Unlimited22: "From the data presented and correlated by that of the state, it's clear that large numbers of youths are engaged in this act. The age bracket involved in cybercrime is from 15 to less than 30 years, and prominent among them is dating scams, which is about 80 to 90 percent of the cybercrime activities in the state. The State Attorney General says a large number of Edo youths engage in cybercrime. I've not seen any Niger state government official saying same about Niger state. https://www.nairaland.com/7001130/edo-state-government-yahoo-boys I am concerned. Cyber fraud and Yahoo culture are big issues. I am calling on everyone to please send as much information as you can to my office. On Monday, I am going to see the Chairman of EFCC. I am not condemning those involved. There must be a reason why that culture has become so prolific in Edo StateEven Obaseki the governor confirmed same. https://www.channelstv.com/2022/02/19/yahoo-boys-must-be-brilliant-we-need-to-redirect-their-thinking-positively-gov-obaseki/ |
iamoyindamola:Okay bro. But can I download from telegram ? |
izzou:lol... ![]() I've gone through the link he dropped and all they are saying is that Northern youths also do fraud like their southern counterparts( which is actually no news to me ) The original poster mentioned Minna specifically. He did exactly the same thing prospa did by assuming the number of Fraudsters resident in Minna are more than those in Edo state as a whole. And yet here u are hassling me saying I was using Benin sample size to represent Edo state population when I've constantly maintained I did not. If u even read the thread further, u see other posters talking about Borno, Gombe , Kaduna etc. How do u rely on such anecdotal evidences? The fact that they are even talking about local scam mostly in the thread is even laughable. Do u know the amount of foreign scam pulled in Edo state, Delta state, Lagos state, Ogun state and Oyo state steady ? Most of the posters in that thread are talking about their personal experiences as either tech entrepreneurs, cyber security experts and IT professionals servicing Nigerian clients. I already said my use of the word "Majority" of Edo Youths may be exaggeration on my part, but saying fraud in Niger state is higher than that of Edo state is an untrue statement. |
izzou:Lol... U are premising ur argument on prospa who says " ask around " ![]() The same prospa whom we both live in Lagos state ? For ur information I have friends at least 2 friends who reside in Niger state as we speak and I've not heard them mention anything like the Yahoo Yahoo pandemic in the south happening in Niger state. I was not even trying to talk down on Edo but it is ridiculous for Prospa to be making a case for Edo by using Niger as the base state. E no gel at all |
izzou:Do u know how big Niger state is ? Person tell u say Niger state has more Yahoo boys than Edo state because of FUTMINNA and Bida Polytechnic students doing yahoo; u no follow am drag.... Na me wey dey tell u say UNIBEN students, BIU students, Igbinedion university students, AAU students, Auchi Polytechnic students, other tertiary institutions' students scattered all over Edo state and those who not even in school are more than Niger state residents doing Yahoo u dey off cloth follow fight. No be juju be that ? |
afrodoc2:U get am 100%! Sometimes ehn, na when I tire I dey throw in the towel ![]() |
iamoyindamola:Thanks, I download am . Episode 13 no dey there sha |
izzou:He is in Benin and has a fair view of the state than me and u who are in Lagos. U just like to pick one or two words to sooth ur narrative anytime u dey the mood to do this ur " I no dey gree for anybody" arguments |
izzou:U just like to argue sha. I have mentioned 3 different towns in Edo state populated by Yahoo boys in large numbers; Ekpoma, Benin and Auchi. Someone else mentioned Okada. Oya aside Bida and Minna, mention any other parts of Niger u know for a fact that Yahoo boys domicile . I have told u most of Niger state youth are into petty trading, farming and fishing. U have only mentioned pineapple farming for Edo state. Almost every fortnight EFCC post pictures of youth arrested in Edo state for Yahoo Yahoo on their official social media pages. How many Niger state indigenes have u seen posted like that ? I'm not even saying Edo state is the state with the highest number of fraudsters in the country, but u will be lying to urself saying Niger State has more Yahoo Yahoo boys than Edo state |
izzou:Pineapple kor , sponge bob square pants ni. Even Segedinho wey dey Benin go tell u truth if u ask am |
Unlimited22:Don’t mind izzou make he dey whine himself |
izzou:U should be asking those who use minna to judge Niger state as a whole . Proper referenced just Bida and Minna . Even the the Bida and Minna na only the students there he could label as fraudsters . Maybe I exaggerated saying majority , but a large portion of the youth in Edo state are unemployed and that’s a fact. Now the next question is what do they do to keep body and soul together ? Your guess is as good as mine. |
izzou:I'm not using eye test. I know majority of the youth in Edo state as a whole engage in Yahoo and other forms of get rich quick scheme and I also know majority of Niger state youth do not take the high way but farming, petty trading and the likes. People wey no dey school for Edo state dey do Yahoo; people wey no dey school for Niger do not even own a desktop computer talk more of laptop to take "hustle" online. Because FUTMINNA students(who come from all parts of the country) engage in Yahoo does not mean Niger state has more Yahoo boys than Edo state. I know how big Edo is and I know most of the youth are unemployed hence they resort to Yahoo and other vices. There are enough communities in Niger state where their youth would rather starve as fishermen before they turn to Yahoo; same cannot be said of Edo state. |
iamoyindamola:What is nudity without gbola or kpekus? Na only flat yansh una see for the video, it doesn't count for nudes . |
afrodoc2:Baba just wanted to prove his loyalty. In church parlance they will say " do something crazy for the Lord " ![]() |
iamoyindamola:Most of them thought when Tinubu gets there he will give them grants and all. I remember when Jonathan was president he promised nollywood N3billion grants back then ; I’m not sure he fulfilled that promise . So the Nollywood guys thought Tinubu being “ buje budanu “ will bless their ministry for real when he comes in as president . Unfortunately, person wey never even pay N35k he promised civil servants fully since he removed subsidy ; how he wan take reason nollywood ? |
afrodoc2:The that that Olaiya Igwe did this video only shows he’s also not getting dividend of Tinubu’s presidency and worse still ; himself and the nollywood guys don’t have access to Tinubu since he got the top seat. I told iamoyindamola that time when the man’s butt naked video at the beach trended that the man was doing it as payback for what Tinubu and his wife did for him when he was down sick . The man was just being loyal to the people who came through for him when he was down. Personally I don’t hold any grudge against people like him . He was very honest from the onset about his basis for Tinubu’s support . Na people wey claim to be misled by him I blame . |
KingTom:It’s even a big disrespect to mention erigga in the same sentence with shalippopi . I think most of these guys confuse being commercially successful with being a good musician/lyricist . Like Emaprince posted up there , there are a whole lot of things shalipoppi’s music lacks that portrays him as one lucky guy ; zero talent, empty lyrics , non-existent word plays , just basic mumblings etc . I understand tho ; Benin people will not gree to anything critical u say about the boy no matter how factual it may be . In due time tho , water will find its level . For now sha he still got the airwaves . |
nihilistjnr:😂😂😂😂 |
kingBolton:Ur last line is the only thing that matters. It’s just like saying because Oyo state has Lautech where most of the students are Yahoo boys, then Oyo state has more Yahoo boys than Lagos state . Lagos state that has LASU, UNILAG, LASPOTECH, YABATECH , and other tertiary institutions whose students are yahoo boys. Lagos where those not in school who reside in Lekki , Sangotedo , Alimosho , Agege , Ikorodu, Bariga , Ibeju , etc are mostly into yahoo ? You should be comparing Edo with states in the south west and south south not Niger state |
liveLongNprospa:Whatever u think u want to tell me about Niger state , I already know that’s why I asked how u always come up with all these ridiculous comparisons . Like u mean the same Niger state that includes Minna , Bida , Jebba etc …. has more fraudsters than Edo state that has Benin, Ekpoma , Auchi ? U dey whine ? Did u people in Niger delta organize a meeting recently where u came to a resolution that u will no longer gree for any tag of any vice like fraud going forward or what ? |
liveLongNprospa:How do u always come up with this ridiculous comparison sef ? Edo and Niger state ? ![]() |
iamoyindamola:I actually listen to shallipopi but like Segedinho said , na rubbish he dey sing . He’s just one of those artistes u listen to when u just want to high and just vibe . U should prepare ur mind that u are not listening to the song for any word play , metaphor , deep lyrics , motivation ( except u are a yahoo boy sha ) , rhythmic flow , and every other thing that makes good music . Just like Listening to D’prince “Take banana “ or Skailey mental’s “ meji loyan, Okan Loko “ ![]() |
The king is diagnosed of cancer and dem announce am publicly . If na Nigeria now , Sahara reporters go report am and quote reliable source who craves anonymity , the president’s or governor’s spokesperson will issue statement labeling the news false, some people will believe the spokesperson while others will believe Sahara ….. until the person later dies in office .
|
raumdeuter:Exactly . I’m all in for people speaking up when they notice anything unusual . The funny thing is the neighbors might think he’s a yahoo boy only for police to find out he’s an armed robber or kidnapper . There’s nothing wrong in raising alarm when one notices there’s something unusual about the activities of a neighbor |
GloriousGbola:At least one way or another u have/have had human interaction with them . What the narrated himself is a guy who stays at home all day and doesn’t relate at all with his neighbors in a private estate . |
Incognito9:Na una dey disturb una self dey listen to APC government and their appointees . Dangote wey get the refinery never come out tell una say fuel price will reduce ; it’s only government officials and their loyalists that are just raising una hopes through propaganda not backed by data . |
izzou:The time to dig posts never reach, when that day reach u will see so many posts wey go wan make u off cloth fight people electronically ![]() |
GloriousGbola:What u are narrating differs from what happened to this particular guy. The guy lives in an estate where he's most likely on the same financial level with his neighbors. He motioned how he does relate with any of his neighbors. They obviously profiled him as a yahoo boy cos of his young age and the level of his financial capability. He could've actually been a yahoo boy & a ritualist. The good thing is the police didn't arrest him on suspicion, they confirmed he wasn't a yahoo boy or ritualist and they let him be. |
izzou:They will soon come now and tell u Tinubu is not the first president to travel out of the country while things are tough. Dem go even give u a list |
izzou:APC= All Promises Cancelled! |
GloriousGbola:The good thing is the police didn't find anything incriminating on the guy and they let him be without taking a pin from him. I understand where iamoyindamola is coming from and I think he has a point when we take the recent explosion in Ibadan into consideration. Almost all the residents interviewed by press men said they usually see the occupants of the building bring home explosives but they never raised an alarm . Perhaps if they had raised alarm, they wouldn't be homeless today. As for the software engineer who was shaken down by the police on the suspicion of his neighbors; it's obvious the guy moved into a neighborhood that is predominantly occupied by working class people who are majorly on-site workers. He didn't do himself favors by alienating himself from his Neighbours thereby making it difficult for anybody to know exactly what he does. The neighbors reporting their suspicion about him to the police is definitely their own way of watching out for themselves. |
