izzou:Lolz …. Commercial banks have an insurance policy in place for their security personnel called Group Personal Accident( GPA ) . The insurance policy covers the policemen and provide compensation for them in the case of Permanent Disability , Temporary total Disability , medical expenses and death as a result of work related injury/accident . If for example a policeman in a bank’s bullion van convoy dies in an accident or bank robbery ; his families will be paid certain sum ( which is usually in millions ) to the tune the bank insured him . If he suffers permanent or temporary disability , he will also be compensated in monetary terms by the insurer . These are part of their motivation. This is why some policemen actually prefer to be seconded to banks asides the stipends banks arrange for them. |
izzou:So far eagle and horse dey the top of the paper ; e don go be that ![]() |
GloriousGbola:Abba Kyari is a normal corrupt middle class civil servant . Abba Kyari is not in the ranks of recruits we can call poor policemen . He was commissioned as ASP. It’s just like u asking if the army major general that was court martialled for diverting operation funds that year when his orderlies absconded with the money he diverted ; if he was poor to have stolen money. We know high ranking personnel always embezzle funds in Nigeria . We are talking of regular policemen and soldiers whose barracks look like pig pens . |
I’ve my share of dealings with policemen to know they actually envy people who have normal jobs and earn considerably well. |
GloriousGbola:We are talking of policemen here not politicians or elites who steal out of greed . Some policemen don’t earn up to drivers , yet they have 3-5 children on their meagre salary . How do u expect them to survive ? Yet u hand them guns to safeguard people who earn so much more than they do….. what do u expect ? Increase their salary first , give them reaonable allowances and then let’s come back to this discussion much later . They’ve been neglected so much that they don’t care anymore and they decided to go make that salary themselves by using the guns u placed in their hands . |
Itsrm:We always like to shy away from the root cause of a problem in this country . How do u expect an underpaid staff to not steal from the employer and customers ? In this Lagos for example , there are policemen and soldiers who follow haulage trucks and pickups for a fee just so the drivers can drive through as many checkpoints as possible without dropping a dime or having the goods onboard inspected thoroughly . That might look like a legit hustle until u consider the possibility of such trucks smuggling firearms and contraband’s. There are soldiers who offer protection for yahoo boys just to supplement their meagre salary . In this Lagos if u want to drive past as many police checkpoints without having ur booth inspected u can do it with just few thousands of naira always handy to be tipped to the policemen . What if I have human head in my booth or a victim I kidnapped ? Those policemen don’t really care once I settle them. All of these is due to poverty. The policeman buys the same loaf of bread I buy for N900 in the same marjet I buy it yet his salary is nothing to write home about . He will definitely make up for that low salary somewhere somehow |
Itsrm:We are not ready in this country yet . During ENDSARS when the youth came out to protest against police brutality , the youth while protesting against police brutality were reasonable enough to acknowledge the fact thaz police remuneration is too poor and it is one of the major factors why they resort to extorting citizens ( both young and old ) The youth decided to add review of police remuneration to their demands . Buhari’s government just paid lip service to the to agreeing police remuneration will be reviewed claiming it will take time to enagage all stakeholders involved . The youth insisted that things be done about it urgently but t he police themselves , the government and some misguided citizens politicized everything and were more interested in getting youth off the street whom they believe were “constituting nuisance “ on the streets . Till date nobody has come out to tell us “ see oh , police constable was earning 40k before o, now we have reviewed it to 80k as promised during the ENDSARS protest “. Yet we all know the police are underpaid and not motivated enough to put their lives on the line . This country ehn, we will continue to reap fruits of some badly made decisions and our penchant for quick fix . |
GloriousGbola:The bold is the sad tale of the death of popular White House restaurant in Sabo Yaba ( opposite Ozone cinemas) Robbers came to his house , robbed him of his cash and ATM cards. He went to report to the police at daybreak , the robbers came back in the night to kill him for having audacity to go report the robbery incident to the police . https://www.nairaland.com/5647801/robbers-kill-aliu-sheu-white |
BlueMann:E no make sense at all. I even thought it was Just DSTV fumbling, I checked score 8 0 8 and it was same. |
daveP:Arsenal no dey like drag EPL player with fellow top EPL teams; the only player we dragged with others and won in recent times is Declan Rice and we had to break the bank to sign him. I doubt Arsenal will be willing to match the asking price for a player like Olise with other top EPL teams interested. Me I prefer we go to South Amercia continent and bring a quality attacker from either Brazil, Uruguay, Argentina or Colombia |
iamoyindamola:From their matches I've watched thus far, he's not as weak defensively as Alexander Arnold. Maybe I exaggerated his defensive prowess in my initial post, but trust me he's not on dem Zinchenko level defesively. Even yesterday he still closed down Rashford at some point in the game. |
iamoyindamola:So because a player was dribbled in one match he automatically becomes a bad player? Good players too have their off days na. |
daveP:Tottenham may make top 5 sha, They may likely displace Aston Villa if they don't mess themselves up again. That Pedro Porro ehn, we no get any RB that gives a balance of the performance he gives. Tomiyasu is solid defensively but definitely doesn't have that set piece ability of Pedro Porro. Timber too is good, but I've not seen him play enough for us to judge him fairly |
iamoyindamola:Udogie dey defend pass Zinchecko from what I've seen this season o. Udogie no dey gree even u beat him one-on-one. He's always coming back to disturb u. He dey always put that African power into marking too. |
daveP:Both Tottenham's fullbacks are good ballers; Pedro Porro and Udogie. The way Pedro Porro dey play freekicks and Cornerkicks enh, he looks like a more defensive minded Alexander-Arnold. Like he has all the attacking attributes of Alexander-Arnold and he's also good defensively. |
Unlimited22:Now e don choke her for throat. |
Shegzdave:Shebi one of them was even on AriseTv last week giving unsolicited legal advise on TV. I'm sure he's advertising his services to her team. |
KingTom: ![]() Wahala! So they believe ur brother just commot food for their sister mouth without their sister being greedy? Dem no serious |
afrodoc2: ![]() Perhaps her age didn't help her too |
afrodoc2:Na wa o. But for that to happen, she must have embezzled almost all the money available to the ministry na without leaving anything at all. I no sure say she go get that kind mind or she would've lasted this long if she did |
iamoyindamola:U will be surprised that after like 2 years back and forth in court , she may win EFCC. Me I no too put mind for EFCC to secure any long term jail sentence against her jare. |
GloriousGbola:Same thing I thought. I guess the woman must have stepped on so many toes Knowingly and unknowingly. It appears those she has wronged are doing overtime on her case to really treat her 4ck up as she has provided them that opportunity. They will muddle the waters so much that Tinubu will just have to let her go. |
iamoyindamola:Make we wait till EFCC go make their report public sha |
iamoyindamola:He don deny the rice, but he can't deny the umbrella |
Realmrsean:U supposed go out and support this protest na. U are also an Abuja resident na ![]() |
iamoyindamola:Yeah... That equatorial Guinea got it's name from it's location ; near the equator. Na the other two Guineas close to each other French and Portuguese colonial masters share between themselves. |
Shegzdave:Gbam! If u check Itsrm house u go find like 75 PDP Umbrellas with Wike's pishures on it ![]() |
iamoyindamola:There's Guinea Conakry, Guinea Bissau and Equitorial Guinea. Guinea Conakry(The one simply referred to as Guinea) is an ex- French Colony Guinea Bissau is an ex-Portuguese Colony Equitorial Guinea is an ex-Spanish colony. They were never one country. |
iamoyindamola:This one worked. Thanks |
iamoyindamola:The first file has been downloaded successfully. The other two links , its telling me the files have been donwloaded by too many users....blah blah |
iamoyindamola:These links are not working. Please help me check again |
iamoyindamola: GloriousGbola:He has not even said anything about the incidents at all....It's looking like his constituents in Abuja are on their own for now. |
