Swiz123 no dey always get sub to watch match when Saka dey ball. Make Saka get one bad game like this, he will say he has always known that " Saka is mediocre " 😂 |
semid4lyfe:The flats could be majorly miniflats and few 2 bedroom flats |
raumdeuter:The robber can't be trusted to speak the truth of what happened neither can we trust Nigeria police who are not known for their honesty for a reason. Let's just hope deceased lady's soul finds rest. |
izzou:Police give story, robber dey back am up. The irony! |
raumdeuter:That's what it is ; a story which is mere speculation. The robbers decided to go with that narrative when they were arrested since some people already believe it. Theh went further to spice it up with the robber-becoming-saviour additive and we can see through it. |
TemporaryHansel:Who will be crowned Ọba if the the governor deposes the current one? Will he crown the current oba's son or his cousin? Hope you know the throne is inherited by blood and not transferable via selection/election like kingship of other communities/kingdom? |
raumdeuter:So the people who would lie that they tried to Save her could not also be telling lies about she jumping? Those claiming she jumped are making assumptions that can easily be invalidated with the cocckk and bull story of robbers attempting to become super hero. |
izzou:It's cocck and bull story that she wanted to jump and a robber tried to Save her. It's a badly written work of fiction if u ask me |
semid4lyfe:No, but that could be because of the tragedy that had already happened which forced the robbers to leave hurriedly. If you read the report of the police especially the part that talked about how much the robbers shared amongst themselves from the proceeds of the robbery you will see that it was an insignificant amount which suggests the operation was not a successful one as a result of the tragedy that happened. She may have been the first victim of the rape or maybe it was the set of robbers alloted to her wing of the building that went rogue by trying to take advantage of her. ( The initial report says the robbers divided themselves into groups in order to speed up the robbery) |
@semid4lyfe I don't want to quote the entire post because I see others have quoted same. I honestly don't think she jumped simply because she was about to be robbed. You made assertions about eyewitness accounts but I doubt if there was indeed any eyewitness in the real sense of the word. I don't think the other occupants of the building who were getting robbed simultaneously would have time to peep to see whether the lady was about to be molested before she fell to her death or whether he just jumped of her own volition. It's actually a very strange behavior that she would jump to her death to avoid losing valuables to robbers. Maybe when their trial starts we would get more details of what really transpired that night. |
Sportsweb:He didn't think about the interpretation of that maths; he was busy focusing on the ratio instead of its interpretation ![]() |
iamoyindamola:Something tells me Nigeria police do actually have CI's( Criminal Informants) who give them intelligence anytime a major crime like this happens and the top hierarchy of police needs to provide results ASAP. I have noticed how police have ended up arresting suspects of major crimes like the Offa Bank robbery and some other major cases. I think Most Area Commanders know all the head of bad boys throughout the stretch of their police command. The moment a major crime that gets national attention makes IGP call the Commissioner to call Area Commander for result, u will just see that they will be proactive and they will fish out culprits out. When I was in school , one of these local motels was not so far from our hostel. We heard the owner of the motel regularly settles the DPO and his boys for protection. Anytime there's default in payment police would raid them in the motel. Also when area spoil like when cult boys shoot themselves, the police know where to go pick them up based off on streets info the police gets from the girls they sleep with. Police will just raid the girls in the motel and extract info from them so they can track the boys and arrest them. |
semid4lyfe:I don't believe she jumped voluntarily to her death, I think the robbers only decided to go with the narrative already going round in the media. In my own personal opinion, I think they may have attempted to molest her and in the struggle with them she fell to her death. The robbers definitely know that if they state things the way it happened, they won't only be facing charge of armed robbery but multiple charges of murder/manslaughter. They will rather spend their life in prison instead of getting the death sentence. (bar the guy who confessed to killing the security guard) Kudos to the police for quickly apprehending them because according to that police report the dare devils were already on their way for another operation before they were rounded up. |
Police have arrested 12 of the Abuja robbers that led to death of the AriseTV staff. https://x.com/ruffydfire/status/1976207512740262004?s=46 I just wish police can be this proactive generally when it comes to combating crimes. I mean if they are this proactive rather than being nuisance to the citizens , most Nigerians including myself really celebrate them |
semid4lyfe:It had been long overdue. At some point, I thought Tinubu and his co-travelers were enjoying Wike's monthly show of shame. |
Emaprince:A friend of mine got an apartment around palmgroove/onipanu for 2.5m and total package was 3.5m ( and yes it's 2 bedroom flat). Depsite being a modern house, he had to fix one or two things in the house and also design TV console with everything he spent on that being around 1.5m. So.long and short, he spent 5m in total moving from a very old apartment to a modern apartment within the same axis. This was as at June this year ó. |
semid4lyfe:Omo na to no gree for them o. If court has pronounced it, I won't budge o especially knowing they don't carry gun like police. I guess they just want to extort with that faded plate number nonsense because it makes no sense for them to penalize u for a low quality number plate they sold to u. Except dem attach towing vehicle to my car I will never follow them to anywhere as far as faded plate number is concerned. |
Now that the police have bowed to pressure by putting on hold the enforcement of tinted permit, what will happen if court eventually declare the permit illegal? Will the police return the money of people that have rushed to apply for the permit? To think it even took a lot of pressure from the public and NBA before Nigeria Police force would obey a court order 🤦♂️

GloriousGbola:I think the Parthian Partners in the link you posted is an investment banking firm. Nnaji is a software guy and the article claimed he was the CEO of Parthian Partners(maybe the journalists mixed the names). I did some digging and I observed the Parthian group has more than one under the group. There's a Parthian Technologies , Parthian Partners, Parthian Capital and Parthian Pension(coming soon). Somehow, only Parthian Tehcnologies (which I suspect is where Nnaji previously served as CEO) does not have any information about leadership/Management Team on their website. Na dem know why dem scrape his data off their records sha. https://parthiantechnologiesng.com/ |
CrystalTiger:The guy spoke well when he was interviewed in the senate. He spoke about innovation and lofty ideas about promoting technology to lift Nigerian economy. What do u expect National assembly members who are politicians first to do? Shey no be to clap for their colleague and tell him to take a bow? That was exactly what tbey did. It's DSS that has the major job to do and they fumbled. |
Spy360:I read People gazette's report on fornt page and their report suggests some forces within DSS suppressed the findings on the forgery. Apparently NYSC confirmed his certificate was not genuine but DSS went ahead to clear him. So we might not just be talking about forgery here but also case of bribery because that's the only reason I can think for clearing him knowing what they know (allegedly) |
GloriousGbola:@Semid4lyfe I think this post captured what I was trying to say. You may be right that Oluwole got more popular in the 90's , but people had been forging documents long before then. Like GloriousGbola rightly put it : "The limitations to formatting and printing made forgery easy to carry out, but harder to detect in those days. . Forged documents looked similar to genuine ones. For example, this Nnaji case showed Nnaji's certificates followed the same formatting as the rest of his course mates and NYSC set. His undoing were minor issues like the forger mistakenly inputting 13 months period as his NYSC year. Also, the person who signed his certificate was not yet the DG of NYSC when he claimed to have served. No be say na formatting of the document cast am o. |
semid4lyfe:Newspapers, publishers and some private individuals had printing machines used for commercial printing. Some of those machines in the hands of unscrupulous individuals led to advent of forged documents. They made those forged documents looked exactly like originals when subjected to "eye-test". It is the advent of special and exclusive software as well as forensic auditing of documents that tackled forgery a bit in modern times. |
semid4lyfe:Maybe because you are not based in Lagos. Have you heard about the infamous Oluwole on Lagos Island? Oluwole is not a myth, if you want any forged document, Oluwole boys would produce it for you. I think the place was demolished sometimes around 2007. (Not like that has stopped boys who still market forged documents from hanging around there till date). It was the advent of technology that really spoilt the forgery market. https://www.nairaland.com/6841834/how-technology-destroyed-place-called. I had a coursemate in 100L who was very good in graphics. He once confided in me that the number of forged documents he had done for people long before he gained admission was so much he can't remember. He dsigned checks for yahoo boys and also produces any university degree certificate for anyone who needs it. I was shocked and thought he was just trying to impress me with cocck and bull story. I asked him how he will forge documents like WAEC certificate that has that shiny hologram that needs to pass mercury light test before it can be confirmed as genuine. Do you know what he told me? He said that shiny hologram is the cheapest thing to get for him; he said the shiny hologram was sold for N100 at Oju-irin at Mushin. (Anybody in Lagos knows Mushin raliway crossing and Palmgrove are the hub of printing press in Lagos). Since that day, I no dey doubt say people dey work with forged documents even in big organization. |
monerozi5590:I should tell you the difference between job interview and media interview. So when I do, what will you do with the information? You will claim they are diffrent right? Then you will proceed to veer off the topic and be arguing about obscenities that has nothing to do with the matter being discussed? A sensible person who knows he has rights knows that a serving who takes himself to media station will be faced with questions around contentious issus like the coastal road project and he's expected to answer those questions as best as he can. The minister is overseeing the biggest single capital project in Nigeria's history till date and he's getting angry over the political leaning of the journalist interviewing him when he should be selling the project to as many people as possible who are still not convinced the project is what we need now. Here you are suggesting if is okay for the minister to form performatory outrage instead of answering the journalist's question. With people like you constituting majority of our population, we will always get the short end of the stick in this country. |
monerozi5590:Sometimes I wonder if u read or ponder long enough on some of these things u post before posting them. So because Umahi may have answered the questions in the past, he shouldn't answer same in the interview yesterday? Do you have any real life exposure? Do you know that for some jobs you will be required to undergo at least 4 levels of panel interview and for each of the interview stages they will ask you the same generic question: " can we meet you?" or"tell us about yourself". Will you suddenly fly out of your handle at the 3rd stage of interview that why are they asking you a question you've already answered in your previous interview? In case you don't know, Umahi is a public servant whose current lifestyle is being financed by my tax and yours ( that is if you are paying tax). He owes us answers and that's why he's on Arise TV to give account of what his ministry has been doing with our tax. The question posed to him is a valid one and he should answer without any drama. He could as well have stayed in his ministry and refuse to speak to media so we will know they intend to spend our commonwealth without being accountable to anyone. Maybe that will make u happy Sha, since Rufai the interviewer is Ur own problem. |
Theflint1:Real life Sizwe Bansi is dead. I remember reading that book in secondary school literature class and I could relate with the story line cos we don too hear about stories like that in Nigeria long before then. |
Theflint1:Something tells me it's all those "technocrats" lamba Woye and other APC propaganda dey shout up and down when Tinubu appointed the ministers make Premium times and People's gazette carry shovel begin dig the records and past of these guys before dem strike gold with Uche Nnaji ![]() |
Spy360:It's just crazy that DSS that's supposed to be an I telligemce agency couldn't call this forgery out from day one. Imagine, this whole forgery slipped through DSS' supposed watchful eyes, it's just bunch of journalists that eventually did what should've been DSS job perfectly well.. Now I understand the reason why that short man Elrufai dey Para for Tinubu because of the DSS report that was used to stop his confirmation as minister. He probably knows DSS is an incompetent organization and could's let him off if they wanted to in their report which tinubu relied on. Shebi na the same report clear certificate forger like Nnaji. ![]() |
Lest we forget, Uche Nnaji is one of the technocrats the master planner appointed as minister o. |
GloriousGbola:There are actually some students who managed to be on good standing till Final year but still had some papers to sit before they can proceed to NYSC clearance. Most students who are from humble backgrounds would strive to clear such outstandings within a year or two after their mates had gone for NYSC. You see those from comfortable backgrounds, those ones would always be looking for who to "sort" in the system without having to take the pain of sitting for the outstanding papers with their "juniors". That's where they always run into problem like this Nnaji guy. The premium times Editor claimed they saw correspondence between Nnaji and UNN management in which he was pleading with the university for him to be allowed to write the outstanding exams the same year he claimed he observed NYSC. The guy really shiiit for church but was telling his spokesperson to be writing big big grammar on social media as defense till everything cast finish. |
