I was surprised they actually think it is Amotekun that is keeping the South west together. Even earlier this year Ondo that had Amotekun experienced serious rampaging by the terrrrorists.

Baba, me and u know that the idea of Governors being CSO of their states is fallacy. I can agree to the suggestion of the governor partnering with the police like we have RRS in Lagos or fund civilian JTF work alongside the military; but I don't buy the idea of paramilitary guys going to face terrorrrists with automatic rifles. What is the essence of setting up a paramilitary u won't be able to arm? The fact that Governors in the middlebelt/north central did not set up paramiliatry outfits and arm them with pump action guns shows they know they are dealing with real terrrorissts. It is the armed forces under the command of the president that can face terrrorrists.

Whether we like it or not, Tinubu was right back then when he said the buck stops at his table as far as security is concerned. For starters we have DSS and NIA which are supposed to be our intelligence agencies. What intelligence report have they passed to the president concerning the reoccurring mass murderrr going on in that state ? What are the actions the president has taken based on those intelligence reports?

The truth is vigilantes/paramilitary organizations cannot face terrorrisssts weilding automatic weapons.

I don't think the issue is political, rather I think it is terrorissssm which is being hastily dismissed as communal clash. The fact that it is summarily dismissed as a communal clash in some places and famer-herders' crisis in some other parts of the middlebelt makes it easy for the perpetrators to get away with the heinous crime.

I mentioned it here that voting for APC in the 2023 was rewarding the party that produced Buhari(a failure) with another 8 years , yet people went ahead to vote same APC into power. The fact that he's acknowledging that he's just being briefed after the pope had commented on it shows he is not on top of anything as the GCFR.
