Doomsday appearance in the DCEU was as premature as his appearance in the movie. DC has other terrestrial villains/ entities that can appear that early and BvS would have been much better without the death of Superman

thats the problem with DC. Their characters are too well known that you can't afford to change or give them a twist without creating controversy. Marvel has that luxury and can get away with it. DC on the other hand can't. Look at superman for example, then batman, then flash, then WW. Heck even Stephen Amell had that problem with Green Arrow. Had DC characters n0t garnered the fame they had, certain things in the dceu would've been overlooked starting from MOS when supes killed zod, and BvS when batman killed. Because of this, people are too critical of the films and less c0ncerned of the message and themes they carry.

I agree with you but DC can twist their characters. Look how successful Nolan was with TDKR. He created a Batman that carries the fundamental principles that made Batman but changed every other thing and look at the impact it had. It still remains the only superhero flick to get an academy nomination and win it. Heath Ledger's portrayal of the Joker was breath taking but it was nothing like the Joker in the comics yet it worked. A joker who wore make up and a batman who was grounded. DC had the perfect start to their universe with MOS, the controversy was good, it was used properly in BvS about how the people embraced supes but DC 's biggest mistake was trying to copy Marvel. Everything in BvS was good up until doomsday (I can't even call that abomination of a cgi creation my beloved doomsday) and killing superman not because it was necessary in the plot for him to die but because they wanted to give critics a superman they wanted. That's were they got it wrong

But Seriously DC need a complete rethink, back to the drawing board and scrap that DCEU nonsense. Look at what Marvel did with Black Panther, it's become a global sensation and people don't see it as a Superhero movie alone but representing a set of people, that's how you make a movie. Truth is I only knew Iron Man after the release of the first movie and had to dig out materials to read about the character after but look how successful it has become. DC had characters I knew since I was a kid and by far the most popular heroes and villains but it seem they don't know what to do with them

He's the perfect guy for the role. I even feel Henry Cavill was cast wrong. He's an okay actor but he lacks the natural charisma for Superman. We complained in mos and BvS that he was too sad and dark but even when he was resurrected his smiling and trying to be a symbol made him look silly to me. DC are really mad. Henry Cavill would kill it as Green Lantern Hal Jordan.

His Aquaman character is a talkative courtesy of Whedon. Infact, all Justice League members became talkatives because of Whedon reshoots. I'm surprised they made even Batman a talkative and a sissy which is out of character.

Batman's own was the most annoying. The Batman I know barely talks, infact he's seen as a freak and even the JL members keep him at bay, only Flash have been able to make Batman smile or make a joke (he's sarcastic). This is a guy that at one time Savage got hold of how to take down the entire JL members and he did, only Batman could stop him. In several story line the villains were only able to bring down the JL after eliminating Batman or taking him out. They turned Batman to the Iron Man, the world's greatest detective o! I'm ashamed of DC. The only thing he did was giving an idea that they could resurrect superman and it was so poorly done they almost made him a mad scientist. Yes he felt guilty of Superman's death but the Batman I know will carry out his plans without telling a soul

On the contrary Aquaman is one of DC's primary characters. Jason Mamoa's Aquaman wasn't the Aquaman I know. If he had been a Khal Drogo kind of character it would have made sense. Aquaman is a warrior, a king, a brute and he's mean and blunt. Jason Mamoa should have been better as Lobo (I've said it before) than Aquaman because his Aquaman talks too much. Watch the Justice League series 2002-2004, Justice Leage: War, Flashpoint Paradox, Aquaman and any other DC animation Aquaman appears in. I would have preferred the guy that plays Tarzan and that vampire in True Blood as Aquaman. He has that snub in him that Aquaman has, Jason is a pain in the arse, Lobo.

WB only added two scenes to the Bluray, I think. Most of the other scenes are leaked and WB has refused to incorporate them into the Bluray edition. I guess WB is too ashamed to give us the Snyder cut which is more coherent and complete. Maybe sometime in the future they will release this cut. But their silly mistakes have cost them a lot of fans from their fanbase. This year, I don't see aquaman doing well at the box office because its release date (in December) is a crowded period in the box office. I remember warning you guys about Geoff Johns last year, at least, we have now seen the consequences of his appointment. At least, if he, Geoff, had followed through with the Flash directorial search, we'd be having Flash and Aquaman this year. But all that doesn't matter again, JL has screwed up everything!

Aquaman will flop not because of a crowded December but because no one trusts anything coming out of DC again

Minemrys, TonySpike I just saw another deleted scene. While Cyborg was seperating the motherbox he saw Steepenwolf's plan. Batman's vision from BvS, earth destroyed and the big new god himself, Darkseid, he saw Darkseid before Steppenwolf stopped him and revealed more what will become of earth. That scene would have left people pumped for future DC films screw DC board. I'm jumping ship to Marvel. Nothing good will come out of that damned universe

If Affleck leaves without them probably killing off the character (which would be silly anyways) it would be the end of DC, they might not recover from it. The only route possible will be to follow the X-Men route. You see X-Men last stand was panned by critics and didn't meet expectations, followed by the forgettable Wolverine movie but you gotta admire Fox resilience, they went back to the past, X-Men: Days of The Future Past, and it was brilliant, then they further explored the past and even made a trilogy on the past and created a loophole that needed to be fixed in the past. If that ain't creative genius I don't know what is. DC can make that. They have enough comic work to pick from. They could use Flashpoint or Darkseid( he once went back in time and killed Batman after discovering he was the brain behind the JL). DC have leapfrogged over 20 years of Batman's crime fighting career. If Affleck wants to leave they can either explore Batman's early crime fighting days by creating a loophole in time through events of Flashpoint or bring the Past and Future together (Batman Beyond) or better still put their shit together and make a great Batman film because that's what Affleck wants and a little flexibility on his work schedule because the reshoots ain't helping and he has a life to live beyond the cowl and Cape. They can't kill or let Affleck leave, he's been the only good thing in that damned universe

There was no way MOS would have made a billion. I did an analysis of the Superman franchise some several pages ago. That franchise had literarily died when Snyder, Goyer and Nolan reinvigorated it. Heck, Superman Returns (2006) which was a Reeve interpretation of the character bombed very hard at the box office barely making back its budget. I will say it loud again that if the Reeve interpretation is brought back again, it will bomb hard. What I do find hilarious are the set of audience implying that Superman is too dark and moody, where were they when the campy and "right" interpretation of superman in Superman Returns was released? In all of these, I think the internet has not been fair to the DCEU. Critics and audience alike always latched on the DCEU negatively most of the time. It was as if someone was skewing the PR to paint DCEU very bad, and of course, that's why Disney has been the major suspect. Imagine Star Wars TLJ with a 93% critic approval earned about 52% audience approval. Were the critics pretending not to see those loopholes or decided to ignore them because it's Disney? I read that David Ayer's new movie, Bright, with Netflix was rated 30% on rotten tomatoes and yeah mostly because of his previous work on Suicide Squad. Bright currently has audience rating of over 89% on the same rotten tomatoes. Is there a vendetta within the critics community? Yeah, something is not right...

I like the dark and more real Superman to the campy Superman. MOS had the perfect foundation for DC universe. They made the biggest mistake, listening to critics

I agree with s0me of what u said. I liked suicide squad and JL but lets be h0nest, they felt generic and could've been better. But then the studio, WB only cares about the financial returns; box office, dvd sale, toys and merchandising, than actual creativity. This, they'll do anything and go any length to achieve: m0ney, and thus sacrificing the 'art' in artistic. The Dceu problem began with MOS not making a billi0n for WB after The Dark Knight Rises. C0me 0n, WB thought it would. With the name Nolan, Goyer and the dark and grounded t0ne, they thought M0S would make a billion dollar. Had it been it did, we wouldn't have had JL now but BvS without the DOJ. Had M0S made a billi0n, WB would've let Snyder do a M0S sequel with Crowe returning as Jor el then Ben Affleck in the end credits. Suicide Squad would've followed but with a dark and grounded t0ne, then BvS without the DOJ. Wonder woman would've happened followed by Aquaman [snyder loves that character and James Wan was already on board since 2013], the flash movie would've happened, Green lantern corps then Cyborg, then finally JL. That was if WB had let Snyder use his creative vision. I laugh when i hear people blaming Snyder. The things that affected the Dceu are 1. WB 2. The financial returns of M0S 3. The critical destruction of BvS which ir0nically was as a result of Wb meddling. 4. The knee jerk reaction WB had for M0s underperforming based on their own view and the mixed reception. And, i don't think M0S was entirely Snyder's work. He had little c0ntrol of it if am to be right.

They want Marvel success overnight without properly using the drawing board. Marvel had an Avengers movie planned from the 80s because they too were trying to beat DC who had successfully made Tim Burton's Batman and Christopher Reeve's Superman of the 80s and 70s respectively. Marvel had their mistakes, The Hulk movie of 2003/2004 was a disaster. Then Batman Begins came in 2005 along with Tobey Maquire's Spiderman and Fox's X-Men franchise showed superhero movies could work. Marvel just borrowed the positives from them and made Iron Man which was a test run and was successful. They used Batman's origin and self discovery, Spiderman's fight scenes and superhero persona and X-Men's flamboyance and made Iron Man, then The Incredible Hulk was made with all its hype then Thor which even had mixed reviews, Captain America had mixed reviews too but Marvel kept to the script and when Avengers was made people finally understood their game, creating a universe. Thanos has appeared in almost all the post-credit scene of all Marvel movies and surprisingly it has built the character before he appears on the big screen. DC chickened out . MOS was the perfect foundation for DC universe. It had realism, a great origin story, Lexcorp and Wayne was teased, Mars and Cyborg was teased, the possibility of other beings and multiple universe, a hero who understood the burden of being good but they threw it away for money. Forget BvS, MOS 2 should have followed and cyborg, batman, aquaman, krypton movie (doomsday), green Lantern movies should have been made before JL. Most importantly it was too early for a death of Superman story

So, I eventually watched Justice League and I'm here to give my take on the movie. I believe the movie suffered from bad PR right from its announcement and then through directorial changes, and finally studio interference. The narrative of this theatrical version leaves much to be desired; it seems like a product with its quality between a series episode and my desired movie. It did not seem like I was watching a movie but I also did not feel like I was watching a serie episode.

In my opinion, the first two scenes (shot by Whedon) before the opening credits were unnecessary and irrelevant. The music accompanying the opening credit was dumb. I had expected the ancient war to be the base motivation for this movie where Darkseid, stepphenwolf and motherboxes would be fully explained. Instead, we got this war as a mere narration by wonder woman! This scene should have been the center piece of the movie right from the beginning.

I expected more narratives on the mythology of Atlantis and Themiscyra but I got none. Apparently, this was cut off by Whedon and WB. Batman was downgraded from his awesomeness in BVS while Superman was unnecessarily overpowered. There was no logic as to how Superman suddenly knew that he had freeze breath. This is apparently due to the reshoots undetaken by WB and Whedon. There were no suspenses or dark moments in the entire movie except for the Stepphenwolf Themiscyra scene which was obviously shot by Snyder. That scene made my heart miss a beat, very beautiful scene. The scene from the superman resurrection at Metropolis was not engaging, it lacked enough science. The third act was a disaster! It didn't feel like the movie was fought on earth or like there were any stakes during the fight.

The movie reshoots destroyed an already cohesive story written by Chris Terrio and ruined the previous events from BVS, MOS and Wonder Woman. No wonder Snyder decided not to look at his butchered movie before premiere. It was right he stepped aside in May 2017. Yes, I have Geoff John to blame for all of this especially for giving these silly ideas for making and Batman and Superman "right". The movie is actually a Frankenstein. The worst DC movie in my opinion only seconded by Suicide Squad! WB should stay away from interfering with DC movies, they ruined everything.

Summary: The movie lacked the epicness and awesomeness of MOS, BVS and Wonder Woman.
Verdict: A step in the reverse direction!
Final Grade: 6/10

Honestly, I can't trust whatever movie WB is releasing from the DCEU. They can no longer be trusted. The fact that WB creative team did not see any fault with Justice League until Snyder's first cut shows that they are knee-jerked and irrational.

When I discovered the scenes that were cut it just made me loose interest in DC movies. My only problem with BvS is that batman v superman fight was slow and rushed but Znyder uses imagery to convey his message and looking back that's what he did with 300 and Watchmen. These movies became masterpiece after the reviews were over

That movie will be a disaster. I just pity Jason Mamoa's career after the movie. I also think Mamoa should have played Lobo in the DC universe ratther than Aquaman. I loved the movie when it came out but after seeing the scenes that were cut I have to agree that DC is gone, dead and buried
