I don’t even see reason for any fuss about this Unilever move . They obviously believe they are not getting optimum returns on their investment in the production of body care products and they exited it to focus on product line where they have much advantage .

They don’t want to continue to sell a product they are not making reasonable returns from. Like u rightly pointed out , Unilever do not stand a chance in the body care products business considering so many competitors flooding the market with cheaper products

This is a million-dollar athlete representing his country and they could not scan his knee to get more information. It is either someone wanted his slot OR the FA are too cheapskate to spend 50k-100k naira to scan the knee.

Why couldn't the medical team organize a scan and get a more detailed diagnosis within 24-48 hrs. It is possible that someone wanted their own guy to come in and was looking for an opportunity.

Me I see it as more of incompetency on the part of the medical team than being a conspiracy sha .

But Tunji Ojo is still a shareholder in the company and most likely holds the majority shares in the said company. Resigning as director doesn't mean he will not benefit from whatever profit the company makes executing the said contract which he definitely used his position to influence its award.

Emefiele too can claim he does not own the company that carried the renovation of CBN governor's lodge na.

I do not get why the solid minerals we have are left to the hands of illegal miners when the government should be raking in billions of dollars from the sale of these minerals. I reckon the money we get from crude oil exploration is not comparable to what we'd get from the vast mineral resources around the country.

The corruption in this country is mind-blowing. I only got to know that there's gold in Obanliku LGA and the Chinese are there mining. The state government is aware but it is kept under wraps because they're benefitting from it. How did I know? I had a neighbour who works with the Military Intelligence but Baba lied that he was working for the Red Cross in a bid to stay undercover. I wasn't sure so, I deliberately arranged a sitting with my folks from the Red Cross and invited him and just as suspected, it turned out that they didn't know him. It was only then he opened up to me. He used to lead combined team of military personnel to raid the mining sites.

A lot of shady things are happening...

Can u imagine ? I believe the reason why states and LGA's allow such illegal mining/exploration to go on with their blessing is due to the law that says everything beneath the ground belongs to FG.

They prefer tapping those resources illegally without losing a large chunk of the proceeds to FG who will only give them whatever minute percentage is stated in the constitution as derivatives. They prefer having greedy & unscrupulous foreigners mine it and remit sizeable part of the proceeds to them.

U will be surprised that after some successful raids on those illegal gold mining site by ur neighbor and his team, those financing the illegal mining might either bring him in to arrange for his settlement or they silence him

The state government is aware, they just do not want to accept their complicity in the tragic event. Below was what the security adviser to the governor of Oyo State said when he was on Channels TV:

Owoseni said, “For the past two years, the Oyo State governor has been engaging the federal government with regards to mining. We’ve discovered that there is an illegal mining market, gemstone market in Ibadan around Ojoo and populated by foreigners.

Owoseni said that there is a lot of decadence in mining industry from those who are supposed to be in charge of monitoring miners by conducting checks.

Furthermore, Emefiele was accused of conferring corrupt advantage on his wife, Omoile Margret, and brother In-law, Omoile Macombo, by allegedly awarding a contract for the renovation of a portion of the CBN Governor’s residence in Lagos to the tune of N99.8m.

The anti-graft agency alleged that the contract for the renovation of the CBN Governor’s lodge, located at No. 2 Glover Road, Ikoyi, Lagos, was awarded to a company named Messrs. Architekon Nigeria Limited, “wherein the duo are directors and majority shareholders."

The EFCC said Emefiele’s alleged action was a violation of Section 19 of the Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Act 2000.
