Even we weh deh predict, no be say we like am, na anxiety dey cause am. Bro, I am sure the brazen release of sensitive signal documents here made the NA delay the screening before thr COVID crisis. No professional Army in the world would entertain such intelligence leak. So as not to be predictable, the NA would release the least when we least expect it That's my point |

Please I will advise we refrain from making predictions as to when the list would be released, especially making such predictions with certainty
The NA frowns at such. I dare say it is a major reason the list has been delayed till now.
I advise we keep such predictions to ourselves until the army deems it fit to release the list |

steady986: Man, it's gon be a long season for the Warriors. When they lose they lose heavily, when they win they win narrowly. Maybe it's their defence they need to even worry about. You can't keep shipping these large numbers on a nightly basis. To be more specific, their defensive rebounding is a huge problem. Even their 6ft 9+ tall guys have a hard time grabbing defensive rebounds. They need to work on that |

A40: This is the energy he needs to bring as frequently as possible. Even with his rings he still has a lot of doubters. You have people saying Harden and Lillard are better even though he has been beating them with and without KD.
I still set the bar for them as 8th seed. In a conference of 15 teams a Steph Curry led team should be able to finish in the top 8.
This is my issue with Kerr and why I don't rate him as high as people are won't to do. It's seasons like these that we want to see how good you really are coaching wise. We shall see if he proves me wrong. You can't be doing equal opportunity offense when one player is head and shoulders ahead of the rest Even as a GSW fan, I have to agree with this. I feel the pressure is more on Kerr than Steph. Kerr is the man with a lot more to prove. It may take time and patience but I believe GSW will rise from the ashes |

Merry Christmas to you all.
As we celebrate this yuletide, let us not forget our fallen heroes and those who are still battling hard in the trenches and sandy dunes of North-Eastern Nigeria. Their sacrifice will never be forgotten
RIP Mangojuice, RIP Lt Buba.
While we hope for the best as we await the list, let us pause and reflect on the great sacrifices of all Nigerian Armed Forces Servicemen and women. It won't take us much to observe a minute silence in our respective houses for the departed brave souls.
I love you all. |

Do you expect people being paid peanuts as salaries without any research grants whatsoever to fund their own labs? Some of you get to western Lands and then forget where you're coming from. Please face reality. It is very difficult for a Nigerian Academic to own, fund or even run his/her own private lab |

KelvinCoaster: benji93...The point(s) you made is just 5% of the problem.I am speaking from experience now:99% of Nigerian lecturers expect the government to build research laboratories and create funds to facilitate research. This has been the blame-game ASUU have played since 1994.Anyone with a drive to succeed can set up a mini-laboratory where basic, fundamental and original studies can be carried out.Rather, what you have are lecturers that prefer to spend their money on buying SUVs and building mansions.Majority of our colleagues in Europe and the USA have private labs(example,wip7).This makes a large chunk of their success-stories because they are able to solve problems at-a-go! 'Setting up private research laboratories is a major game changer'. Setting up a private lab is quite capital intensive. Funding is necessary for research; whether private lab or govt lab. The story remains the same. Funds are needed. Please note that wip7 conducts his research in a western society with easier access to funding. He isn't a good basis for comparison please |

TheWizPhoenix: It is possible to acknowledge that SFcomander has gone too far in the needless and persistent dropping of false info and also agree that some of your approach towards calling him out were somewhat extreme.
It is always important to know when to separate issues and above all the need for empathy when dealing with fellow humans because we are not infallible ourselves.
Digging up a few old posts without context or a proper understanding of the poster's psyche at the time does not prove anything but the fact that regardless of our present stand we are all capable of being uncouth and resorting to harsh/unkind words, but that still doesn't make us bad people.
Truth is that we all have our own personal reasons and motivation for embarking on this quest to join the NA and regardless of those reasons I don't think anyone is more deserving than the other, especially considering that whether one is deserving or not isn't even up to us either.
At the end of the day it is up to the universe/fate/God to crown our efforts, so why should we bother ourselves with non issues that are not part of our target. Sheath your swords brethren and "Live and let's live", but that wouldn't stop anyone that behaves anyhow from getting dragged(non extreme dragging) We need to keep the sanity of this thread. While I agree that no one is above occasional bad behaviour, we must hold ourselves to high standards as prospective officers. Besides, no one judged him as unfit to be commissioned, rather that he should behave properly online as this could determine a whole lot. |
