I used to have some of those practice questions and answers in my mail too but since I had long passed that stage of writing aptitude tests and most of the people I encouraged too passed that stage , I don’t have them any longer . I’m sure if he ransack the jobs/vacancy section on Nairaland he will be able to get some of those materials . |

Shegzdave: The reason for redeploying is so as to finish My ICAN exams Good ! While writing ur exams , do well to watch out for graduate trainee programs of EY, KPMG, Deloitte , PWC , Accessbank , UBA , Coronation Merchant bank , Heirs Holdings , etc . Apply to as many of those companies , make sure u write as many aptitude tests as u can and attend as many interviews as u can . While ur mates are stuck in some village teaching some primary/secondary school subject that adds little or no value to them , u are actively navigating ur way in the labour market . And u might be fortunate to land a good paying job before or by the end of ur service year. Due to the the serious issues in the Nigerian labor market , it is advisable u start early . |

In fact , while in camp start processing ur redeployment . The only advice I can give any graduate posted outside Lagos, Rivers , FCT , etc where things Dey happen and headquarters of companies are located is to relocate back to Lagos and start the job search journey earlier . I consider spending one full year teaching or working in an LGA council in a place like Plateau or any other part of the north , east , southwest , etc a complete waste of one year. If u are Lagos within that service year , u will have an advantage over ur peers in the sense that u can apply for graduate trainee roles , internship and other entry level roles while ur mates are busy focusing on teaching in one obscure village . If u are lucky , u may even get job while still observing ur service year. If I had known this during my own time , I wouldn’t had wasted that full service year teaching , eating and sleeping . |

LordAdam16: Blue, the Global South and the Golden Billion (North America + Europe + AU/NZ) are on a collision course. It's set in stone.
Nigeria is hanging out with the BRICS crowd because it is and will remain the premier geopolitical forum of the Global South. We have no choice. Even Chile, an OECD country and firmly keyed into the Western economic system is seeking entry.
These are the fundamentals. So when we made the decision to get in, Aso Rock had done the calculus on risk and what not. The potential of a future hawkish POTUS has been factored in. It'll be bewildering if we didn't take that into account.
Now, with Trump as #47, and this applies to any other confrontational POTUSes, it's all about deft skill in geopolitics. India, Brazil, and UAE are not going to be treated as harshly as China or Iran. All are BRICS members. Brazil needs the West for Embraer. Ambani, India's richest man, was at Trump's inauguration. We want carve outs and if we play our cards right, we'll get them. Essentially, it's not as much about BRICS as a group, but what we narrowly do via our bilateral ties with the West. Else, we'll sleepwalk into a b100% tariff while even China is getting exemptions. We'll be the example dangled about as a cautionary tale while the ringleaders with more cachet get a slap on the wrist. That's how Biden enacted global chip export restrictions and an ally like Poland (third largest military in NATO after US and Turkey) got shafted.
That's the danger.
I'm not that concerned about it because Tinubu is a failure but not an id**t. It'll take a monumental screwup for that worse case scenario to come to fruition.
A 100% tariff will hurt us. Trump wants all of the Global South to perform a pilgrimage like less powerful nation states did when a new Shahanshah, Caesar, or Qing Emperor came on the scene. Essentially, tell me why you shouldn't have a target on your back.
In Trumpian fashion, the delivery is bombastic; but it will happen with most POTUSes going forward because BRICS has the potential to be a check on the US's socioeconomic influence. The folks at Washington simply cannot have that.
The chip export restriction I mentioned earlier shows that this is the bipartisan way the US plans to relate with an increasingly economically vibrant Global South. Biden dropped the hammer and I don't think Trump will rescind the executive action. I've been looking into a hobbyist rig to natively run open source AI models. It could become a serious challenge to future-proof the setup because the richer second-world countries will set up shell companies in third world countries to buy and redirect our quotas. If the rest of the world can't get the GPUs, we can't create service exports in an emerging industry that'll define human civilization. Probably worse than a tariff even.
So, it's not like this is not something we have to think about. Or it's exclusive to Trump, ergo it's peculiar and a more run-off-the-mill POTUS wouldn't put us on notice. Frankly, things are headed in a direction where we'll ultimately either be a target or collateral damage. No in-between. Might as well be a target; there's safety in numbers. We play the game and deal with the fallout.
-Lord So basically America still wants to be the one calling the shots . And they will use divide and rule to keep BRICS members in check . |

I don't understand as I have been reading for years that our crude is not in demand any more.
And I cannot reconcile those numbers with our current fortunes
But most importantly - what are we exporting to the US outside of oil and virtual labor? I think China , USA and India are the top export destination for our crude oil. I learnt Nigeria's crude is one of the finest there is out there and that's why the US buys from us in addition to the various grades they have. |

People like that will always find it difficult to believe that there are people who earn decently well doing almost the same thing they do in their workplace. I remember going from Benin to Okada for outreach
Lol.
Lol.
Guyman, them go stop your motor, dey for road there begin negotiate ransom. Where you wán go?
Abi na when I go Gusau, when Abuja-Kaduna express was still the HQ of banditry in Nigeria?
After Funtua in Katsina state, upon entering Zamfara before you reach Gusau, e get where you go drive for up to 30 minutes, na grassland and shrub you go deh see both sides of the road. Like if person dey chase you, you go run reach horizon e go still dey see you because nowhere to hide.
At some point, our vehicle stopped, and every fuckinngg person got down to push it until we saw human beings again.
When I was going to camp, we got to Wukari from Port Harcourt at around 8pm. A convoy of over 17 full vehicles heading to Jalingo and Yola.
The drivers, ALL OF WHOM WERE NORTHERN MUSLIMS, talk say them no dey go again o
Say anything wey do us no concern them.
No worry. Travelling inside Nigeria by road na extreme sport. Na God dey keep person. I can relate to the bold. The vegetation in the north is crazy especially during the dry season; there's nowhere to hide in case u even say u want to run from kidnappers/bandits/robbers. Most of the green plants/weeds would've dried off due to the harsh weather such that the person pursuing u can see u clearly far ahead. There's no bush u can hide sef. Some streams usually dry up during dry season, u won't even know there's a stream there. U can travel for 30 mins and not see a single house, just low grown shrubs by the side of the road. Looking back now, we were really lucky we served at a time when there was no banditry/terrorism in the northwest o. Because I remember how we will leave our school to go watch champions league on Tuesdays & Wednesdays between 8.45pm and 10.30pm . We will start trekking from the viewing center which is in the heart of the village to where our school is located in an isolated part of the village's outskirts. Sometimes we get to school around 11.30 /to 12 am. We would even be gisting while trekking by the side of the road to our school; it's usually 4 of us Corpers who really liked football like that - two Arsenal fans and two Chelsea fans. To think all those places are now ravaged by Bandits and even foreign terrorists. |

We passed through Okada.
We drove for like 10 minutes and there was no oncoming vehicle or bike. No human being. No body walking. No checkpoint. Just farms and forest.
The driver said the road is usually like that. If dem kidnap you there, no need to enter bush. Na for under one tree there dem go begin make calls for ransom. Lonely is an understatement when describing that road
When I was coming back, I passed from Sabo to Oluku junction....Make I no make the same mistake, abeg.
The funny thing is there are places like that in the Southwest, South South, North West, North East, South East, etc. The few places soldiers and policemen mount road blocks, they just use them to extort motorist and then leave after some hours. When I was serving in the NorthWest, one guy that came from Maiduguri told us about how nobody dares travel the Maiduguri highway once it is 4pm because the entire stretch of the road belongs to Boko Haram that time till the next morning. Not even military convoy will dare use the road within that period |

If you want safety, The airport is your only option.
You cannot be traveling by road, and scheming how safe you want to go. Broad daylight, dem go carry you and nothing go happen.
All the GIG and GUO buses that were involved was broad daylight.
Before I travel, I make up my mind and pray to whatever God I serve. As in...... There are some places u will get to while travelling on naija road and u know in ur mind that if anything happens in such places there's nothing that can save u even in road daylight. I believe most of the kidnapping incidents happening on the roads are even under-reported. There are so many buses not GUO,GIG , peace mass transit, etc that gets waylaid on the road and they don't get reported in mainstream media |

Nigeria is not safe. All the kidnappings you are reading online is mostly in the day...Under Korokoro sun.
If truly we want a higher chance of safety, just fly. When one talks about these things, people who support/defend government always think one is exaggerating or embellishing stories just to paint the government bad. There is serious insecurity on the highways both day and night, so may unpoliced/underpoliced corridors on Nigerian highways where non state actors operate without much disturbance from security agents. Like you rightly said, the best way of ensuring safety while traveling is to fly; unfortunately, majority of Nigerians can't afford the high cost of flight ticket. |
