA KILLER AGENTS observing the activities of Shettima and ready to knock him off and kee him if he made the wrong moves like hobnobbing with the Russians and he knew it which is why he looked very uncomfortable. Check out the picture, I have put the arrow on the head of the CIA agents . economic hitmen So you think killing shetima would stop Nigeria from joining if we really want to join no nah na temporary post he occpy besides cia is an American institution and the kremlin won't allow an outsider in their country especially a hostile agent. |

PortHarcourt1st: It is becoming glaringly clear that Umahi borrowed and wasted billions of naira on an airport that all analysts proved wasn’t going to be viable. Today it is now clear to everyone that umahi wasted borrowed billions on ego trip project when most ebonyi people are poor, uneducated and hawking almost everywhere in Nigeria.
Poverty rate in ebonyi is over 80%. when the idea of the airport was first muted, some analysts advised that umahi should use the said funds for the project and invest heavily in human resource development and education, but he shoved it aside, today no Nigerian airline want to fly to ebonyi simply because it is a very unviable route for airlines.
What do you suggest for the present administration in ebonyi state as regards to the abandoned airport? E go turn to private airstrip for govt officials that don't want to land in enugu |
Career › Re: My Experience With A Commissioner Of Police by Blitzking: 4:02pm On Jul 27, 2023 |
ublight: I recently had a business deal go South and millions of naira went down the drain. A contractor I had brought on board for a project had absconded with money, and my partner's felt since I contracted him, I must have been aware of the move, especially as I did not file any report to the police.
I was arrested on Monday and taken to the station for questioning(actually the police head quarters in the state). The police can be so brutal when interrogating (that's a story for another day).
I was later taken to the office of the commissioner of police for the state.
You would not believe my disappointment. I was expecting to see an agile, fit athletic man that can run around, draw out his fire arm to engage in any hostile situation. (too many Hollywood movies right!)
Anyways, I saw one fat, pot bellied, more of a politician looking man. He was relaxed on his somewhat of a rocking chair.
To be honest, I was not expecting much from him (I had judged the book by the cover).
He interviewed me for less than 10 minutes, but his wisdom in those few minutes could be likened to that of King Solomon in the Bible.
What the man lacked in looks and physique, he made up for it in his head.
I then realised that maybe he climbed to that position using more of his brains to solve cases than muscles.
I was really impressed with his judgment. To cut the long story short, I was released on bail. I'm to report back at the station on Friday to see how the case will proceed.
I can tell you that in that station, only the commissioner was civil, well mannered, respectful, lawful. Infact he is the embodiment of what the police force should be.
My question is this. How can such a commissioner be heading touts, imbeciles, uneducated morons parading in uniforms? Don't we have people like the commissioner who can be at the lower ranks?
Let me end here for now. Share your own encounter with any commissioner or police officer. That's the difference between recruits and learned officers who were trained both home and abroad..I once met a retired powerful army man this man studied in the US with ppl like obj and buhari they all went to usa for a course early in their career they also fought in the civil war..this man is very learned and is doing well for himself after the war he begged his ogas he wanted to go to school and they allowed him..justice you can't compare nda and recruits |

edudaniel: By Daniel Edu
Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen is on the verge of a lucrative move to Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), with reports suggesting he could earn €50 million (approximately ₦43 billion) if the transfer materializes during this transfer window.
Napoli’s owner, Aurelio De Laurentiis, has indicated that PSG is the only club capable of meeting his high valuation for the player. Other top clubs like Real Madrid, Manchester United, and Bayern Munich have withdrawn from negotiations due to the substantial asking price set by De Laurentiis.
Previously, PSG reportedly made an offer of €120 million for Osimhen, but it was turned down by Napoli. The Italian club values the striker at €150 million, a price that no other club seems willing to meet.
De Laurentiis commented on the situation, saying, “The only club that could afford Victor Osimhen is Paris Saint-Germain. If (PSG president) Nasser Al Khelaifi wants to send in a bid around €200 million, we wait and see what happens. I personally think that Victor will stay here.”
Sky Sports also reported that PSG has struck a €300 million deal with Al-Hilal for Kylian Mbappe, though the Frenchman has not yet agreed to play in Saudi Arabia. Should Mbappe leave PSG, Osimhen is seen as the ideal replacement for the World Cup winner.
According to elfutbolero.us, if Napoli manages to sign the 24-year-old striker, he could potentially receive a salary of €50 million to become the star player of the team. However, Osimhen is reportedly not keen on a move to Ligue 1.
Osimhen’s impressive performances last season, where he scored 26 goals and provided five assists in 32 league appearances, played a crucial role in Napoli winning the Serie A title for the first time in over three decades. He also became the first African player to win the prestigious Capocannoniere award, given to the top scorer in Serie A. Tot the club was aiming for 200mil |
