Politics › Trump Lessons For Deluded Buhari by blueAgent(op): 8:00pm On Nov 18, 2016
Barely Two weeks after winning the US Elections ,President Elect Donald Trump has started work forming his cabinet. He is preparing to hit the ground running and deliver on his mandate. contrast this with our deluded president Buhari and his APC cohorts who took six months to release names of ministers, which many believed will have People of intergrity, only for him to release list of same Wolves in Sheep clothing.

This is a lesson to the Deillusioned president and other Nigeria politicians on how politics and leadership is done.

Once more congrats to the American people.

Most black people in America are in poverty, the middle class is slipping into poverty, and yes there are black millionaires, but compare that to the number of white billionaires. In 200 years, let's say money has inflated to the point where there are many white trillionaires, but only a few black trillionaires and mostly 10-11 digit billionaires. It's the RATIO that shows you how the power dynamic still exists. Yes they are marginalized, because the moment many of them try to help their people thy usually are plotted on to be taken down. A black american celebrity has a better chance of building a successful school for black children in Africa before he/she can in the United States.

Haiti is still paying reparations to France for defeating them. Look up Bill Clinton's policies towards Haiti. I'm not sure about Liberia. But I do know that Liberia was established by America, so the basis of it was white supremacy. Hasn't the whole issue in Liberia been conflict between the Blacks that went back vs. the native Africans? Educate me on it, because I don't know all of the history. But I do know, that America has a history of intervening in Liberia when it came to conflict with native Africans indigenous to the land.

On the surface it looks like black people are doing well, but let me put it this way-- In 1865, Black Americans owned 0.50% of America. But 150 years later, how much do Black people own? Still 0.50% of America. It isn't because black people haven't tried to make progress. After the Civil War black people had 100 years of Jim Crow laws while white people had a 400 year head start to get themselves established. At the same time, in 1865 the slaves were valued at a 5th of America's wealth. Now imagine if black people owned 20% of America rather than 0.50%.

Slavery in America wasn't just indentured servitude, it was chattel slavery where black people were treated like animals. In many cases, blacks were treated worse than white people treat their pets. There are cases where black babies were fed to alligators. Have you ever seen Goodbye Uncle Tom? It's one of the most accurate depictions of slavery in America.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IHEu-FE7Cpw

My point is that the whole experience of Black people in in America is coming out of being reduced to an animal and slowly through great strides black people have somewhat rebounded, but it's on very shaky ground. The illusion of black millionaires and even a Black president doesn't change the fact that the power relationship hasn't changed. It's just more covert now than overt. Where are most Black millionaires getting their money from? White people. And with that, they are limited in how much they can say and do unless they want to go back to being poor. Black Americans are 13% of the population yet, 40% of the prison population. It isn't because black people commit more crimes than white people. That's been proven.

Yes, black people globally need to get our shit together, but by no means is this completely our fault. Regardless of the past, I think we must be in the mentality of solving our own issues and creating our own global economy.
The question is can blacks compete with Whites? the answer in affirmative is No.

Haiti had the capacity to build a great nation despite the Debt. but no they didn't by starting on a wrong footing. the first president decleared himself emperor for live ,no rule of law and order setting a bad precedent.
What about Liberia with all their mineral wealth nothing to show same issue of blackman's greed and selfishness.

The disparity you see between White and blacks are as a result of the difference b/w IQ between the races.
You will agree with me that Whites are pace setters no even Asians can compare to them in terms of contribution to present civilization.

Blacks need to face reality and stop this comparism ,rather humble ourselves and learn and utilize our resources for our good.

Nigeria has the 7th largest gas reserve in the world but cannot boost of up to 10% electricity capacity for its citizens. this is not becos of the whites as you will want to presume. all over Black Africa they have one thing in common poverty, corruption, ingnorance. even blacks in US are not left out they have showed same attitude and setrotype.

Yes, considering all the historical evidence I believe whites are the reason blacks are unsuccessful. And I think we add onto it by falling for game they play on us. The triangle slave trade was where Europeans came to Africa for slaves, took them to America to cultivate sugar cane, shipped the sugar cane to Europe to be made into rum, and finally took the rum to Africa to trade it for more slaves to take to America to pick sugar cane, to take to Europe...you get my point. They ran a hustle and it seems the Africans didn't know that they were giving away their greatest resource in the equation, the people.

However, once the Black Americans were captured, the struggle has been to escape their control. And like I said, they burn midnight oil making sure their keep us in check.
Slavery has existed in Africa for hundred of years before the whiteman came to Africa.
Their are millions of middleclass and millioniare African Americans are they also marginalized?
What has stopped Liberia and Haiti from been Successfull since they are all black nations with no white to discriminate them?
Liberia had independence in 1847, while Haiti had theirs in 1804.

Foreign Affairs › West Virginia Official Fired For Calling Michelle Obama An 'ape In Heels' by blueAgent(op): 10:22am On Nov 16, 2016
Officials in Clay, a small town in West Virginia, have come under fire for a racist comment against First Lady Michelle Obama, in which they likened her to an "ape in heels". Pamela Ramsey Taylor, the former director of the government funded non-profit organisation Clay County Development Corp, posted a message on Facebook praising Melania Trump, the wife of president-elect, while insulting Obama.
"It will be so refreshing to have a classy,
beautiful, dignified First Lady back in the White
House. I'm tired of seeing a Ape in heels," Taylor wrote on Facebook.

Beverly Whaling the mayor of the town responded to the statement with a comment saying, "Just made my day, Pam."
The comments were deleted soon after but had
already been shared around and Sheriff Garrett
Samples said that the two women have been
receiving threats ever since. Taylor was fired from her position and Mayor Whaling is facing severe criticism for her support of the racist statement.

At the time of the writing, an online petition
calling for the women's termination had garnered
more than 82,000 signatures.
"Pamela Ramsey Taylor, I found your comment to
be disrespectful to the Flotus, therefore
disrespectful to the USA. Just because you don't like her husband's policies does not make it acceptable to troll Mrs Obama. You very easily could have complimented Mrs Trump, and left the current First Lady out of it," Janet F from New York commented on the petition page.
Soon after the media storm hit, Whaling
apologised for her response to the post and
attempted to clarify that what she wrote was not targeted at Obama.

"I was referring to my day being made for change in the White House! I am truly sorry for any hard feeling this may have caused! Those who know me know that I'm not of any way racist! Again, I would like to apologize for this getting out of hand," she told the Washington Post.
However, she later told WSAZ radio station that
the public response had become a "hate crime
against me", and that she plans to file lawsuits
against those who have slandered her.
National Association for the Advancement of
Colored People (NAACP) state director Owens
Brown criticised the two women's posts and said that "there's no place for these types of attitudes in our state. Unfortunately this is a reality that we are dealing with today."
According to ABC News, around 77% of Clay
voted for Trump in the recent elections and every county in West Virginia also swayed in favour of the Republican candidate.

Well, I didn't vote for Trump or Clinton, because they're two sides of the same coin. That's the illusion. The lowest common denominator is white supremacy. Trump was chosen by the elite, not by the people. The electoral college picked Trump, not the people because Hillary won the popular vote. Can you name one person on the electoral college? I bet you don't even know who they are. It won't matter who gets into office, the same elitist, corporate agenda will apply- dominating non-whites of the planet. Obama? Same story with a twist...a soft, gentle black face on what was realistically the same policies as George W. Bush. And have you seen the people Trump is assembling for his cabinet?

I agree many people don't know who the enemy is, but many are starting waking up, which is why Trump was put in place to paint the illusion that here was a champion for the people that's a Washington outsider. But Trump is as much a part of the elite circle as the rest. Trust me.

How can someone define racism when they have not experienced it? Chimamanda Adichie is right. A white person who does not get to experience racism cannot define it. Besides, black people don't have the power to deny whites jobs in America or oppress them so even if a black person hates a white person, they don't have the political power to oppress whites as whites have the political power to oppress blacks.

Whites single handedly came up with institutionalized racism in the West that still affects blacks today. Whose idea was it to segregate people based on skin color? whites. Whose idea was it to deny blacks the right to sit wherever they want in the bus? whites. Who was lynched back in the day in USA? blacks. Who was used for experiment in Tuskegee? Blacks. So that being said, Nigerians who never grew up in predominately white countries are not in a position to sit there and judge because most Nigerians don't understand how racism works the same way a black American will not understand how tribalism works.
Are U that Naive.go and read about Haiti after the revolution how they passed laws that banned whites from been citizens or owning lands.

New here, I'm a Black American and signed up on this forum because I wish to dialog with Black Africans about the global condition of black people. I'm here out of respect. I wish to share my views and also learn from yours.

Black people can be bigoted/prejudiced, meaning not liking someone or mistreating someone based on color. Here in America however, many Black Americans view racism as something different. Racism is not only being bigoted/prejudiced, but also having the power to put massive action behind that bigotry/prejudice.

What are the ways that white racism can adversely affect the lives of black people? In the 9 main areas, which include Economics, Education, Entertainment, Labor, Law, Politics, Religion, Sex, & War, white people dominate Blacks/Non-Whites globally.

On the flipside, what are the ways that blacks adversely affect the lives of white people in those areas?....

It's a power dynamic, in which black people, regardless of country/tribe/state, currently have no ability to dominate whites like they do us.

Someone also mentioned the success of Black celebrities in America as if that equalizes Blacks to whites. However, still, the power dynamic is 99% of the time always in place. Sure Snoop Dogg is worth 113 million dollars, but his boss David Geffen is worth 6.7 billion. There is history as to why Blacks haven't been able to equalize themselves with whites in America such as Black Wall Street, Rosewood, Knoxville and many other communities where blacks created thriving businesses and economies that were destroyed, literally bombed by whites. The movement for equal rights in the 60's led to blacks becoming MORE dependent on whites rather than building their own. And this was done through covert AND overt practices.

So you believe whites are the reason why blacks are unsuccessfull?

Why are their no first class black nations? even in black countries without whites.

ISN’T CHIMAMANDA ADICHIE RACIST?
Abdulrazaq O Hamzat

Since the emergence of MR D.J Trump as US president elect, issue of racism has became a burning topic. The real or perceived racist rhetoric’s of Mr Trump, during the campaign period has led to fear, election violence and wide spread protest against his emergence as the US president.

Few days, after Mr Trump emerged winner of US presidential election, Nigerian writer, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie was invited to a BBC discussion and something strange was said.

Those close to me can testify that I admire Chimamanda Adichie so much for her vocal personality. Not only do I often find time to watch interviews and events she is featured, I also do read most of her articles. Despite the fact that I am not a fan of novels, because of Adichie, I became one.

Although, while I sometimes find myself disagreeing with her views on issues, that didn’t in anyway, take away the love and admiration I have for her as person. Probably, this opinion of mine is another way of disagreeing with her.

Here is the issue.

Today, while surfing the Internet, I came across a story on nairaland front page with the caption, ‘’Chimamanda Adichie on Trump, Racism and the KKK’’ https://www.nairaland.com/3464690/chimamanda-adichie-trump-racism-kkk#51026721. The story was a video of her discussion on BBC Newsnight, about the outcome of the US election with Editor –in-Chief of a conservative magazine, American Spectator, Emmett Tyrrell.

As usual, I open the story and read through. However, not only did I read through the story, I equally watched the video to be sure some transcript or words, ascribed to Adichie was actually hers. As I watch the very heated and engaging discussion, in which Adichie sat down with style, emitting character and confidence, making me admire her even more. I can’t but shake my head in disbelief, when she expressed some views I consider very offensive to justify her stance on D.J Trump’s racists rhetoric’s during the just concluded US presidential election.

During the discussion, BBC reporter, Emily Maitlis explained that, some Republican members, such as Paul Ryan and others have acknowledged the fact that, US President elect, Mr D.J Trump used some racist language while running his campaign. However, Mr Emmett disagreed . According to him, ‘’that’s not true, he, (referring to Mr Trump) hasn’t been racist he said. He went on to ask what racist comment D.J Trump made during the campaign and Adichie responded by citing the comment made against a judge handling Mr Trump’s case, in which the then Republican nominee said, ‘’a judge, a united states judge is unable to judge him fairly because he his Mexican. That is racist, said Adichie.
Sincerely speaking, Mr Emmett is being economical with the truth. Every objective follower of US presidential campaign wouldn’t deny the numerous racist comments made by Mr Trump. Yet Mr Emmett did, which is what most political pundits often do to defend their favored politician.

As i was pointing out the bias and sentimental position of Mr Emmett to the person watching the video with me, Adichie didn’t allow me; instead, she fired a disgusting missile about racism to justify her stands. I mean, she made a very offensive remark, similar to what she said made Trump racist.

Hear her:
‘’If you are a white man, you don’t get to define what racism is. I am sorry, you really don’t’’. Adichie said.

Firstly, there is something fundamentally wrong with Adichie’s statement. In fact, everything is wrong with it.

Here is why.

According to Adichie, Mr D.J Trump is racist, because he said a judge won’t judge him fairly because he his Mexican. Then, Adichie went on to say, ‘’If you are a white man, you don’t get to define what racism is.’’ Meaning, you can’t discuss racism fairly simply because you are white.

If D. J Trump is a racist based on what he said about the Mexican judge, I am afraid, isn’t Adichie also guilty of the same offense for what she said about white people ?
Mr Emmett responded appropriately by saying, ‘’ Do you know the false consciousness, which is the theory you are talking about in concept. I mean, you are saying, I cannot even open my mouth here because I am a white man?’’. The stunned white man felt very hurt and confused.
But that’s exactly what Adichie is saying. That a white man can’t talk racism fairly or get to define racism appropriately because he his white. This in itself, is a racist comment I believe.

Instructively, when US president elect, D.J Trump made those racist remarks about the US Mexican judge, thousands, if not millions of white men and women in America condemned him for racism. So did thousands, if not millions of colored people, including African Americans.

Similarly, other thousands, if not millions of white men and women defended Trump against the same accusation, and so did colored people, including African Americans.

Paul Ryan, quoted by BBC reporter Emiley, as acknowledging Trump to have used racist language is also a white man. It is therefore unreasonable, and highly condemnable for Adichie to look down on Mr Emmett, by claiming he cannot define racism fairly simply because of his color or race.

By extension, the racist statement made by Adichie isn’t just about Mr Emmitt as a person, it went beyond him. It is indirectly telling all white men and women who have been condemning racism that no matter what they do to stand against racism, in the eyes of people like Adichie, they can’t be fair because they are white.

Let me conclude by stating that, the word racism itself cannot be claimed to have originated from colored people or Africans. While root of the word is not clear, Linguitists generally agree that it came to the English language from Middle French.

To then claim that a white man cannot define racism, simply because he his white is not only ignorant and offensive , but it is also racist.
Who in his /her right mind listens to this foolish hypocrite.

away from faith. If you really study science, it
will bring you closer to God.”

What kinda bullcrap is this one trouting? Science & Scientists do not support atheism, even though the vast majority of Scientists (physicists in particular) are atheists, and Science, having empiricist materialism & experimental verification at its heart, gives no room for God, since such a being is an incredible, unverifiable hypothesis?!! Imagine the legendary buffoonery.

Scientific materialism is a philosophy, and it takes a great deal of philosophical illiteracy to make the assertion that science is not an atheistic enterprise. Religious scientists are merely irrational and intellectually dishonest fellas that have no qualms with Orwellian doublethink, holding contradictory beliefs without batting an eyelid. Or do they have an
y scientific evidence to back their ludicrous beliefs?
Clown did you even read the article i gave U?

36. “If we need an atheist for a debate, we go to
the philosophy department. The physics
department isn’t much use.”

since you have not been able to tell me how I got to exist, but base your ignorance on unfruitful argument all your life trying to explain how life started as you look so foolish when ever you think you are making sense I will leave you to your folly...God can't crate nothing and you won't tell me for sure who or what created all things...oh...I forgot you argued with your self that a lifeless and unintelligent matter
released chemicals that brought you to life, but won't tell me how matter came into existence....tell me the starting point of existence and I will take you serious...the white man presented to you, truth and lies...you choose lies and argument...so don't Chanel your frustration on we who has chosen truth,.. you still have enough time to make a U-turn...
Nice point Bro. They are lost in their fantasy.

I wonder why it is diffcult for Athiests to tell us how matter came into existence from nothing.

This moro'n does nothing other than appeal to authority.
A slowpoke who the World reckons as one of the greatest Scientists.

Why are you Athiests Bigots? even after you are given facts you still choose to deny reality.

You could as well explain to us how matter came into existence.
