iamoyindamola:He's clearly trying to downplay the incident so that the media won't keep the issue by giving the two players unnecessary attention. |

iamoyindamola:This is not even a story, I know a woman who stayed close to our house who was a Jehovah Witness. Her husband had children from his first wife before he married her. She waited for a long time and didn't have a baby until she got pregnant and was in critical condition at Ayinke house, Ikeja then. She needed blood transfusion, her husband didn't approve of it cos they are jehovah Witness. She lost the baby and nearly lost her life but survived. Years later her husband died and she never remarried for a long till her eventual demise too. Even before she died her husband's older children had been planning to have move out of the house so they can sell it( They eventually sold the house after her demise). That thing no make me like all those religious sect with yeye do's and don'ts |
Itsrm:I think for the parents it's an ego thing or having a resistance complex. Because I'm assuming the mother removing will be in the midst of the nurses who are equally women themselves; it's not as if a man will be there to look at her hair. I don't know what the husband's problem his. As a father I will be more interested in getting my child treated ASAP than being concerned about whether my wife wears or removes her Niqab. I guess the purpose of the video was to blackmail the nurses into bending the rules for them. |
A001:Aside the security issue, I believe the health of the child should be the parent's first concern. If the health workers are saying u should take off Niqab to prevent spreading infection to ur baby and other babies on admission, I believe the wise thing to do is comply. That kind strong head they are doing is similar to a Jehovah witness refusing blood transfusion when he or she is critically sick. I honestly don't know why people toy with their lives |
This happened at UCH Ibadan. A sick new born baby was brought in by her parents for treatment, the matrons on duty requested that the mother of the child who wore Niqab removes her Niqab so she can be with the child while they treat her. ( They explained this is necessary because babies have weak immune system and the Niqab can actually spread infection in a neonatal ward) The mother refused to take off the Niqab and the father insisted on her not taking it off. The medical officers declined going ahead to treat the child in the clinic if the mother will not take off the Niqab. The parents obviously believe they are being discriminated against while the medical officers insisted they are protecting the child and other children in the clinic from infection. https://www.instagram.com/reel/C211K1uozPW/?igsh=eTcyNnVxdjF5NXRz |
Itsrm:A news was reported last week that people in Katsina have resorted to using Mules for transporting items instead of using vehicles. |
Itsrm:If u clear motor for N3.6m, how much u wan come sell am ? |
iamoyindamola:Those ones sef no get sense, perf wey go finish within 2 weeks while the person they vote for will enjoy chopping money for 4 years |
GloriousGbola:It's just unfortunate that our elites have normalized these things. Even if Cardoso succeeds in purging people like Ndume's daughter out, they will most likely be replaced with children of other elites who will come with their own attendant issues. What happens to CBN doing normal recruitment like normal companies like banks, big 4's, oil & gas companies and other multi nationals? How will they get the best hands when they only recruit children of elites who get the jobs based on their parent's influence? Nigerians get talents o. I will never forget one guy I met at the assessment center of one of the big 4's, that guy ran 2-degree programs at the same time: one in pet. engineering and the other in geology in different schools. He made first class in both, got scholarships while at it, has so many skills like well drilling, video editing, web development, etc. It's sad that someone like him will never get a shot at CBN, NNPC and FAAN job, but a child of a politician who graduates with a lower in any funny course will get the job. |
“Even if my ward is working in CBN, is she the only person that is going to be transferred to Lagos? There are hundreds of people that they planned to move to Lagos. Whenever an issue like this crops up, instead of addressing the issue, the people and some of the reporters will now concentrate on the messenger, not the message,” he said.https://www.nairaland.com/7988357/ndume-daughter-works-cbn-spoke When Ndume was hyperventilating on the CBN relocation issue, I knew his lamentation was not from a place of logic. So he's only complaining cos his daughter who works with CBN will be relocating to Lagos and he's not happy about that. Smh. Shame on other educated northerners who let themselves to be gaslighted by selfish politicians like Ndume who have their wards tucked in elite government agencies like CBN, FIRS, NNPC, FAAN etc while they continue to defend them online. I just knew it made no sense for me wey no get any vested interest in what goes on in CBN to be fighting them for relocating their staff to Lagos where they will be provided with relocation and inconvenience allowance. Word on the street is that most of these elite children who are staff of CBN have other businesses they operate in Abuja and the relocation to Lagos will distort their plan of running those businesses side by side with the CBN job where they earn millions . |
Some people never really see shege yet sha. Imagine Desmond Elliot sharing perfume, pen and Jotter to his constituents ahead of by-election there. See them jumping to catch it 🤦♂️ https://www.instagram.com/reel/C20RMTnLO4-/?igsh=MW5vcHNiMXVqdjAyMg== |

During the 2023 elections campaigns one of the videos of Tinubu trended in which his hands were terribly shaking and people made a joke out of it that " If he uses those hands to handle this Nigerian economy ehn.... " ![]() Today it's no longer a joke but reality 🤦♂️ |

GloriousGbola:I'm not sure Bode George accused Osinbajo of anything either in an interview or press release. From that link u posted even Osinbajo was not sure Bode Geroge made those claims, I guess that was why he said he hopes it is fake news and the product of some mischief . Methinks Bode George is bitter because he was convicted for something almost every politician does. What makes it worse was that he was sentenced for contract splitting; which was later established by supreme court not to be a crime as at the time he was convicted ![]() |
TBT: February 2022. I guess this tweet didn't age well
|
GloriousGbola:Bode George was prosecuted by EFCC for contract splitting while he was NPA chairman. I don't think his conviction has anything to do with APC or Tinubu. |
izzou: You once said that you would leave Nigeria and renounce your citizenship if Tinubu emerged as president. Now that he has been declared as the winner of the election, will you still renounce your citizenship and leave Nigeria?:https://punchng.com/my-plan-to-leave-nigeria-after-tinubus-victory-on-course-bode-george/ |
OkpaNsukkaisBae:I am tempted to believe that the number of guns in the hands of bandits, herdsmen, kidnappers and other criminals in this country far exceeds those in the hands of our security forces. I mean how do they keep going around killing people every now and then? |
GloriousGbola:Yeah, word on the street is that he feeds at least 1000 people daily in his house |
afrodoc2:Yeah, His strongman was both in violence and grassroots. He was known to be philantropic so he has the backing of the common man. If una come say his grassroots base is not enough for u, he will use violence by activating his boys to scatter everywhere. My dad used to tell us stories about how strong the man was in local politics |
afrodoc2:Church Agbasa ! ![]() Asiko ore-ofe tikoja, idajo lokan. |
DissTroy:I think like Reccy later added, religious dogma and maybe culture plays an important role in the way the north seems receptive of bad governance and not challenging the status quo when it comes to politics/leadership. In the south u have irreligious people and liberally religious people in abundance. The irreligious people are not subservient to any religious dogma and will express their mind when they feel any leader is messing up. The liberals also raise eyebrows when their religion asks them to follow and obey the leaders sheepishly. And yes the south also have people who are seriously religious, but they are diluted by the aforementioned 2 groups which kinda give things a balance. On the other hand, the north has mostly religious people who belong to the Christian and Muslim faith. Some part of each religion encourages u to obey and follow the leader. The Christian faith encourages u to pray for ur leaders (Some of the leaders know this and they milk it well; they will keep soliciting the people's prayer while they deliberately continue to misgovern) |
afrodoc2:Even God of Nigerian pastors dey collect 10%, baba wan collect 25% ....That baba na the role model of all music record label for Nigeria because his own percentage no be here. I think they called him Alaafin Molete |

GloriousGbola:The Miner's name is Sawane Youssouf and he has come out to allege everything Seyi Makinde has been saying are lies. He has come out to confirm he is a miner operating in Oyo state with an approval from Federal government of Nigeria. The onus is now on Seyi Makinde to disclose the information he has as the CSO of Oyo state that suggests the miner was operating illegally in the state, that the building now referred as ground zero belongs to the miner and that the miner stored explosives in that residential premises against the laws of the state and federal republic of Nigeria. Na Seyi Makinde get explanations to do ; not the other way round. |
