germaphobe:You get! This is why I actually want to hear from DaveP's mouth what he meant by "Niles' treatment" before I now give my opinion on what actually happened to Niles and his career at Arsenal. |
iamoyindamola:The person go nearly enter depression . Especially if u now see that the people u left at home are making progress in their career and u are still stuck trying to even get shift to pay ur basic bills over there |
AirBere:Hmmm. Ur point is noted, I will respond to this viewpoint later. DaveP is this what u mean or something totally different from this? |
GloriousGbola:Should I burst ur head? My guy said they don't blow those funds on clubbing kan kan, rather they send that money here to Nigeria, doing give away, putting up buildings out of people's sweat. He said they are the people u will hear Chief Imam offering prayers for during Jumat service on Friday because of the donations they made to the mosque. They are people who will buy cows for different Churches here in naija during their church harvest and the prophets will be praying for them "that their business continues to prosper" You will think they are naturally good people who are given to Philanthropy, not knowing they are worse than the devil. |
afrodoc2:Doc, those were good times, or should I say the Carribean is a good place where u guys had the good mind to help each other out. The tales coming of the UK in the last 2-3 years in this current wave of japa is really terrible. A whole lot of people are going through hell. Like people are just exploiting others misfortune. A whole lot of people left good jobs here and somehow got stranded in the UK because they din't know things will be as tough as they met it over there; Yet their fellow Nigerians who have been there for some time still find ways to exploit them. |
iamoyindamola:On the contrary, most people don't know what they are getting into until they get there. Most people are promised shift by all these Nigerian owned agencies, based on this they buy the COS only to get there and discover the agency doesn't have any shift for them. One of my ex-school mate bought COS , she relocated with her husband and for 1 full year the agency didn't give her shift. Imagine not working for one full year in the UK; she was just lucky her husband who was her dependant got a job and was the one sorting their bills for one whole year. In fact, it was her husband that later helped her to secure care job with another agency through the network he built on his own job within that one year. The crazy thing about the care job COS is that u can't work legally in other sectors aside from care. If Nigerians know some of those Nigerian owned care agencies move like that, they wouldn't enter their trap na |
afrodoc2:The person is not his friend o, na like "auntie". You know all these people that ur mum and their mum are friends but the person is much older than u? That's the kind of relationship they had. The way he found out the information was the reason he couldn't tell her. The person that leaked the information to him had him promise not to divulge the source of the information. At some point the "auntie" seized his BRP and passport, he had to fight them to retrieve the documents. It was a serious matter, he thought of reporting them but if he did they will all land back here in Nigeria because those people don't even have genuine papers. Because he didn't want them going about saying the person they helped abroad led to their deportation, he had to just let it slide and accept to be paying them in installment. |
iamoyindamola:But make we no lie, the sellers are actually very wicked to their fellow countryman. I know of someone who was assisted by a "family friend" to procure COS to relocate to London. The family friend is actually very close to him o; I mean this guy's mum and the mum of the person that helped him with the COS are childhood friends from Lagos Island. When he got in, he discovered that the agency that sold the COS actually does not have shifts to give him to enable him earn money and start paying his bills and the cost of COS debt. The person that helped him with COS now told him she bought the COS for 10k with her money and he must refund her ASAP. This guy nearly ran mad because he was under immense pressure, the agency is not assigning shift to him and he has 10k debt on his neck. After dragging the yeye agency for a while and threatening to report them to home office for fraud, they now revealed to him that they sold the COS to his "auntie" for 2.5k and not 10k she was trying to collect from him. In the long run the guy had to go look for another care job sponsorship and transferred to another agency. He had no choice but to start paying the 10k in bits of 500 per month. Imagine someone making a gain of as much as 7.5k on COS that did not even give u shift. That's not trying to survive, that is wickedness. Most Nigerians in the UK wicked gan o. |
iamoyindamola:Our Lawmakers are useless, majority of them are just contented with acting as rubber stamp for the executive and collecting humongous salary. Imagine the IGP literally presenting something totally different from what he submitted to the house and his accomplices are giving him permission to carry on. . Later we will be wondering how former IGPs like Tafa Balogun were able to steal billions right under the nose of the police service commission and the house of assembly. If Nigeria were to be a normal country and the lawmakers reasonable individuals who have the interest of the country at heart, they would make sure they scrutinize whatever this current IGP Egbetokun brings to the house for approval. This is because the guy may jolly well be in the process of arranging a befitting retirement package for himself by hiding some juicy overheads in the police budget. We all know the man was due to retire September 2024 when he clocked 60 but T-Pain in his own wisdom as the Igodomigodo extended his tenure for another 4 years. It's just a shame that the chairman of the committee cares less about optics and just wants to get the session done with as fast as he can. Shame! |
Emaprince:That boy don dribble them tire ![]() |
Emaprince:For real , Southampton been looking like the team that wants it more . |
daveP:I don’t think I understand the Niles treatment , that’s why I am asking . |
Southampton deserves this goal |
daveP:What is the “Niles treatment “ ? |
mostob:The boy ehn…. See as he Carry Sarr like pikin 😂
|
iamoyindamola:Anytime I see Gabriel playing well and getting deserved recognition, I'm always glad I defended his purchase back then we were discussing Attack vs Defence . The way Kokane dey rubbish am that year ehn.....one would've thought Gabriel is as calamitous as Mustafi and Sokratis ni. I'm very happy Gabriel has turned out to be one of the best CBs in the league. Nowadays even when Saliba is caught napping, Gabriel is always there to help him keep the backline safe |
![]() Why Ibime swallow P like this ? |
mostob:Calafiori's injury is a big blessing to this Skelly boy and he's not joking with the opportunity at all. The fact that he's endearing himself to the fans already will make him really settle well into becoming a player the fans love. It is surprising that the club is not even thinking of sending him on loan but giving him a shot at competing with first team players in a big club like Arsenal. With time he might get moved to midfield, but that will be dependent on what becomes of our Carabao cup journey after the second league vs Newcastle |
mostob:That is what we expect from Martinelli and not just relying on his pace every now and then. Martinelli is slowly turning into Man Utd's Valencia whom we nicknamed "One-Way" back then because of how predictable his wing play was. Every defender that faces him knows he just wants to try and outpace u and cross the ball into the box. He's never going to dribble and cut the ball indside to his weaker foot. Trossard being able to use both legs to take shots is a big big plus and will always make it easy for him to end players' careers with those kinds of embarrassing dribbles. |
Imagine both Ben White and Skelly on the pitch riling opponents off ![]() It will be total fun to watch both trouble makers do their thing at the same time |
Dem say Palmer just Dey update him CV steady , if company like make dem no make profit at the end of the accounting year ![]()
|
iamoyindamola:That Graelish na king of Shaku shaku. I just thank God we never thought of signing him back then when he flattering to deceive at Aston Villa. |
iamoyindamola:Halleluyah to the Lord for opening ur spiritual eyes to see ![]() Oya help me tell Koded to also drop that line of thought that Rice is not better than Elneny On a serious note, Rice plays really well more than a typical English player and he can run ehn |
In Case You Missed It : Yesternight Trossard dribble Pedro Porro to injury 😎
|
chidekings:Which real fans? Do u know since when I've been following Akpi on IG? I've been following him on IG long before he even got popular, back then when he was on the same cadre with Vic O. I've watched his shows back then in America when he was still living inside his benz , playing at night clubs in front of empty chairs. That was long before he even came to Nigeria and linked up with dem Kogbagidi, Zlatan and co. Even when he came to Nigeria , he's been playing at lounges looking like beer parlor here and there. Shey na that person get real fans? How many of his shows u know person wey don go before? Most people just get amused listening to his song because of the comic relief his song brings and that's that. I raise u that if Akpi organizes a concert and Odumeje organizes a concert in the same city, Odumeje will sold out while Akpi will nearly beg people with his show ticket. |
izzou:In fact, I wonder how he will pay his lawyers who have been helping him to write petition since. It's not even like he has real fans who will donate massively for him. Most of the fans he has are just people who are amused by his trolling music career. Even if they win the civil case against IGP , before they get compensation from FG sfe Akpi fit don turn grandfather ![]() |
obainojazz:Akpi that is always performing empty chairs ![]() |
Spy360:A player who was brought in to sort our goals problem but has consistently messed up chances after chances is not worst signing; if he's not , then who is ? Popular opinion as how? I watch Havertz every week in Arsenal colors , I do not only watch the matches live but also watch replays when SuperSports show replay few days after the match. Havertz was poor at Chelsea and still poor at Arsenal. Most of the goals he scores for us , Nketiah would score them and even more without us having to pay him huge salaries. I say Havertz is our worst signing because we signed a player that misses chances more than he scores for 65 million and earns almost 300k as weekly salary ; making him the highest paid player at Arsenal. I know you like Havertz(for reasons best known to you) , but those of us who are not emotionally attached to him just have to say things the way they are; Havertz joining us did not improve our team as it should. I hope the club signs another frontman and give such player chance, u will see how much Havertz's signing has drawn us back. |
Spy360:I know what a false 9 is and I know what the role of a false 9 is. If u are being honest with urself , u will know that Havertz plays is more advanced than the normal traditional false 9. Havertz’s role is more advanced than what Fabregas played for Spain when they had Xavi, Iniesta and Busquets in midfield and he had to play false 9. Most of our chances fall to Havertz after Saka and or Martinelli must have done their part in taking out one or two defenders . Havertz somehow always fails to convert those chances ; this is a regular occurrence in his game and not just a one-off thing . This happens in almost all the games he plays for us; for every goal he scores he would’ve missed 2 or more . We all know if Saka, Martinelli , Odegaard or Trossard were to be playing in that his advanced role they would have more goals than he does . Converting few out of the numerous chances that drops at his feet doesn’t make him a good signing at all. |
We really need to get busy in the transfer market . A striker and a proper winger will not be bad at all. |
2-1 it ends ! North London Forever ! |
Gabriel should be man of the match . |
