Person wey don meet President, Governors and even senators.

You were given 5bn. At least, deliver what 5 billion was worth first.

When he was talking about how cement went from 7k to 10k, that was when I knew something was fishy. A contractor with experience cannot be blindsided with inflation.

He should have waited for Enugu state to give their side, before crying. Now he wasted his Nollywood skills for nothing.

Greed means it is never enough. also when you keep getting away with doing rubbish, you will continue.

i am sure thee is another part of the story where he gave big kickbacks to govt officials attached to the project and they had a falling out or oga at the top became interested in the project progress

as it is, the guy don enter am. i doubt he has political connections to play yahaya bello game here

best he can do is cry on SM
I didn't watch the guy's sobbing videos so I don't know what excuse he gave for failure to deliver on the project but from what I read in the Enugu state government's side of the story, it appears the guy never had intentions of delivering on the project in line with the contract terms.

If the government advenced 50% for the project and upon provision of bank guarantee bond, sijumoto was expected to have achieved major milestone from the funds and at least have on ground equity work that can be assessed to encourage the government to release the balance payment.

To me it juts seem as if the guy has been so used to doing shoddy jobs for government contracts and wasn't expecting the state government to operate strictly on the terms of the contract. He most likely had greased people's palms and was expecting them to give him pass so he can assess the outsnadibg balance while delivery a poor quality job.

The audacity he has to have avoided all meetings with the the state's engineering monitoring team shows he has his trust on the old system of greasing palms and putting up a no-show.

I like how the Enugu state government put a fire to his asss. Now he will have to reimburse them and he will be in serious debt for not doing the right thing and being arrogant while in the wrong.

Guys, thoughts on Benjamin Hundeyin’s recent promotion as Force PPRO? I think it is well deserved and I expect him to do well.
I think the guy is not bad. If he can just focus on doing his job and not get caught up in the politics side if things like his predecessor he will certainly do well.

When she taya, na she go use her hand go marry young girl wey she fit handle for my grandpa wey come born 4 kids

Some people the 1 wey dem born na through serious challenge sef that almost took their lives

One of the miracles of science is IVF, many women who would have been condemned to barrenness or called witches wey dey eat their own kids can now celebrate motherhood
One of my in-laws lost her first child few months after birth. A couple of years after she was blessed with another boy that stayed and then when she was in labour of another pregnancy , she had a complication that required them to take out her womb.

She had to make peace with the fact that she won't be able to have more kids . She consented to them taking out her womb to save the baby girl. Today she has just those two kids.

I'm sure some nosy distant relative who don't know her journey would be stupiidly teasing her and her hubby asking why they've not given their 8 year old daughter "aburo"

Am not mocking her situation as I'm fully aware of some people's plight when it comes to pregnancy... please don't misunderstand me,am only stating a disadvantage of having a child (even when rich and capable of giving birth to 3),people generally see disadvantages of giving birth to 3,4,5 children but often ignore disadvantage of having 1. You'd hear things like- i wanna keep fit, economy hard.

This particular woman, she's the second wife of her husband. The first wife had 3 kids before her demise , while she has just one.

The fact that she has just one should suggest to you that she most likely couldn't have more kids due to medical reasons. I have been seeing people online trying to use the tragic loss of her son to make a point that is totally unnecessary at this point in time.

When tragedy strikes, even 5 kids can die one single day in a road accident or air mishap. Life can happen to both the one-child parent and the multiple-child parent.

The court case was probably instituted by the ex-Aviation Minister, Hadi Sirika using Air Peace and other Nigerian Airlines as proxy so the project will never see the light of day, and he could embezzle the money, and have a built-in excuse for the failure.

The House of reps investigated the whole Nigeria Air project and labelled it a fraud but this man here is telling coccck and bull story .

I don't blame him sha; if things were working in the right way in this country , the house of reps should have called for his arrest and immediate prosecution the moment they labelled the project fraud. Regardless of the situation/enlightenment, I will never agree with the consensus of having one or two children at most... life is often cruel.
People holding this position over the woman's loss are being unfair. It is unfair not knowing her story yet making it seem like she elected to not have more than one child.

From the ones I know, most people who have one or two kids do so due to medical reasons/fertility issues. People struggle with a whole lot of issues underground that they don't bring to social media. There are people that wish to have 4 to 5 kids but they don't even have 1 and yet medical tests keep showing they are fertile and medically fit.

I just feel we should learn to be kind to others and not draw this type of insensitive inference from other people's pains.

Bwala didn't say anything new, he only confirmed the age long fact that Lagos didn't become what it is today because of any phantom master strategist anywhere, rather it has benefited immensely from its status as the commercial nerve center of Nigeria. The state has been privileged to enjoy federal government's benevolence for decades under successful governments and he's making a case for the state to get more federal government's intervention under this current administration.

That Lagos is ethnically Yoruba and located in the Southwestern part of Nigeria has never been in doubt.

Come January 2026 the new 5% tax on every liter of petrol product purchased will take effect. i.e if PMS sells for N860/liter as at December 2025, come January 2026 the same liter of PMS will cost 903.

This will of course have multiplier effect on almost every commodity sold in the market and the people will have lesser disposable income at their disposal.

The government in a bid to increase revenue will also be tasking FIRS to work closely with banks to ensure anybody who makes minimum of 800k gross income per annum will have their tax debited from source. It doesn't matter whether you are self employed or have a formal employer. Once it is confirmed your bank account receives minimum of 800k in a year, the bank will assist FIRS to collect the appropriate tax as per the new tax law.

While people who want to defend this government may be putting forth argument that there's no big deal in this since most forward thinking countries rely heavily on taxes as source of government revenue/funding for government, we would also not forget to remind them that those forward thinking countries don't have the kind of rot we are witnessing under this government in this country.

A forward thinking country would not have the presidency awarding a multi trillion contract like the coastal road without following due process. A forward thinking country would not have someone like betta Edu who transfered government funds into personal account walking freely today. A serious government would not overlook allegations against a sitting minister like Wike who is living at the expense of tax payers money while allocating lands to his friends, families and acquaintances unchecked.

They simply want to widen the tax bracket and increase government revenue so they keep stealing from the masses so their political slaves and hallelujah boys keep singing their praise to high heavens for being "progressives" while the governed is thrown further below the poverty line.

Well, I don't expect the packaged rice sold in the stores and open market to be the same price as that sold in my state cos we buy directly from the rice mill.

But even at that Bokku rice dey expensive and is definitely not the best deal out there.

On TikTok, many dealers are selling 50kg for less than 69k. Some dealers dey even lament onto say dem stock up when the price dey high, now the price don fall.

Anyways, Bokku current price doesn't invalidate my point cos it's a drop from the 78k a few months back.
By the time u add dispatch cost to those online vendor's price it will be above bokku's price ( that is if the quality of rice tbey are offering is up to big bull which bokku is selling).

Bokku rice is not expensive. I once compared their price with that of open market and theirs was cheaper.

Yes I forgot to mention it on my post that Bokku's price has dropped albeit not as much that of Ur state of residence. About 7k to 8k price differential for 25kg and 50kg here in Lagos.

Price of rice is steadily crashing. I was at the rice mill yesterday, and prices ranged from 17k to 22k for a bushel (25kg) depending on the species, grain type, and whether its old or new rice. The one I got cost 18k for the bushel. For context, this time last year, I got a bushel for 38k, and 3 months ago I bought at 25k.

Judging from the price at the mill, 50kg bag of rice at supermarket stores no suppose pass 50k.

Buhari border closure and banning of rice importation drove up the price of rice. and now that PBAT has reversed it, the price don dey come down, and long may it continue.
I've checked the price of 25kg and 50kg bags of rice as promised.

P.S : The price is from Bokku which is arguably the cheapest u can get compared to open market price/price from other stores.
