raumdeuter: ![]() From one absurdity to another! I hope you know Vehicle license plates are not transferrable in Nigeria...So because you are relocating to another state you will remove your current license plate and apply for another one for a base rate of 30k at least( Cost of processing is not inclusive o). Don't you see how absurd it sounds? |
raumdeuter:We are calling out his absurd takes here; his academic and career achievement has no bearing on the matter at hand. His opinion on this matter is far from being bright. He doesn't have power as a state governor to overrule a federal Act. Simple! |
raumdeuter:Nobody say make u question anybody's academic brilliance. Being academic brilliant does not give anybody immunity from being questioned when their idea seems out of place and not in tandem reasonability. Even if person get 20 PhDs and his idea seem out of place, his academic qualifications does not give him a pass from being called out. |
raumdeuter: ![]() The kind fantasy you are living in your mind ehn.... He said "It's easier for government to do". Whether they advertise plate number or not, a state government does not have the powers to stop anybody from using any other state's license plate on the state road. According to FRSC Act 2007 you can use any license plate from any state nationwide irrespective of the state you are resident in. A bright mind should know that and not be talking as if there's anything he can do to change something entrenched in a Federal law. Even if he decides to compel Oyo state of assembly to draft a law to ban Vehicles of residents carrying other state's license plate on Oyo road, the FRSC act will supersede the state law when it is tested in court. |
raumdeuter:"Kundus" for for you and same for him. |
izzou:Like….. the idea does not even appear to be something formed in a bright mind at all. Maybe he task Amotekun to be arresting anybody who has a vehicle with Lagos number plate parked in their compound . Abi ? 🤷♂️ |
GloriousGbola:I think he just feels he must defend anything that comes out of Adelabu’s mouth since he’s his candidate. |
raumdeuter:Whether u reside in the state or not, a governor cannot unilaterally compel residents of the state the license plate your car will carry . Abi he wants to write a personal FRSC Act by himself for Oyo state ? No be everything u supposed Dey defend o |
izzou:I think the guy was probably having a debate and just needed to say something at that point in time . I don’t want to believe what in that video is an original thought which he actually believes in and intends to carry out . I mean how does a governor ban citizens from using license plate of other states before they can use their vehicles in his state ? Where will he draw the power to effect such ban ? Even if he compels the house of assembly to sponsor a bill to that effect and have him sign it into law; anybody can take the case to court and the law will be trashed by court judgement . It makes no sense at all….. |
raumdeuter:Lmao 😂 What constitutional powers does he have as a governor to stop people with another state’s vehicle license plate from plying Oyo state road ? I thought you said the guy is bright . |
izzou: ![]() Na why I wan understand wetin Geometric power do as per the link he dropped. Maybe I'm missing something sha |
GloriousGbola:But this does not explain the Geometric Power plant connection you were trying to make in your previous post now. Is FG subsidizing Geometric power plant currently ? |
GloriousGbola:I want to get the point you are trying to make here; Where did you read that anybody is subsidizing the geometric power plant? For all we know it is an independent power generating & distribution company that makes power available to industrial and individual customers. There's absolutely nothing wrong with debt financing ; I'm yet to read anywhere that Afrexim bank is raising alarm about Geometric power plant not being able to service their loan facility. So where exactly is the issue? |
germaphobe:One thing I noticed is that we have fans who are emotionally attached to some players , maybe because of the hype surrounding such players or just personal sentiments sha. Even when we perform well without such player in the lineup, they would still want the coach to find a way to squeeze him in and make gold out of dust. Below is one of the instances Gyokeres was actually fed but his first touch , second touch and his inability to make a run at goal with ball at his feet led to him missing a very sweet chance. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KWCxH85GGz8?si=PxlSs4JkulqNXHs3 When we point these things out, it's not because we want to blame the player exonerate Arteta for whatever the eventual outcome of the game would be, but just to put things into context . I agree with you that Gyokeres should be doing better with his big frame and not let average defenders silent him in crucial matches. |
iamoyindamola:No, he was not starved. He missed chances like most strikers under pressure to prove a point. That being said, it appears he has improved in his runs and positioning over time as the season progressed. I believe he will get even better when he finally click with the team. |
germaphobe:Personally I am indifferent about Gyokeres; I don't have any sentimental attachment to him. All those times some fans were running agenda that he's being starved of passes in the final third, I didn't read any meaning to it at all because as someone who played football I can see that most times his positioning is suspect. He was also struggling to flow with the game maybe because of the pace of EPL compared to the Portuguese league. However, I want to believe he will come out good with time. He just needs to keep improving and hold his head up high. To be fair to him, he's like the only striker doing better compared to all the strikers/forward signed by the top EPL teams this season. If injury doesn't come knocking at his door, he should be in blistering form next season. |
GloriousGbola:Illegally re-entering the US after previously being deported is actually a felony. You can look it up. This particular deportation by ICE is justified according to the department of homeland's account of the man's criminal history. |
HansiBobo:Do you think because his daughter is a Naval personnel he should be allowed to continue to live in the states despite committing multiple felonies after deportation in the past? DHS noted he had been previously convicted of DUI and unauthorized use of a vehicle, had been removed from the United States four times before, and had “chose to commit multiple felonies by illegally reentering our country on numerous occasions.” The statement concluded with a stern warning: “Under President Trump… if you break the law, you will face the consequences. Criminal illegal aliens are not welcome in the US.”Do you think immunity should cover him simply because his daugther is fighting in a war overseas? |
larride:So is there a possibility Tinubu will select his preferred candidate or he will let things play out in a free primary featuring both frontliners? |
raumdeuter:Early this month I heard on a Yoruba news on radio that his constituents are revolting against Akin Alabi returning to the house of assembly. They say they want someone else to represent them in Abuja. |
raumdeuter:Issokay. |
daveP:Which emergency are u talking about? Lewis-Skelly was handed a starting shirt Vs Bayern Munich when Arteta could've started Calafiori or Hincapie ahead of him if truly it's because of the new guy's he's getting benched as you claim. Guess what? He gave a very woeful performance. That was not the only match he had his chance but messed up this season. If you expect the manager to keep fielding him because sentiments or as a reward for his performance last season, then that means you are really not ready for this team to win something. As for me, I don't care if any young or old player starts or gets benched, the koko is for the team to win something. I don't have any sentimental attachment to players who would jump ship anytime. I have learnt from some of our players that we fans supported through tough times in their career only for them to dump the club when it matters most. |
daveP:We can blame Arteta for anything, but I will never blame him for not using Lewsi-Skelly . That boy was abysmal in the matches he was given chance and no serious manager challenging for titles will think of introducing him in key matches where everything is at stake. All those talks about the youngest anti-press player is past glory bro. He has been out of sorts this season and do not inspire any confidence at all from my own point of view. Maybe when we clinch the title and don't have much at stake any longer I will support call for him to get more playing time sha. He has been unserious |
raumdeuter:But Wike is a career politician and u support him now. |
raumdeuter:I don't even know the Alli guy, maybe he's a grassroots guy Sha... Maybe that's why the party members prefer him |
larride:Oh really? Didn't know they do that in Ogun state o. The first prominent case of such practise was this current Oniru of Iru land whose mum is from the Royal family and the father is not. |
larride:You mean his grandfather is originally from Lagos and his grandmother from Ewekoro? So, his father became king in Ewekoro via the grandmother's influence? |
larride:Yeah, except Abiru is assured of the governorship seat leaving the senate seat vacant for Ambode; he no really get any elective position of note available for him at all. Maybe Tinubu may give him a political appointment post 2027 elections sha. Nothing is impossible with these politicians. |
WhoDeyHause:If Ambode goes to open primaries without being selected as consensus candidate by powers that be, he will lose scandalously irrespective of whatever amount he pays delegates. I think there are people within the party who feels their money dey Ambode hand and the only way they can collect it is to make him spend it for a primary he won't win. I feel those are the people pushing him to come out and contest. If he is wise, he should just beg for Senate ticket and go retire for Senate like most ex-governors from other states do. |
GloriousGbola:Yeah, Over the weekend I had a discussion with a senior man who rolls with the political class in Lagos and he said Ambode's mess up long gan. He said it is even beyond the whole PSP saga sef. For example he talked about the rams and gifts the state government buys for some big political figures, members of the clergy, some powerbrokers in the state who work behind the scene etc. He said Ambode just stopped those things abruptly. Like he really stepped on many toes and that was why nobody really stood with him when he fell out with Tinubu. He was isolated. Even his fellow civil servants (particularly the senior ones like directors of ministries and perm secs) really didn't find his administration enjoyable at all. He was once one of them then decided to foreclose every means through which they "settle" themselves the moment he became the governor. |
germaphobe:Yeah, I want to believe most of players withdrawing from their respective national team duty during this international break is a signal that they are locking in for the next 7 games and want to see things through without any significant distraction. All they just need do is win as much as 6 out of the outstanding 7 games and results will cancel insult finally. I want to see those players smile after the pain of failure in the past 2 to 3 years. I believe they have what it takes to do it. Make we just focus on our own games and not concern ourselves with city ; if they like let them be winning 13-0 each match going forward. |
WhoDeyHause:Ambode made a lot of enemies within and outside the APC. He was a working governor, but politics may make his comeback almost impossible sha except Tinubu decides to gift him the ticket to the chagrin of some party members who still have score to settle with Ambode. |
