Police has always been exploiting people for illegally turning mile 2 bridge .

Concerned citizens decided to erect a signboard warning fellow citizens it is an illegal U-turn in order to avoid further police exploitation.

Guess what ? The signboard has been removed and the bridge damaged in the process of its removal .

They lost Lagos in the last election, e pain them very well. I am waiting for them to change ozumba mbadiwe too
By the time this APC led government finish everyone with tribal wars, I hope iya chidinma is save where she's and not sent back to the east.
Make all of them Getat! Let them focus on fixing roads in those areas, fix street light and improve security instead of wasting time on non issues like name change.

For over a year now people have been complaining about Gbadada-Oshodi expressway. From Iyana Oworo down to Oshodi, there's no functioning streetlight on that full stretch of the road. Neither the state government nor the LGA's think of solving that problem. People get robbed at night at that charly boy bus stop regularly; if u listen to all these Yoruba radio programs dedicated to combating crime u will hear people call in often and lament the rate of robbery at that bus stop. One chance operators also operate unhindered on that axis on a regular basis.

It will make sense if govenrment focus on fixing those problems sha

People like Sam Larry actually do not deserve to speak where reasonable people talk. He is a thug who was caught on camera threatening and assaulting the late Mohbad.

Whatever hate he is getting today, he attracted to himself by his past actions. He is not in a position to mock anybody . He is a bully who is getting bullied online by other badly raised adults like him. End of Discussion

I honestly don’t think people living in obodo oyinbo can be trusted on this issue. Whether they realize it or not, most of them are compromised, consciously or unconsciously.
I like to be open minded on this . I don’t think anybody is compromised , it’s just normal for them to share their opinion if they believe GMO isn’t as bad as we assume . It’s also not a bad idea for people who are anti-GMO to share their own perspective too .

It’s only when discussion is made around the subject we can genuinely understand who is right and who is not .

The idea that Frank Edoho is struggling financially or otherwise is baffling..
Well , I don’t know about what was said or unsaid in the so called fight between Omojuwa and frank but certainly Frank has things going well for him.

It’s just like saying because u don’t see Alibaba often on the screen that means he fell off. He Dey chop better with corporate shows ; the kind of events that u already have ur fulll fees deposited to ur account before u even leave ur house . And he’s even sure to meet other execs that can give him more gigs at the venue .

To me, I believe that’s a decent and respectable way of earning a living compared to what Omojuwa stands for or does sha .

One of the major problems in this era is the mindset that if you’re not flaunting a larger-than-life lifestyle on social media, then you must be struggling or failing at life.

I honestly don’t see any other reason why someone would make such a ridiculous comment about Frank Edoho.
Well , if one made it through being in everybody’s face in the media space , it is understandable people assume such person fell off the moment they don’t see him on the screens or hear so much about him often .

But the truth is people like Frank Edoho can’t grow hungry with the kind of talent he has and the networking he must have done when he was on TV . In fact , it’s his price that will even make some clients unable to pay him .

You will read my subsequent post where I am encouraging the question(s) and that is the approach an influencer like Aproko Doctor should have done. He did not approach the conversation correctly and ended up confusing people more. Aproko Doctor should have approached the conversation from a point of complimenting food production versus the natural thought of eliminating organic food production.

Humans over the centuries have evolved and as we evolve, everything about us evolve so we can adapt to the environment. Level of modification depends on the advancement in science and technology and truly understanding what goes into commercial food processing. Food processing at its commercial stage in Nigeria is already modified, irrespective of the level. Even here in the US, no one forces you to buy GMO foods, if anything, they clearly marked as GMOs/ Organic and you make a choice which you want.

GMO is not a novel invention, the issue is that we haven't discussed it and that is the power an one of the advantages of SM. Social media evokes conversations about every and anything.

Now, in 2025, it has become a strong conversation in Nigeria, we can talk about the advantages, disadvantages but more importantly correct false narratives that associate GMOs to Obesity, Cancer, Autism (or any form of intellectual disability), Dementia, HBP and other health related diseases. This is the angle that puts fear in people and when a Medical Doctor approaches a vastly broad conversation like that unprepared, he is set to cause more confusion.
Exactly! This is what just happened ; now Hudeyin and other guys are pushing a whole lot of conspiracy theory viewpoints and people dey pander to their narrative.

I guess more medical practitioners and food scientists who are knowledgeable in that field may need to come out to lend their voice to the matter
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by BlueRayDick: 6:32pm On Jul 25, 2025
Roland17:
There are inherent risks in every aspect of science. Take for instance, vaccines. Do they have benefits? I strongly believe so and that is why I encourage vaccinations, do they have risks? absolutely yes but the benefits of prevention have shown more success than failures. A vaccinated child after birth has a higher survival rate when compared to an unvaccinated child. The idea isn't to eliminate organic food production, no. Rather, it is to compliment the efforts of organic food production and guarantee food security for Nigeria.

Let me be honest with you. You are already consuming GMOs long before now in Nigeria. Take for instance, the "Natural Orange/ Apple juice" people have been consuming in Nigeria. Do you think they are primarily organic at their commercial stage? I can go on and on..The only difference is that it is now getting attention. Science will be useless without questions and that is what this does.
You didn't address the point I raised in my post.

I said people are skeptical because most of the discussions around GMO is centered around it's advantages and less said about it's health risks.

I think I saw a glimpse of this in what Shegzdave said about Aproko doctor's video promoting GMO. HE was saying the guy talked so much about the be befits but not enough about the disadvantages. That's why some of the guys on X think Aproko doctor may have been paid to influence pro-GMO discussion without dwelling much on its disadvantages.

Yes I'm aware some of the food we eat have been modified, but u will agree our food have not been modified to the extent of the ones u have over there. From livestock to planted food, there's still some element of natural in what we consume in naija. If not, this discussion about Africa embracing GMO won't be happening.

If you don't mind..

The embolden are general human health problems you will find across the world, the difference is that many of them are either undiagnosed, wrongly diagnosed or a combination of both in Nigeria. The embolden, particularly the latter 2 have more genetic implication than foods. If HBP/ heart related disease runs in a family, every child, irrespective of food choice or lifestyle is inherently at risk as that is a primary risk factor.

Except you are consuming wild hens/ chickens, you are infact eating some form of genetically modified bird. Nigeria still smuggle frozen fishes, turkey and chicken from countries with advanced science and technology in animal husbandry. The chicks that become layers numerous poultries in Nigeria use have been modified in some way, irrespective of how you feed them. The maize and other ingredients that make the feed for these birds have all been genetically modified.
Well, I'm not in the medical line and don't know much about these things. I was only pointing out the general sentiments concerning those health risks and people linking it to how almost everything over there is either geenticaly modified or processed food.

I don't know enough to argue for or against GMO
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by BlueRayDick: 6:10pm On Jul 25, 2025
Roland17:
In addition, Nigeria is the most populous nation in Africa and the 6th most populous nation in the world, but we do not have the requisite food security to match our current population or its projected growth. We need GMO, particularly food crops to help compliment not eradicate the efforts of organic agriculture. For a country that has struggled to integrate large scale mechanized farming across the country, we need GMO to supplement the efforts of our farmers.

Like you rightly put, most food crop we have today have been genetically modified to adapt to changes in environment, pest control/ infestation and population growth. Take Potato for example, do people really think this variant in shape and size is the original potato? Absolutely not. The original wild potato were smaller in size and required more to feed people. So what did humans do? Modify potato to be bigger, that way, it can feed more people with less. The same is true for tomato, corn and other food/ cash crops.

While there are inherent health risks, the benefits far outweigh the disadvantages.
I think the issue most people who are skeptical about the whole GMO thing have is the bolded. Like they keep hearing the benefits outweighs the disadvantages, but in actual sense not much is being said about the advantage.

It's easy to read up on the advantages, but not much discussion is centered around it's disadvantages when it's being discussed.

That in itself leave room for conspiracy theories to germinate

Our farming land are reducing significantly. Remember the places that used to be farms when you were growing up, they are now estates where people are living, the available land is reducing, the land is less fertile due to repeated use yet we are increasing in population

Those conspiracy theorists on X, they are using medicine when sick, they are eating Agric chickens, they are eating imported corn flakes, everything to toothpick, But suddenly they are worried about GMO

That is the way they believed cell phones will kill us, 5G causes covid, Polio vaccine causes infertility. I am sure when cars, cement for houses, aluminum roofing, mechanized farming were introduced to Africa there were conspiracy theorists then too
I don't know anything about GMO o and I cannot argue for or against, but I read up there where you mentioned how genetically modified poultry made it possible for the US to cater for over 300m population who feed on average of 10 billion GMO chicken annually.

Don't u think people arguing against GMO may be worried about the fact that America having a very high number of people with health complications like Obesity,Autism,Dementia, etc may be due to what they consume(Which are majorly GMO)?

[quote author=Shegzdave post=136222016]This is so accurate
‘Do you know who I am?’ is the crux of the discussion😂😂

think this thing in naija is about how exposed the two drivers are o and how cool both parties are

One of my colleagues recently had another driver run into the side of his vehicle when he wanted to change lanes on his way to the office about 2 months ago.

He said immediately he came down the guy was very apologetic and was wiling to take responsibility. The guy later told him he didn't know when he lost concentration because he was partly thinking and partly dozing. His wife was admitted at Federal medical center Ebutte Meta and he's been shuttling between their home on the island and the hospital on the mainland. He has hardly slept in the past 3 days.

My guy just weak. They had a gentlemanly agreement in which my guy waited for the other guy's mechanic to get to the scene and towed the vehicle to his workshop. He had to leave his car for close to a week while the mechanic fixed it. The other guy said he will recover the money from his insurance.

I'm sure if my guy was not a gentleman, he would've burst the other guy's mouth with blow before even hearing anything the guy has to say.

If Okpebholo had a politician like Obi that would donate to education when he was struggling with his WAEC he would have been a better human being.
Monday sat for that WAEC in 2008 as a 38-year-old adult that was most likely doing well financially. He didn't fail WAEC because he was indigent, he failed because he was dull.

Women in their 30s are the sweetest women out there, but the desperation of most of them for marriage is becoming annoying.
It is very simple.

Women have a biological clock that keeps ticking. It is normal for them to try to "settle down" by getting married and having kids before menopause comes calling.

They don't have the luxury of time some men who marry age 40 and above have.

Let me just tell u what I feel about this whole coalition thingy and how the ex-Waziri boys have suddenly found their voice.

Atiku is a northern project that will require massive endorsement of southerners before he can have a shot at the presidency in 2027. There's a general sentiment that it is the south's turn to rule for 8 years uninterrupted and it will take massive endorsement of southerners for Atiku who is not so popular amongst the talikawas in the north to unseat Tinubu.

Atiku has a baggage of alleged corruption scandals hanging over his head as seen in the attached screenshot and it is understandable if the emerging young population who desire a abetter Nigeria don't want to 4ck with him. I mean people born in 2000 who were only 7 years old when he left Aso rock as VP will read some of these things and wonder why they should vote for a man with such scandalous records as 27-year Olds in 2027.

Obi may not be perfect but every decent person with conscience will see he is not cut from the same fabric as Atiku who would loot mindlessly and have his friends and associates getting Nepositic benefits like the incumbent Tinubu.

To answer Ur question, I believe Obi will contest the ADC primary and he will lose to Atiku like u hoped. (At least I've not read it anywhere he said he won't participate in the primary like everyone else).

I want to believe Obi will live up to his word that he will not be VP to anybody and as such, goodluck to Atiku and ADC finding heavyweight VP candidate and at the same time convincing Obi's supoorters to support a 81 year old corrupt ex-VP in 2027. We would be here to watching how Atiku's dirty dollars and "organic supporters" make him president in 2027 🤡
