monerozi5590:Show workings and stop chatting gibberish. The company I currently work with sells one of the major agricultural inputs in Nigeria to the north and we sell at premium price down there. No compromise on price. Tell us private companies that hand u guys free agricultural inputs at no cost to u. Let us know the limited liability companies acting as charity organizations doling out freebies to u at no cost to u at the end of the day. If Government doesn't support agriculture in the north u think u would be able to grow anything in those arid lands? |
monerozi5590:U are chatting gibberish . Just last week an Islamic was trying to justify why northerners who got anchor borrowers loan should not return the loan they got from government for the purpose of agriculture . Guess what ? Ribadu the NSA one of ur most educated was sitting down there sheepishly laughing instead of telling the ignorant cleric and his audience that not repaying a loan in itself is fraud . Do y think we don't read news ? Do u think we are unaware of the so many FG funded and even United Nations FAO intervention projects that has funded agriculture in the north ? See ur mouth like " 4ck Government " ![]() Like say ur state governments that buy tractors , subsidize fertilizers etc would've been able to do all of that if the revenue from oil sales was not shared to them. How many northern states make enough IGR without allocation from FG from sales of southern oil , FMCG like alcohol ur Hisbah people destroy every eke market day , etc ? No let me enter u people o ![]() |
monerozi5590:So now it's not about the north again , it's about Hausa guys ? So Hausas don't do yahoo ? Hausas don't do any type of fraud ? Hausas don't engage in other forms of vices/crime ? Whether u decide to embrace it or not, u are just a tribal bigot who would say all sort of nonsense to defend his kind while throwing insult at other people . U find it offensive that that southerners generalize all Hausa guys are docile and not-so-smart hence the tag " aboki "; but same u is quick to call all southerners "yahoo boys " . Smh. U are quick to generalize when it suits u but do not want generalization applied to ur own kind when southerners talk about beggars , almajiri , etc . U never know wetin dey do u. Just look at u giving Ganduje a pass because he's a politician . If u are comfortable with ur politician having a video online showing him receiving bribe and he's walking freely in northern Nigeria till date ; no surprise the Hausa guys who practice " dignity in labour" don't want to return anchor borrowers money . Smh |
GloriousGbola:It's more like this man's instincts saved him. The part where he said he walked up to Wigwe and asked him " how comfortable are u flying a chopper at night " says it all. In my opinion , the PA doesn't feel it's safe to fly chopper at night but being a very wise guy who knows how to massage ego of high and mighty in the society without sounding offensive or impulsive ( which is what will even get u a job as PA of someone like Wigwe ) ; he strategically excused himself from flying in the chopper by suggesting he goes with the luggage . That was why Wigwe think his idea was brilliant cos he gave Wigwe reason to believe he was going to make sure the luggages get to them that night while they chill out one or two hours earlier He brought up a reasonable reason why he shouldn't fly in the chopper , but deep down him it was the fear of flying in a chopper at night that made him fold . |
Spy360:To be fair , Normally punch newspapers is anti-APC but dem no try for this news piece at all . They didn't put in so much work before pushing this out . Dem for at least call the Heineken guy and ask him how FG intends to ramp up oil production to the 2.5m bpd before publishing the news. I miss the good old days when TELL magazine and The News magazine go give u everything u need to read in one weekly publication . Newspapers are moving like blogggers these days |
seankafor:If u ask me , na who I go ask ? 🤷🏼♂️ |
monerozi5590:So there are no scammers in the north Abi ? It is only in the south they engage in fraud scamming people up and down Abi ? Shey Ganduje that was stuffing dollars inside his babariga didn't scam the whole people of Kano ? Abi those yahoo boys wey EFCC dey parade for their Kaduna and Abuja office no dey part of the north ? Na only north dignity of labor dey; e no dey south Abi ? Later u go dey wonder what we learnt in university . We learnt to call thieves what they are " THIEVES " ! And we learnt to call incompetent bozzos like Buhari what they are " INCOMPETENT MANNEQUIN " ! |
GloriousGbola:This news article is very vague ; to me this is a shody piece of journalism from punch . When they say FG eyes 2.5 million barrels daily oil production they didn't say the most important thing " HOW" . Is it that FG intends to achieve this by drilling more oil wells ? fighting crude oil theft heads-on with new approach ? Will they go about exploring possible crude oil deposit in other states outside Niger delta ? etc. They just loaded the article with so many irrelevances talking about Minister for petroleum for state going to conference where he challenged the US diplomat . They also mentioned that we intend to stop IOC's from leaving but didn't also mention HOW |
raumdeuter:Buhari and NNPC know about our financial commitments as regards crude for swap towards the loan repayment . U and I may not know but they certainly can't claim they don't . They know they won't have enough crude to supply Dangote in the nearest foreseeable future |
raumdeuter:See u are just dancing around the point instead of admitting it was financial recklessness and incompetency at full display by Buhari and NNPC. As at march 2021 Buhari had over 17 trillion borrowed as loan. They know fully well the repayment of these loans are tied to our crude production, at the same time they knew our crude production would not be able to support Dangote well enough after removing the quota already alloted to loan repayment. Oya why did they still go ahead with tying Fx down knowing what they know ? Na ment? |
raumdeuter:Dangote will be selling to Nigeria in Fx and naira in the forseeable future. Nigeria committed Fx to Dangote's venture when e could've used the FX in non-oil sector. With or without FG's committing Fx to Dangote's venture he would still have completed his refinery and sell to us in Fx if we want to buy. It's not a wise decision thus far. |
Emaprince:U get time. Person wey still dey troll Tinubu and his Lagos boys yesterday saying Nigeria is bigger than Lagos and Tinubu has failed to understand that. U can tell the administration is not favoring him but he must mark register on any Anti-Obi agenda or pro-Buhari matter whether it makes sense or not |
raumdeuter:U are only pointing to the already established fact that Buhari's government was dishonest when they set in motion their propaganda machine singing Dangote refinery commencement of operation will lead to more FX for us and also lead to end in PMS importation. The 20% stake in Dangote was more of NNPC tying scarce FX down to fund a business that will only generate Dividend for NNPC as an investor. It's not going to do all of the other stuff Buhari's government used propaganda to claim. Simple. |
raumdeuter:Nobody has disputed any of these. But the idea of importing crude was never discussed at any point in time when NNPC was acquiring 20% stake in Dangote's refinery. All that was discussed in the media space was that the Dangote refinery commencing production will put an end to fuel importation and thereby earn save us more Fx . Now all that is looking like a pipe dream. Employment generation has never been an issue; we all know people (mostly Nigerians) will work in the facility na. |
GloriousGbola:Making the president minister of petroleum is certainly not the solution; Buhari has proven that. Look at this NNPC-Dangote joint venture now; does it look like a decision taken under a bright president-cum-Petroleum minister? |
Amoto no dey even drop update on Israel-Hamas war anymore |
GloriousGbola:How will they do that when we have part of our future oil production tied to Buhari loan repayment? Honestly, the idea of president being petroleum minister should be discontinued in this country. Normally Senate supposed invite the petroleum minister to come and analyse to Nigerians how much oil production do we have currently, what proportion of it do have pledged to future loan repayment and how much can we spare Dangote. These things should not be shrouded in secrecy. But I'm sure even if they invite the president who doubles as minister for petroleum , they won't really drill him like they would an ordinary minister. It's just going to be about sham show. |
GloriousGbola:Dangote has no problem na ; who go see free capital being invested into his business and he go say no ? So NNPC and Buhari the substantial minister for petroleum carry a couple of billion dollars go tie am down for private business that will not make PMS price reduce on the nearest future and dem dey do propaganda up and down. 🤦♂️ God really needs to punish Buhari |
GloriousGbola:That's a whole lot of maybes in there. No progressive economy is run on this much uncertainty . I don't want to believe the people in NNPC are not dunces , the people who worked in Buhari's government are dunces and Dangote and his expatriates are dunces . In fact I read Dangote planned everything really well and knew what he was doing siting the refinery in Lagos . If he was planning on banking on naija crude he would've sited his refinery in Rivers , maybe Bonny Island or anywhere in the south south closer to our oil fields . Instead he sited it in Lagos and designed his refinery such that he will receive feedstock via tanker vessels |
GloriousGbola:See let's look at it this way: 1. In September 2021 NNPC acquired 20% interest in Dangote refinery for $2.76 billion https://www.thecable.ng/nnpc-35000-bpd-pledged-to-raise-funds-for-20-stake-in-dangote-refinery 2. As of March 2021 Buhari's administration had borrowed N17.06 trillion , using the N381 exchange rate with repayment of those loans tied to our oil production https://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/headlines/489041-inside-nigerias-debt-crisis-how-foreign-loan-under-buhari-triples-past-govts-combined-figure.html 3. Remember NNPC is in charge of our oil and they ordinarily ought to have historical data and current data of oil production. Now My question is this: Why did NNPC acquire 20% interest in Dangote refinery and busy selling dream of cheap PMS consequent upon operation of Dangote refinery when they know we don't have enough stock to feed Dangote for that happen? Is that not intellectual dishonesty on their part? And as Izzou pointed out too; the modular refineries they are licensing here and there.... Where will those ones get their feedstock ? Shey they will also import crude like Dangote? When we say Buhari took the country backwards by 50 years this is what we mean cos the Fx pumped into this Dangote-NNPC joined venture is one of the problems we have today |
izzou: ![]() |
GloriousGbola:Are u saying If Nigeria was producing at 100% capacity we would have enough to give Dangote ? Let's take these issues one after the other. Is it oil theft that has made us unable to have enough to supply Dangote or our future pledge of crude for loan repayment? |
izzou:Wike will do his thing as usual. |
These are the issues ! Something stinks about the Dangote refinery matter . So Dangote will be importing crude oil as feedstock which means whatever product he defines will be sold to Nigeria in USD . Then u begin to ask why did NNPC buy 20% stake in the company knowing we don't have crude oil to provide Dangote as feedstock ? Yet they sold fake dream to the people that price of PMS will be cheaper once the refinery becomes functional ? This is another evidence that the Buhari led APC propaganda-run government was the worst we ever experienced in this country making head scratching decisions here and there.🤦♂️

seankafor:Just watch and see how the Rivers State template will be replicated in subsequent elections. I will be surprised if they don't attempt to use it in this Edo state election sef. Dem go upload enough blurred result sheet wella |
iamoyindamola:Thanks. Make I quickly run am. Omo It feels so good to watch BMF new episode again. Terry dey do like who go still collect bullet on top woman |
GloriousGbola:And are they not the issues? I pointed those out as the issues because the issue u are raising about LP's financial report is a moot point from where I stand. Let APC and its supporters face Tinubu that has made life difficult for both rich and poor, old and young, straight or gay from the moment he was sworn-in. |
GloriousGbola:You lost me on this one bro. Obi's campaign worked with a budget and LP has most likely submitted the reports of their spendings on Obi's campaign to INEC in compliance with electoral act by now since it's already past six months since the election. Obi making the report public was his prerogative at the request of a party chieftain. He has further requested that the report be audited. For now all u can do is wait for the audit to either indict Obi or acquit him of any financial recklessness as a candidate of the party. U do not get to be flay him for acting right given the circumstance of things. |
iamoyindamola:Yeah , I know the law expects them to submit the report to INEC and not public . But Peter Obi made his own public at the request of his party members . Now APC supporters want to drag him for being transparent and instead of acting like Tinubu who was spending dollars to hire lawyers to block FBI and CIA from releasing his past records in far away America . |
iamoyindamola: ![]() |
iamoyindamola: In order to promote accountability and transparency in political finance in Nigeria, the political parties are expected to file three reports to the election management bodies, i.e. INEC. The first is the annual report. S. 86. (1) of the Act says “Every political party shall submit to the Commission a detailed annual statement of assets and liabilities and analysis of its sources of funds and other assets, together with statement of its expenditure including hard and soft copy of its list of members or in such a form as the Commission may require”No be write the law bro. The PDP will submit report of all contributions they received from members, private individuals and entities just like other political parties. They will also submit report of their election expenses. Na electoral act mandate them to do so |
Ellexy:Buhari is everything in that picture and worse |
