LaudableXX: What is the population of women in Nigeria that you have met, that led you to make such sweeping illogical conclusions? Guy, you do not know what you are saying. I have worked with UN-funded programmes for a variety of agencies, and I can tell you that Nigerian women are some of the most hard-working people, you can ever see. Women are said to make up about 49.34 % of the current 180 million population of Nigeria in 2016, according to the World Bank. So which dirty research or study did you conduct, to discover that the lazy ones are more than the hardworking ones? When, where and how did you arrive at this infantile conclusion?
Those you claim have shops set up for them by men or sugar daddies are very much in the minority in the urban centres. How many men, are barely coping and managing to put body and soul together, that they would splurge out cash to set up shops, for all the women they know? The average Naija man would most likely date 6 or 7 women over a period of 5 years or more, so how many shops is he going to open for each one?
Most women I know, took small loans from their cooperative societies, or women's associations to set up their shops, while others saved their little funds over a period of time from their trading activities, in order to be able to rent a shop. So stop feeling embittered and envious of their successes.
Even the uneducated ones in the villages go to the farms to cultivate agricultural products, and also trade in open markets to sell various commodities. Please stop using your miniscule schoolboy experience to judge majority of hardworking Naija women who struggle to put food on their tables, each day.
Maybe you come from a community where women laze away, doing nothing. It is not the same thing, in the remaining 774 local government areas, in Nigeria. You need to step out a bit more, and educate yourself. I didn't say women are not hardworking. Maybe you need to read through again before jumping into conclusions. Thanks |

LaudableXX: Only God knows the circles in which you move. An average Naija girl doesn't want to work??! So all those ones we see running their own shops, catering outfits, working in banks, insurance companies, pharmacies, hospitals, teaching in schools, sewing new clothes or designs for their clients etc....are what? Ghosts? Or aliens? Yes they do and it has nothing to do with circles. The girls you see running around G-boys, the ones you see jumping from one guy to the other and taxing them for bills, the one we see who after marriage sits at home and expects the husband to pay their bills. Maybe the word average was not proper but a large number of women today do not want to work. And by the way over 60 percent of the shops these women run are paid by their husbands, boyfriends, sugar daddies, runs or they just sell provisions and sit idle in the shop gisting. I'm not generalizing, but that's what we see daily. I have sisters and a mother who do not depend on a man and their husbands for their livelihood. So it's not about hearsay or circles, they are still hardworking women but the lazy ones are more than the strong ones |

alignacademy: Thanks for the feedback
It's not clear whether you read through my first post or what you are actually proposing.
I posted that after watching a TV programme showing facilities in some foreign countries where they keep young people from no families.
These young people didn't bring themselves into the world.
They were born by people who felt they had a right to please themselves without considering the consequences of their actions.
By the way, most of the young people I saw on the TV programme were violent and some even suicidal. And it follows: they had no family to learn love and care from, so they naturally HATE themselves and society at large.
As I noted in the first post, personal responsibility and self discipline are key. We will build a better society when we weigh our actions and the impact they could have on other people.
That's one of the good things about platforms like this. We can have fruitful conversations and learn more on how to make better choices.
Thanks again Like KanwuliaExtra said, the best thing to do is to start a NGO to create awareness and educate teens on the harm from a non religious perspective . if you are really serious about this NGO then I'm in too. Never underestimate the power of a ripple effect. We can put our ideas together, except KanwuliaExtra though, she has bills to pay |

Spiritual ignorance is a big no no when deciding on my future spouse. Few actions show me how spiritually ignorant you are when you go and permanently stamp yourself with a symbol or sygil you don't really know anything about (past what "someone" tells you). I have seen some tattoos that I don't know what they mean, but my spirit inside me just feels appaled at the meaning behind it for some reason, even when my brain doesn't actually know what it means. Also my grandma had tattoos and she raised my mom right, she's one of the sound spiritual person I know and my mom raised me right. It's the individual purpose in life not the ink |

2buffagain: 2) What do you tell your daughter?
Before deciding on who to marry, it is important to look ahead. Marriage is not just about you and her. It's about your children as well.
I have a certain way I intend to raise my children. Say now you decide to take things serious with your tattoo'd gf and you guys get married and are blessed with children...when those wild teenage years come, how do you tell your daughter not to get a tattoo? Children don't listen. They observe. If mom has inked her skin, you as parents have lost all right to tell your children not to.
Your daughter will come back home one day and TELL you that she will be getting a tattoo of her current boyfriend's name on her lower back and you will have to shut up and look, because there is not a damn thing you can morally do about it. You've lost that high ground. I agree with you but what about the people whose culture request tattoos. Take Dwayne Johnson as an example, he's from Hawaii and his culture there's an age or position one attains in the society and has a tattoo traditionally inked on him or her. I wouldn't mind a Hawaiian girl with tattoos because it's their culture but a Nigerian girl with tattoos, I understand your reasons for that. |

Even the U.S you gave example with has recorded more violence and indiscriminate shootings than Mexico over the years yet nobody in his right frame of mind will tag the nation as being insane. How many times have Mexico been on the news for the wrong reasons when compared to Nigeria?
You are trying to be patriotic, i understand but sentiments aside, we all know that Nigeria is a sorry excuse of what a nation should look like. How many times have our security operatives been brought to book despite all the atrocities they have committed and are still committing? What is happening in Mexico can never happen here, we are too backward. Truth must be said no matter how difficult it is. Let me stop here, i have got headache Sorry for the headache I agree with you and I did not say they were insane. Frankly no nation on earth is sane or insane and Nigeria is not a yardstick for how a country should be, it should be a yardstick for what a nation should avoid. The government at least made an attempt but here in Nigeria we don't. People are killed daily in the US and Mexico but what you don't see is people or dead bodies lying in the streets like the gory sight in Plateau State. I agree with you we are backward,it hurt to admit but the truth is always hard to swallow |

Personally for me, i think Donald Duke is building castles in the air.
I don't see him getting block votes from the North. I doubt if he has any stronghold there.
Be it as it may, I believe Atiku is currently the only candidate strong enough to challenge the terrorist president for votes in the North.
I am not supporting anybody yet but believe me Atiku is our best bet in sending the terrorist president packing.
They are both evil but between both of them, we have to choose the lesser evil "Atiku" for the benefit of all. For me between Duke and Atiku I'll prefer Donald Duke. Atiku? Bro please no. goldcoinhub: The Nigeria vs Argentina encounter at the Russia 2018 World Cup, which is set to hold later this evening, will not be the first time that the two teams are meeting at any International competition.
This is the eight meeting between Nigeria and Argentina, and the South Americans had won in all four competitive games, drew one and lost in two international friendlies.
Their first encounter at USA ’94 ended 2-1 in favour of the White and Sky Blues South Americans, while they played 0-0 at the Confederations Cup in Saudi Arabia in 1995.
At Korea/Japan 2002 World Cup, the Super Eagles went down 0-1, while their encounter at the 2010 World Cup in South Africa also went the way of the Argentines with 1-0 victory.
Eagles first victory over La Albiceleste came in 2011 in Abuja during an international friendly game, which ended 4-1. But the Argentines responded quickly with a 3-1 win in another international friendly duel at Dhaka Bangladesh.
During the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, Argentina won 3-2 in their last group game, but Nigeria won the last international friendly match 4-2 against them.
However, there is tension in the Nigerian camp ahead of today’s battle at St. Petersburg and the coach Gernot Rohr has charged his players to give all their best at the game.

1. I steam meat and set aside. 2. Pour my ground egusi into a bowl. Add a little water and form the egusi into a paste. 3. Add little oil into a cooking pot, allow the oil to get warm a bit. 4. Pour the earlier prepared paste into the oil and fry. 5. Keep turning the egusi in the oil until a proper mixture is formed. 6. Pour the water from the meat and allow the whole mixture to boil for some minutes. 7. Add pepper, Maggi cube, salt, etc and allow to boil yet again. 8. Lastly. Pour in your vegetables and stir.
9. Allow the vegetables to simmer.
10. Enjoy your tastefully prepared egusi soup. I prefer putting my Maggi cube and salt last. Egusi can be prepared in any method, the easiest soup to learn. |

Celebrities › Markle Break Protocol At The Royal Ascot By Not Wearing Her Name Pin by Blonchilli(op): 1:01pm On Jun 20, 2018 |
Meghan Markle just attended her first ever Royal Ascot Tuesday as a member of the British royal family, but did she already make a faux pas? The annual five-day horse-racing event requires quite the strict dress code, including asking all ladies to cover their shoulders and wear hats and name tags. But on day one of the event, the Duchess of Sussex noticeably did not wear her pin, choosing to hold it in her hand instead. Prince Harry, who was by her side for most of the occasion, wore his purple-and-white pin on his lapel. At Ascot everyone is given a badge, mainly to get them through security," royal expert Duncan Larcombe tells BAZAAR.com. According to Town and Country, all royals, including Prince William and Kate Middleton, are expected to wear them, and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge followed tradition and wore theirs last year. However, Markle was not the only attendee this year to pass on wearing the moniker accessory. Marlene Koenig, a royal historian and writer of the Royal Musings blog, tells BAZAAR.com that Duchess Camilla, Princess Anne, Princess Beatrice, and Princess Eugenie were also not wearing their pins at the 2018 Royal Ascot, and their choice is not going against royal protocol. "Wearing pins has nothing to do with protocol," Koenig says. "Protocol is for official, diplomatic, state events, [including] where you sit, when you enter, etc." "Perhaps [Meghan] did not want to ruin that nice Givenchy dress with a pin hole," Koenig adds. The Duchess of Sussex wore a stunning off-white Givenchy dress with a black-and-white hat to match for a flawless monochromatic look. The French designer is clearly one of Markle's favorites. She wore a Givenchy gown for the royal wedding and yet another Givenchy dress for her first solo engagement with the Queen last week. No name tags ruined those outfits, either.
