izzou: ![]() When one talks about these things, people who support/defend government always think one is exaggerating or embellishing stories just to paint the government bad. There is serious insecurity on the highways both day and night, so may unpoliced/underpoliced corridors on Nigerian highways where non state actors operate without much disturbance from security agents. Like you rightly said, the best way of ensuring safety while traveling is to fly; unfortunately, majority of Nigerians can't afford the high cost of flight ticket. |
A40:But in a country like Nigeria , na problem for u too that fired the shot na |
A40:I don’t really know what makes women always flock around musicians sha . Is it the fame or the perception that musicians have money or what exactly ? |
GloriousGbola:The funny thing is he would arrest a young guy for using the same iPhone his own salary can clearly not afford . Nigeria is not a real place |
GloriousGbola:It’s just annoying , NDLEA and Police that arrest real dangerous criminals don’t even go about breaking people’s door gun blazing . These EFCC people are the one who go about being estate security , raiding hotels and parking both guilty and innocent people . The funny thing is most of the real yahoo boys get normally arrest , they usually free them after collecting their cars and emptying their account balance . A friend told me about his younger brother who is a yahoo boy and was arrested ; they collected his Lexus , laptop and emptied his account . After about two months of back and forth , the guy was released . Funny thing is the guy came out of EFCC net and became a more hardened Yahoo boy who now goes about with police escort and Hilux . I learnt he bought a car worth 125 million naira this last December . So u see that the so called crime they are fighting sef , they are not really fighting it to curb the crime but to take out of the largesses of the primary criminals |
GloriousGbola:Can u imagine . So the Salisu guy died just for them to arrest a doctor who does coding as side hustle ? 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️ These people are just mad . While Bosun Tijani the minister for communication and digital economy is trying to have more youth trained in coding and other tech skills , these ones are arresting someone for using his laptop for coding . EFCC na just anyhow organization . They seem to be duller than the police sef |
raumdeuter:But a family’s breadwinner is dead no thanks to a citizen owning gun in his home 🤷♂️ |
GloriousGbola:From all indications , the guy’s family is rich . They will definitely get some of the best criminal defence lawyers and the case will drag like mad. I think the family of the dead EFCC guy should sue EFCC for being responsible for their son’s death . Shebi it’s the same EFCC that released statement last year that they have banned all night operations/night raid . Maybe they don’t even know the implication of some of those things . By releasing that statement publicly , they were telling all members of the public that anybody claiming to be EFCC official and carrying out a night raid is definitely not their officer or carrying out such raid illegally . The medical doctor gunning him down was his way of treating them as criminals since their oga at the top already said they are banned from doing night raids . If Nigeria was a country where things are done in the right way , then heads should roll within the agency . The ogas at the zones and state levels who sanctioned the raid in violation of the ban placed on night raids by the head of EFCC should be dismissed . They should use this case to reform the commission once and for all. How can officers be going rogue and then the commission will issue press statement still siding with those officers ? |
Useless statement that lacks any iota of truthfulness . The family of the deceased EFCC officer had better sued the commission for compensation for the death of their breadwinner . A year ago the same commission put out a bold statement placing a total ban on night raids involving all their officers nationwide . By virtue of that press release they made it clear to members of the public that anybody raiding ur home in the dead on the night is definitely not an EFCC official and as such the members of the public shouldn’t treat them as one . Now someone who owns a licensed gun saw people jumping the fence into his home and decides to deal with them as one would do criminals and not law enforcement agents . Suddenly the EFCC is refusing to address that in this their useless press release . I know they will end up planting evidence on the medical doctor’s laptop , but the man’s lawyer will definitely get forensic experts to prove EFCC wants to rope him after he took out the officers who trespassed on his property . The good thing is that the guy is not a common poor man on the street but a man with means and resources . To think that when Yahaya Bello whom they had “evidence” against was holed up in Kogi State government’s house they never had the liver to scale the fence and try to arrest him, it’s only against the ordinary citizens they always disregard every decency and act like criminals . Shior ! |
Raumdeuter the chief pro-gun advocate has not addressed the EFCC incident at Anambra since yesterday . I’m interested in his perspective on this matter . I just read this evening that the homeowner who shot the EFCC guy dead is actually a Medical Doctor and not a Yahoo boy as falsely claimed by EFCC in their official statement yesterday . So the EFCC guys jumped into the guy’s home wearing plain clothes , the medical doctor mistook them for robbers/kidnappers and gunned them down with a licensed gun belonging to his father . |
iamoyindamola:That are hired assassin niyen o |
I talk am say this De Ligt na pant . Accepted Onana was being Onana by spilling that cross that led to the 3rd goal , but a more responsive CB in place of De Ligt would’ve helped in ballooning the ball into the crowd before the Brighton player could get to the ball . |
iamoyindamola:The Robin Hood of EPL 😂 |
What shall it profit man utd to laugh heartily when rival teams play out draw and they proceed to lose scandalously to middle table teams the next day while gnashing their teeth ? 🤷♂️
|
Ibime:They shot the guy and still axed his head . I mentioned it the other day that what Fisayo was doing is very dangerous and may put him in serious danger . I don’t even know apart from him , he is putting others in serious danger as well
|
GloriousGbola:You put it succinctly, Burnaboy is channeling his inner 50 cent . He’s trolling the hell out of Cubana Chiefpriest simply because he can and has the financial wherewithal to do so. It’s because Nigerians are not used to these things , that’s why they are getting emotional and writing lengthy paragraphs about Burnaboy who is obviously trolling the Owerri Rick Ross ![]() Imagine 50 cent’s level of pettiness |
KingTom: ![]() Nigeria police just yeye anyhow |
iamoyindamola:That’s the problem , they always profile people once u drive exotic car u are a fraudster until they shake u up and can’t find any evidence . Even when get shake u up and don’t find evidence , they won’t even apologize , they act as if u should understand that all Nigerians are criminals so if u are not one that’s ur headache . 🤦♂️ That was how one stupid police man stopped me recently and was asking for different vehicle papers , I just carry the whole documents in a bunch and handed it over to him. He spent a lot of time going through it one after the other , only for him to see everything is in order . He was sha looking the car and trying to look for something to extort me ; he now asked if it was my car or someone else’s. I just didn’t answer him but instead showed him my ID card. When he saw it, he now said ; “Sorry sir, u can go sir “ . I’m sure if it was in the night he will look for something to sha hold me |
GloriousGbola:There’s still firearm License in Nigeria o, no let dem whine u o. https://ica.ng/comprehensive-guide-on-the-process-and-procedure-of-acquiring-a-gun-license-in-nigeria-2024/ |
Iamoyindamola see a summary of the EFCC incident according to a twitter user . The EFCC guy just died in vain cos if this is true and the shooter turns out not to be Yahoo boy but an ordinary citizen with connection , he will walk free after some time . I read that the EFCC guy that died is about to get married . Most likely dem Dey go raid to hustle for cash he wan go use shut down wedding
|
GloriousGbola:You are not wrong , most of those raids are mostly unauthorized . In my personal opinion , I think EFCC being an offshoot of Nigerian police picked up some stupiiid operational procedures of Nigerian police and added it to theirs . You know the typical way of DPO / Area Commander handing over patrol vans to ASPs who then coordinate how Sergeants, Corporals, private and Inspectors go on raid arresting people at random, shaking them down for bail and the junior officers remitting weekly to their ogas; I have a feeling this same thing is happening within EFCC. It appears their respective zonal offices deploy officers to go on random raids in hotels , private residences , estates and anywhere they perceive anybody with substantial cash will be . They ordinarily assume anybody they come across is a criminal and they treat them as such . When they break down ur door, ransack ur house , frisk u and don out u are legit ; they just leave u with a broken door and damaged properties while moving to or next neighbour to mete out that same treatment to him hoping he will be a yahoo boy or has something to hide which they can take him in for . Ordinarily if Nigeria were to be a normal country this Anambra incident should be a call for EFCC to review its operations and and opportunity for the leadership of the commission to have a serious hold on the activities of their zonal offices . The head of EFCC should make sure that any set of officers reported by the public to still be carrying out such shakeups will be summarily dismissed and further tried in criminal court . You will be surprised at how this nonsense will stop . However Nigeria being Nigeria , I know everybody will start focusing on the fact that a citizen shot at a law enforcement agent . They will suggest EFCC with the combined effort of other law enforcement agents and military to crack down on residents of that area both the innocent ones and the criminals . Some people would even be focusing on the State and region it happened as if same cannot happen in their own neighborhood too |
iamoyindamola:Those EFCC are just foolish and unreasonable in their operations . I’ve been seeing several videos online of estates and private residence where they go , break down people’s doors/gates while trying to gain unauthorized access . Most times their behavior is more of thieves than that of law enforcement agent. I know some people might not like this , but I think the actions of the house owner was justified . Like u rightly said Anambra is battling with serious insecurity , it’s not a state a law enforcement agent should be trying to break into people’s house in the dead of the night when one would think they are robbers or kidnappers ( they don’t even dress differently from kidnappers sef ). We’ve heard of kidnappers disguising as police sometimes soldiers to kidnap unsuspecting members of the public . |
Dem don knack EFCC officers shot where they were carrying out their usual illegal breaking-in into people’s home.

Ibime:I think it was 2021 after COVID-19 they opened the care visa route where u will get a 3 year Visa and u will work for the agency that gives u COS all through that period before u will renew same. |
GloriousGbola:Oh…. ![]() He wants to be collecting government salary till old age . Good riddance of bad rubbish ; they should try him in court and retrieve all the salary he has collected behind his original retirement date |
iamoyindamola:They didn't say anything linking the suspension to the video. The news is kinda confusing sha |
Ibime:I don't think the carer job is the issue, rather it is the Nigerians who own care agencies that provide immigrant care workers to the care homes in the UK. According to my guy, he said these Nigerian-owned agencies may give out 10 COS to different Nigerians knowing fully well that the requests they have from their principal may just be for 4 workers for the meantime. So they bring in 10 people whom they sell COS to, fix 4 people and keep promising the remaining 6 people shift . When u start getting frustrated, they will advise u to look for any other agency that is willing to give u free COS so they can swap their COS. More like they only helped u to get into the country with a care visa and then leave u stranded to start hustling for job which they ought to provide for u. It gets worse. My guy shared a video with me; In that video a man who happens to be one of the Nigerians selling COS was having a video call meeting with the people he brought in. The man said he wants to break a news to them before they start hearing about it outside. Home office has revoked his license and by virtue of that everyone he brought in are at risk of being returned to Nigeria unless they get a job that comes with sponsorship within few days (I can't remember if it was 30 days or 60 days). If u see the way all of them were shocked and scared because they paid as much 10k, 12k for the COS; some had to sell properties at home to buy the COS. Meanwhile this man just delivered the news to them without any remorse. In the video they were asking him what will happen now? He said they should allow him sleep first jare that tomorrow morning he will get back to them , but he advise them to start looking for jobs and telling anybody they know that they need jobs with sponsorship. Nigerians wey dey tey for that una UK get mind gan o, dem just dey run people street with strong eye |
iamoyindamola:Which video is that? |
Roland17:It's a dog eat dog out there. |
iamoyindamola:What did the guy do? Which kind yeye News Sahara reporter publish sef? They said he was suspended but didn't say anything about why he was suspended. |
TemporaryHansel:I think there's Sportybet in Ghana, but I don't know of other African countries sha |
