GloriousGbola: But that is the problem. There are a lot of people who are working from home. I work from home for instance. And it is always in my mind that some ediat somewhere will report me to police as a yahoo man. And of course the police do not actually give a fk if I am a yahoo guy or not. They want me to be a yahoo guy so they can shake me down without consequence.
Though it may not even be the neighbors.it could be a friend or acquaintance, like those lastma dogs that sicc lastma on to you in traffic. The good thing is the police didn't find anything incriminating on the guy and they let him be without taking a pin from him. I understand where iamoyindamola is coming from and I think he has a point when we take the recent explosion in Ibadan into consideration. Almost all the residents interviewed by press men said they usually see the occupants of the building bring home explosives but they never raised an alarm . Perhaps if they had raised alarm, they wouldn't be homeless today. As for the software engineer who was shaken down by the police on the suspicion of his neighbors; it's obvious the guy moved into a neighborhood that is predominantly occupied by working class people who are majorly on-site workers. He didn't do himself favors by alienating himself from his Neighbours thereby making it difficult for anybody to know exactly what he does. The neighbors reporting their suspicion about him to the police is definitely their own way of watching out for themselves. |

izzou: The roads are scary, these days.
Very soon, transport companies will begin to exempt themselves for being responsible for passengers, even inside their bus Even if they don't exempt themselves, already where will they get ransom to pay for every individual in the bus? If for example kidnappers request for N10m each for 16 passengers, shey na GIG or ABC go cough out N160m ? I read one guy's thread on his experience on Birni-Gwari - Kaduna road . The guy is a motor boy for a logistics company and he narrated how all travellers along that route would stop at the outpost of Birni-Gwari once it's evening , pass the night there and wait till 8am when a military convoy led by two tanks would patrol the length of that road. So u just have to drive behind the military convoy to be able to pass safely on the road even during the day. Anything short of that, the insurgents ruling that route would kidnap u or worse still kill u. https://www.nairaland.com/7986760/horror-see-birni-gwari-kaduna#128215464 |

Roland17: I think it is more of miscommunication between him and Raya with him being culpable than overconfidence. He thought Raya would come get the ball but Raya wasn’t coming.
The moment he turned, he should have just kicked the ball away, he had so many options and was in control of the situation before he lost control of the situation. Yeah, maybe there was miss-communication between them, but then again If Raya had come out, he would be taking a very huge gamble. Saliba's first instinct as a defender should have been to kick the ball out considering the whole struggle was happening in his box. |

Jodera: Yeahh... I also feel Liverpool Midfield of ystdy isn't really of strong quality.
Jones, McAlister, Gravenberch..
Only McAlister looks very good quality I was glad Thiago didn't get to play any part in the first half at all, I just had this gut feeling he would've played passes towards that Zinchenko's wing and cause us problems. Truly McAlister was the only one in that their midfield that showed serious threat or made attempt at breaking our play. I also commend Arteta for making sure our players directed most of our attacking plays through Alexander-Arnold's side of the pitch. There was no need trying to make Saka go one-on-one with Gomez who seem to just know how to out-muscle Saka. I think all our 3 goals came from Martinelli/Alexander-Arnold's side of the field. That is a tactic that really worked. |

Did you see that defence splitting pass Jorg gave to Martinelli in the first half?
Lol, nobody even knew he'll pass that ball including Martinelli sef reason why the latter dittered. He really had a very good showing yesterday, It did't even feel like we missed Partey. |

Jorginho really played well Yesterday; In fact he played much more better than Havertz.
I believe Arteta needs to caution Saliba to slow down on his overconfidence; it was his overconfidence that led to that loserpool goal.
I hope Gbariel Jesus will be given chance to play in that Saka role in subsequent games if Saka remains out injured/unfit |

nihilistjnr: I think this actually shows just how far Burna and Wizxy have gone in this game.
Imo Burna is inow ndubitably and undisputedly at the top of the food chain in this Afrobeats game, although an argument might be made that he has surpassed/doesn't do(delete one as necessary) Afrobeats.
Case in point, Burna was actually competing with Drake(!) and J.Cole(!) In one category this year. Person wey pass you, pass you. Who too get, too get.
As good an Alvum as Timeless was, and it was a dope album, i don't think it was necessarily made as a crossover album. If you love afrobeats, you'll love it. If you don't, then meh.
Whereas Burna boy makes music with serious crossover appeal. Twice as tall was the equivalent of light skin nigga with blond highlights in his dreadlocks. He's black, but the whites can recognise something familiar about him.
You only have to look at the structure of 'Las Las' to realise where Davido continues to fall short. The problem now is instead of Davido and his fans taking it in good faith and go back to the drawing board; some of them online have bee calling for Grammy's boycott from all afrobeat artistes. There's this Sope guy that has been wailing since daybreak calling naija artistes to stop submitting their work. I believe Davido and his fans invested so much emotions in those 3 nominations and that's why they've found it hard to accept the outcome. He should go back to the studio to cook and avoid all those Iskaba, keke napep rhymes. Next year is another year. Like u rightly said, after the loss Burna had to go back and became intentional with his music and gave it crossover appeal. I believe same can work for Davido |

They should learn from Burnaboy ; he should go back to the drawing board this year and make more songs hoping he will get nominated and eventually win next year . E no pass like that. |
