Yes.. i called it a false doctrine.. the doctrine of eternal torment is a stupid one and i don't regret saying that. its a worthless doctrine that people used to paint God as a sadist.. people have justified hell by saying we choose to go there or other stuffs like that... I've been viewing too many threads here that people use the eternal torment as a means to portay a sadistic God. I'm going to settle it once and for all..

eternal torment preachers are welcomed to bring their ponts..

atheists which also use eternal torment as an insult to God are welcome to learn.

bigots please keep off

let the games begin

seun, lalasticlala, hardmirror, otemanuduno , shadeyinka, etc

theists and atheists alike are welcome
Nice article . this is one of the biggest Heresy issue in Christedom. i have tried explaining this to my pastor but he would not accept it.

The Gentiles were not Sabbath keepers and if the Christian's salvation depended on the keeping of the Sabbath day wouldn't God have told them? There was a specific day when the apostles got together to deliberate on their relationship with the Laws of Moses, this you can see in (Acts 15:5-11, 24-29). If the then believers were to keep the Sabbath that was the time to make it known to His children and this would have saved millions of us going to hell as you are made to believe. The only commands the apostles gave were to "abstain from meats offered to idols and from blood and from things strangled and from fornication." Show me one command in the NT where God commanded Christians to keep the Sabbath holy. If anything at all were are told not to let others judge us regarding Sabbaths (Colossians 2:16) and that man was not made for the Sabbath, but the Sabbath for man (Mark 2:27). smiley
The Bible prophised about the Gentiles and Israelities worshipping God on the Sabbath day

Isaiah  56:1 Thus saith the LORD, Keep ye judgment, and do justice: for my salvation is near to come, and my righteousness to be revealed.  56:2 Blessed is the man that doeth this, and the son of man that layeth hold on it; that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and keepeth his hand from doing any evil.  56:3 Neither let the son of the stranger, that hath joined himself to the LORD, speak, saying, The LORD hath utterly separated me from his people: neither let the eunuch say, Behold, I am a dry tree.  56:4 For thus saith the LORD unto the eunuchs that keep my sabbaths, and choose the things that please me, and take hold of my covenant;  56:5 Even unto them will I give in mine house and within my walls a place and a name better than of sons and of daughters: I will give them an everlasting name, that shall not be cut off.  56:6 Also the sons of the stranger, that join themselves to the LORD, to serve him, and to love the name of the LORD, to be his servants, every one that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and taketh hold of my covenant;  56:7 Even them will I bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer: their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted upon mine altar; for mine house shall be called an house of prayer for all people.  56:8 The Lord GOD, which gathereth the outcasts of Israel saith, Yet will I gather others to him, beside those that are gathered unto him.  56:9 All ye beasts of the field, come to devour, yea, all ye beasts in the forest.  56:10 His watchmen are blind: they are all ignorant, they are all dumb dogs, they cannot bark; sleeping, lying down, loving to slumber.

Are you saying God is lieing? Since who was the one that said Abraham obeyed his laws and commandments.

Do you know that Adam and Eve kept the Sabbath? Even their Children.

An entire nation of people, all around the world, observed the Sabbath
Over 100 languages on earth use the word
“Sabbath” for Saturday. For example, the Spanish word for Saturday is “Sabado,” meaning Sabbath.
What does this prove? It proves that when those languages originated long ago, Saturday was recognized as the Sabbath day and was
incorporated into the very name of the day.

Remember that the issue of contention was Circumcision and the keeping of Mosiac laws not the ten Commandments.

Acts 15:1 And certain men which came down from Judaea taught the brethren, and said, Except ye be circumcised after the manner of Moses, ye cannot be saved.

If it was the Ten commandments.Apostles James who was in that meeting could not have said.

James 2:10 For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all. 2:11 For he that said, Do not commit adultery, said also, Do not kill. Now if thou commit no adultery, yet if thou kill, thou art become a transgressor of the law. 2:12 So speak ye, and so do, as they that shall be judged by the law of liberty. 2:13 For he shall have judgment without mercy, that hath shewed no mercy; and mercy rejoiceth against judgment. 2:14 What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him?

Actually, before christianity was introduced to Nigeria and even Africa. Our indigenous religion was barbaric and bloody. Imagine the killing of twins, I heard a likely rumor that people are killed each day of the year in Ile-Ife for royal rituals. I heard of the Ajale incident in Ibadan where humans are kept beneath the earth to reproduce after which their body parts are sold. These have been going on for years. I read a news on BBC Africa about a man employed to disvirgin girls of a particular tribe when they come of age in a village in kenya or so. I know personally of yoruba cults which still kill babies and other humans. I have interacted personally with one of its sick members on his death bed.

Africa truly has a problem, and it is not religion. I do not think atheists are going to quit wrestling with the true God as the cause of Africas every problem anytime soon anyway. They seem too angrily fixated like their foreign counterparts to look beyond the true God, and look at the real problem.

If christianity was as atheists describe, USA, UK, Germany, Italy, Russia should be the poorest countries in the world. China should have a declining economy also as with the unstoppable rise of christianity in China.

You know we are true africans with the way some people think, and that in itself is not a bad thing. grin
Don't mind those fools. the funny thing is that the Richests and the most Influential countries are those that played so much role in the development and spread of Christainity.
US,UK,Germany,France,Spain. they are the most innovative countries. even Asians depend on those countries to intiate and develop new ideas and products for them to copy. it cannot be a concidence that the Richest Nations in the World have a long history of christainity.

Nairaland General › There Are No Successful Black Nations” by blueAgent(op): 11:10am On Oct 26, 2016
Blacks will never be respected and will remain “undignified” because they have never created a single viable nation state, Nigerian-born Assistant Professor at the University of Nebraska- Lincoln, Chigozie Obioma, has announced. Writing in the Foreign Policy journal, Obioma said that “no one will talk about the painful fact that most African and Caribbean nations have either failed or are about to collapse.
In the article, titled “There are no successful black nations,” Obioma argued that as long as “Africans continue to ignore Africa’s continuous wallowing in senseless poverty and destructive failures, as long as the Congolese or the Haitian remains the poster child for poverty and lack, we [blacks] will remain undignified.” The “indignity and helplessness of blacks in America won’t end until we have a first-world African nation to lift up our people,” he says. Of course, Obioma makes the obligatory accusations against white people for causing African ineptitude through “colonization.” This commonly-used false argument ignores the historical reality that large parts of Europe were invaded and colonized by nonwhite Huns, Mongols, Moors, and Ottoman Turks centuries before Europeans explored Africa. Inexplicably—in terms of the “colonization destroys us” argument— the mass nonwhite invasions of Europe did not seem to perpetually cripple all European people. Obioma does however declare in his article that this “colonization” argument is “only a part of the cause.” Rather, he goes on to say, the real reason why blacks have no “dignity” is simply because they have been unable to produce any first world nation or infrastructure—ever. Calling it the “worldwide indignity of the black race,” he points out that anyone of any other race pointing out the total failure of blacks to produce anything is subjected to attack and dismissed as “racist.”
This has resulted in the fact that although everyone knows all black nations are hopeless wrecks, no one dares say so. Black elites and activists across the world have adopted a culture of verbal tyranny in which they shut down any effort to reason or criticize us or black- majority nations by labeling such attempts as “racism” or “hate speech.” Thus, one can be certain that any suggestions that our race may indeed need to do something to remedy our situation will not be aired—not by the terrified people of other races. Therefore, Obioma says: No one will talk about the painful fact that most African and Caribbean nations have either failed or are about to collapse. Great men like Marcus Garvey, W. E. B. Du Bois, and Malcolm X all knew that a people is only respected when it has a nation worthy of respect. A man who lives in a shack cannot expect to be treated with respect at a palace. They knew that for us to reclaim power we must first reclaim dignity and that this comes through the construction of a solid black state with a demonstrable level of development and prosperity— and which can stand as a powerful advocate for the global black. Today, no such state exists.
He then goes on to list some of the disaster black states by name, starting off with his country of birth, Nigeria: Nigeria, the most populous black nation on Earth, is on the brink of collapse. The machineries that make a nation exist, let alone succeed, have all eroded. A culture of incompetence, endemic corruption, dignified ineptitude, and, chief among all, destructive selfishness and greed has played a major role in its unravelling. The same, sadly, can be said for most other African nations. States like Zimbabwe, Cameroon, and Equatorial Guinea are farcical democracies ruled by men who exclusively cater to their interests and those of their clipped circles. Obiamo then goes on to admit that the primary reason for the invasion of Europe and America by millions of blacks is because their own nations are self-inflicted disaster zones: Thus, it is no surprise that in the absence of any healthy black nation—in the midst of chaos, senseless wars, corrupted religiosity, violence, and economic collapse—African and Caribbean people leave home en masse. They beg on the streets of Greece, prostitute in the red-light zones of the Netherlands, and make up 40 percent of the migrants flocking to Europe. He admits that the blacks “turn up” in European countries “helpless, unwanted, starved, or maimed." This is why, Obiamo says, Africans are looked down upon—because they are so patently helpless. He writes: Everywhere from Ukraine to India, nearly every day, black indignity, black helplessness, stares us in the face. In response, he goes on, all blacks do is shout “racism” at everyone, instead of actually trying to create something of which they can be proud. And all we do, we who hold the platform can do, is scream “racism!” and court the sympathy of others. If we, black people everywhere, cannot gather the resources within our powers to exert real changes and restore our dignity, we will continue to be seen as weak. Our protestations and grievances will be met with sympathy, which does nothing to inspire respect. Black elites should allow for self-criticism and soul-searching and for the restoration of the Pan-Africanist movement with an eye toward building sustainable black nations. As long as we continue to ignore Africa’s continuous wallowing in senseless poverty and destructive failures, as long as the Congolese or the Haitian remains the poster child for poverty and lack, we will remain undignified. As long as we continue to ignore our own self-assessment and soul-searching, we will remain the undignified race.

This was a covenant ratified by the blood of bulls and goats. Exodus 24:7,8 The Israelites down the line entered therein by inheritance. Where then do the Gentiles (like you and me) stand?

And if we are made acceptable in the beloved by the Blood of Jesus in a New Covenant, is there any proof that Jesus duplicated Moses' laws being the letter that kills or HE came with the Spirit of life?

Now since we have established that the law came by Moses (the OT) and Grace came by Jesus Christ, and [size=18pt]Jesus has plainly said that the Greatest command in the Law is not observance of sabbath but Agape-love to God and Man[/size]; and we see that in the NT, the love of God is shed abroad in our heart by the Spirit, love being the fruit of the Spirit, where does the sabbath stand?

Paul, a jew of jews, by inspiration said:

19 Why, then, the Law [what was its purpose]? It was added [after the promise to Abraham, to reveal to people their guilt] because of transgressions [that is, to make people conscious of the sinfulness of sin], and [the Law] was ordained through angels and delivered to Israel by the hand of a mediator [Moses, the mediator between God and Israel, to be in effect] until the Seed would come to whom the promise had been made.
23 Now before faith came, we were kept in custody under the Law, [perpetually] imprisoned [in preparation] for the faith that was destined to be revealed,
24 [b]with the result that the Law has become our tutor and our disciplinarian to guide us to Christ, so that we may be [c]justified [that is, declared free of the guilt of sin and its penalty, and placed in right standing with God] by faith.
25 But now that faith has come, we are no longer under [the control and authority of] a tutor and disciplinarian.
[/b]Galatians 3 excerpts from AMP

It is therefore clear that the
Paul saw this confussion.happining in christaindom and he wrote.

Paul couldn’t have been plainer about seeing
himself as echoing the teachings and practices of Christ. “Imitate me, just as I also imitate Christ,” he told the Corinthians (1 Corinthians 11:1). This
statement allows no conclusion other than that
Paul saw himself as perpetuating, not
contradicting, Christ’s doctrines.
In even stronger language, Paul wrote to the
Church in Galatia, “I marvel that you are turning away so soon from Him who called you in the grace of Christ, to a different gospel, which is not another; but there are some who trouble you and want to pervert the gospel of Christ. But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you,
let him be accursed. As we have said before, so now I say again, if anyone preaches any other gospel to you than what you have received, let him be accursed” (Galatians 1:6-9).
In verses 8-9 Paul pronounces a curse on anyone who dared teach a message other than what Christ taught! In repeating this curse for
emphasis, Paul sternly warned against changes to Christ’s teaching.
and what did christ teach?

Jesus told the wealthy young ruler that the way to
salvation required keeping the 10
Commandments (Matthew 19:16-21). Jesus
Himself kept all the 10 Commandments,
including the seventh-day Sabbath (Luke 4:16).
Obviously, Jesus wasn’t intimating that anyone
could earn salvation by keeping the 10
Commandments. Yet He taught and showed by
example that God has set a reasonable standard
of behavior for His children. That standard is the
10 Commandments.
When the Pharisees tried to trick Christ into
saying something against the law, He did not
deny the law its place. “Then one of them, a
lawyer, asked Him a question, testing Him, and
saying, ‘Teacher, which is the great
commandment in the law?’
“Jesus said to him, ‘“You shall love the LORD
your God with all your heart, with all your soul,
and with all your mind.” This is the first and great
commandment. And the second is like it: “You
shall love your neighbor as yourself”’” (Matthew
22:35-39). Here Jesus quoted Old Testament
scriptures that summarized the message of the 10
Commandments.
This confrontation presented Jesus Christ with
the perfect opportunity to clarify that His death
would shortly bring an end for the need of the
commandments altogether. But He did not say
any such thing, because it would not have been
true. Putting these scriptures together leaves no
doubt. Christ kept the 10 Commandments, and
He taught others to do the same. And that leaves
people who have a bias against the law in a
difficult position. How do they reconcile Christ’s
teaching to abide by the law with the notion that
Paul taught that grace does away with the law?

[/b]Galatians 3 excerpts from AMP

It is therefore clear that the
People misunderstand this Bible verse ,we are not under the law but grace.they conclude that the law has been done away with. But this is misinterpretation of the Bible.
First what is under:under means to govern, manage, authority, been subjected to.
The Bible defines Sin as the breaking of the law.James2:9-12
And the wages of Sin(breaking of the law is death) Romans6:23
Been under the law means been subjected to the consquences or influence or authority of the law.which means anyone who breaks the law was subjected to death penatly.as shown by this Bible verses Deuteronomy 13:6, 10;
21:18, 21; 22: 21-28, and all of Leviticus 20,you will read there are whole series of injunctions
concerning the putting to death of persons who were idolaters, who were rebellious to their
parents, who committed adultery or were guilty of
incest, who cursed father or mother -- in fact,
who violated any part of the moral code. Indeed,
someone has estimated that no less than nine of
the Ten Commandments are specifically mentioned in connection with the penalty of
death for their violation.

Grace:grace means to pardon,to show kindness,to forebear.
When Jesus died. he fulfilled the requirements of the law by dieing in our place.through his death we obtained mercy.
Thats we are now nolonger subjected to death penalty as prescribed by the law, but we are now pardoned and given a second chance .but  We are not given mercy that we should continue in Sin.(breaking the law) no but we should live in accordance to the law as people who have obtained mercy.Romans6:1-2, 14:15
An example of Law and grace is found in John8:1-12.
When people brought and adultress woman to Jesus, and asked him to permit them to stone her to death according to the law. Jesus wrote with his finger on the ground, and when they persisted Jesus said to them. He without sin should cast the first stone. they all left one after the other. Then Jesus lookup and asked the woman.where is your accusers and the woman said they have gone.
Jesus said to her i don't condem you go and sin no more( do not break the law again) this is a typical example of grace at work.without grace the woman was supposed to die by stoning but Jesus offered her and all of us Grace(pardon, second chance).
Now observe the law remains the same becos it is the law only that can point out sin ,Romans 4:15 and Romans 5:13.
What changed was the dispensation of Justice instead of sinners been put to death immediately. We have now obtained grace or pardon.

Why we knock before opening
mortuary door – C-River mortician
ON October 18, 20165:09 AM/IN

OKUNMI- THE proprietor of Emeka Mortuary,
Okunmi Community, located at the suburbs of
Ikom, Central senatorial district, Cross River
State, Mr. Kalu Ben Chima, popularly called
Emeka Ambulance, has revealed the spiritual
combats morticians, now and again, go through
with occultists and members of some secret
societies before their corpses were embalmed in his mortuary.

The Arochukwu-born mortician, whose mortuary
is located along Ikom-Calabar highway, confessed
to NDV that dead bodies, especially those of
occultists and members of secret societies “do
give us trouble while being embalmed because
their bodies have been ‘fortified’ by the devil or
some spiritual forces.”
Power pass power
“In such cases, we have to pet and persuade them
by talking to them to allow the chemicals to
penetrate their bodies, but if they remain
stubborn, we have to employ our own spiritual
force and of course, power pass power and we
can then embalm them,” he disclosed.
According to him, he learned the trade in Onitsha
General Hospital, Anambra state, and had come
to know that some dead bodies were so
“powerful” such that they do not allow others to
lie close to them and he was always careful when
attending to such bodies.
Some corpses don’t allow others to lie near
them
His words: “Some powerful people do not allow
other dead bodies to lie close to them, so in the
night, they will remove other bodies near them
and dump them far from where they are or they
would go to an isolated place and lie there – all
dead bodies are not the same, which is why we
knock before we enter there.”
Mind-boggling tales
Our reporter traveled from Calabar to Okunmi to
meet Mr. Chima following some strange reports
about corpses in his mortuary established in
2010.
A few months after it was established, there was
an unsubstantiated story about a man, whose car
broke down close to the mortuary late in the
night and he decided to seek for place to spend
the night, and knocked on the door of a house he
saw light burning close by.
A security guard reportedly came out and gave
him a mat to sleep in a section of the room, only
for him to wake up the next morning and
discovered that he slept among corpses and he
instantly passed out. Another case was that while
conveying a corpse, the mortician occasionally
walked behind the ambulance, while the corpse
drives the van and the bizarre- that he sells body
parts of dead people and so on.
Chima confirmed some creepy stories and
described others as hearsay. On the man who
allegedly slept in the mortuary with corpses, he
said it was not true and he does not keep security
guards in the mortuary.
Corpses still have spiritual powers
His words: “The corpses may be dead, but they
still possess some spiritual powers to protect
themselves. We have about 100 corpses right
now and 18 abandoned ones, but we keep the
place open, both day and night, without any
security and anybody, who attempts to do
anything funny by going there to steal or do
anything has himself to blame”.
He, however, described as false claims that some
people sell parts of dead people or do have sex
with them.
Sex with dead, a deadly affair
Chima asserted: “Do not think that because she is
lying down there, she is finished and you can go
and have sex with her. You will die also in a
matter of hours or days and how can someone
sell body parts of a corpse or water used in
washing a corpse, such water is poisonous.
People die from different ailments such as HIV/
AIDS, and water used in washing their bodies is
poisonous and any person who uses it will either
die or contact sickness.”
On the report that he has rented crowd of women,
who engage in bogus weeping when a person
dies, he said the women were part of a
specialized funeral services he offers.
Some people hire mourners before their death
He explained: “Some people do not have people
to cry for them when they die, so they will
arrange with us while they are alive to get some
women to cry during their burial and also, some
people because they are polygamist would
arrange with us to organize the casket, grave, and
mortuary services so that when they die, there
will be no struggle among family members on
who to do what and so on.”

oh so these are your christians who invented the internet?
Lol...let me help you..
Vinton Cerf(father of the internet)---Atheist
Aaron swartz(developer of the Rss internet feed)----Atheist

The people who, earlier, developed the concept of packet switching that permitted the internet
(Leonard Kleinrock, Paul Baran, Donald Davies, Bob Kahn) do not have any religious affiliation advertised

Your ability to use the internet is the result of the works of atheists and agnostics
Bill gates(microsoft)----Agnostic
Steve Jobs(Apple ios)----Agnostic
Steve Wozniak(Apple ios)---Atheist
Linus Torvalds(The kernel which androids run on)----Atheist

And the internet is impossible because of these three guys
Konrad zuse(father of modern computers;inventor of the modern computer)----Atheist
Claude shannon(the mathematics which the internet was based on;the information theory)----Atheist
Alan Turing(father of computer science)----Atheist

so i dont know the rubbish you're sending to me

lol..
(1).FYI,tim berners lee was an atheist as at the time he invented the www---(1989)..he only became religious because he married and had kids(1991)...
2)He is not a christian as at now/didnt become a christian....he is a UNITARIAN UNIVERSALIST....UU is not christianity...
How many years did you google to get this?

Why are U obessed about Scientists who are Athiests? i guess you need them badly for atheism to seem relevant.
Mind you most of those Scientists you mentioned were born into religeous homes ,some even had their parents as preists.they only became athiests inorder to be reconginsed in the scientific world or inorder to recieve research grants from the Elites, you are too naive to know this.

Sorry, are you referring to the early church here?

Note that this practise predates Constantine.

And upon the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul preached unto them, ready to depart on the morrow; and continued his speech until midnight.
Acts 20:7
http://biblehub.com/commentaries/acts/20-7.htm might be a good reference.

Sabbath remains saturday and there is

It is therefore clear that the
This your comment is not Biblical.
God is not the author of confussion.every Bible verse must balance itself without contractdiction.

The same Jesus said if you love me keep my Commandments. John 14:15

The Same Jesus instructed a man who asked him what he will do to make Heaven. Jesus asked him to keep the Commandments.

The same Jesus that said Any one that adds or remove anything from the law shall be called the least in Heaven.
◄ Matthew 5:18

The law is like the consistution of Heaven. the ten commandments are reflecxion of God's character if the ten commandments could be done away with,Jesus could not have died. but rather he died to pay the price required by the law which is death.so that me and U can have life
