Ozkar: another Strawman argument, oh lord of Fallacies. Nice attempt at making up a stance for me and arguing against the made up stance.
The only reason I bothered quoting you in the first place was because you asserted that "a phone is far more likely to cause an explosion with cooking gas than the flame already burning". That bit is nonsense.
Bye. You are welcome |

Ozkar: if you see "don't be silly" or "pseud" as insults, good for you and your 'oversensitivity'. That wouldn't stop others from calling you out on your fallacies and incorrect assertions. You are welcome. You can go ahead and use your phone touch light to fill fuel into your Generator tank, you can as well put it by your nuzzle to check if the fuel is actually entering your tank. Bye and have a nice evening |
Health › Re: Gas Explosion Kills Lady 'Operating Her Phone While Cooking With Gas' In Lagos by Bluffly: 12:27pm On Jan 10, 2019 |
Ozkar: hahaha... Don't be silly, static electricity only causes sparks which then COULD cause an explosion. How anyone would claim a tiny spark is several times more likely to cause an explosion than an already existing flame, is beyond the rational mind.
If there is a leakage while cooking, the flames are more likely to cause an explosion than 100 ringing phones in the same area and sparks between a comb and dry harmattan hair. So it is a huge leap of faith to say the phone (or even static electricity) caused it and not the fire already burning at the burner.
Also, static electricity can form between your cloth and skin or between your comb and hair. It's not even a phone thing. Stop peddling ignorance like a typical Nigerian who never reads or researches anything.
You hear there was an explosion while using a phone and while already cooking, and you conclude the phone is the cause. You are even trying to defend the fallacious conclusion with the nonsense about static electricity being more dangerous than na.ked flames.
You know nothing about static electricity and science. You are just a pseud, a Nigerian one. It is quite unfortunate that you can't express your self without insulting. What a Shame |

Selective fighting of corruption is the worst anyway Selective fighting is a starting point, before you know KABOOM even does that served the soup of selective fighting will eat from it and there it goes to unselective fighting. But it must start. |

maasoap: Leakage can occur anywhere as you rightly put it. But what the guy is saying is that if your cooking gas is already in use, it doesn't make sense to say that the use of phone near the cylinder will now cause explosion again. Must you wait to Kaboom before you take precaution. Any phone can become defective, infact, most are and a defective phone can create a static electricity. Simply put, anything that can Kaboom with the gas get rid of it. Mind you, static electricity is 100% raise to 27 dangerous than be burning fire where there is vapour in the air |
Health › Re: Gas Explosion Kills Lady 'Operating Her Phone While Cooking With Gas' In Lagos by Bluffly: 10:39pm On Jan 09, 2019 |
Krak: How about the naked flame already burning on the gas burner and cooking the food, why doesnt that cause explosion? Explosion can only be caused when there is a spark after the room is filled with gas.
A phone can never cause explosion when there is already fire burning at the mouth of the burner. Pls let us learn to use our heads once in a while. Because the actual gas is what is burning in a controlled manner. That is why you light the match stick before opening the gas little. Obviously you won't get it. The best will be for you to do the practical alone so you can understand the dynamics. |
Health › Re: Gas Explosion Kills Lady 'Operating Her Phone While Cooking With Gas' In Lagos by Bluffly: 8:49pm On Jan 09, 2019 |
pawesome: you said vapour.. That means it must be exposed to it... That's means if a gas has no leakage, it cannot explode.. A phone can cause an explosion only and only if there is a leakage So you think it is only cylinder that leaks, valves leaks, hose leaks, even the burner leaks, so why risk your life when you can implore preventive measures. The fact still remains that static electricity occurrence can ignite fire where gasoline vapour is in the air. So this makes a phone a culprit. Also learn that where vapour is in the air, your must not put on your bulb |
Health › Re: Gas Explosion Kills Lady 'Operating Her Phone While Cooking With Gas' In Lagos by Bluffly: 8:40pm On Jan 09, 2019 |
pawesome: and why does a match stick not cause explosion but phone does Furthermore, the issue with phone is because it may create static electricity which when mixed with gasoline vapour will spark fire. There is also an extent at which gasoline vapour can fill the air and also cause fire from a match stick |
Health › Re: Gas Explosion Kills Lady 'Operating Her Phone While Cooking With Gas' In Lagos by Bluffly: 8:31pm On Jan 09, 2019 |
pawesome: is your brain and your gullibility that will kill you... What has phone got to do with gas? Naked flame from matches cannot cause gas explosion if you come to switch it on but phone does... How? Use your brain na So what causes explosion when you receive a phone call at the gas station. Do you know that the gas in petroleum is what causes the explosion and not the liquid itself hence why an empty keg of petrol can still ignite fire. Naked fire isn't same as radiating emission. Do you know that if you've opened your gas to much before igniting your matches, explosion can occur |
Health › Re: Gas Explosion Kills Lady 'Operating Her Phone While Cooking With Gas' In Lagos by Bluffly: 8:27pm On Jan 09, 2019 |
Temidayo9: No relationship between using a phone and already burning gas. If explosion happened, its due to gas leakage or improper use of the gas, and not from the phone. My guy you are tackling urself. Take caution to avoid mishapps and yet you want to justify its use while cooking with gas when there could be unnoticed leak. Prevention is better than cure. Mind you the radiation from the phone is like a match stick waiting to be ignited |

GistFullGround: I was wondering, is there something like this in Nigerian Beaches, where you see lifeguards seated and watching swimmers having fun thereby watching for, and guarding against anyone drowning?
I believe this is an employment opportunity for good swimmers and it should be given a thought if it's non-existent.
These guys are seated miles and miles on the beach and keeping watch with binoculars and whistles.
I believe Ijaw guys could be trained for this job cause they are so good in swimming.
It's a good thing to go swimming and know good rescuers are watching your back if anything goes wrong. Sorry, none of them will think that way. Na kidnapping quick money they will be focusing on |

I don't support impunity release the man for human sake Most Nigerians won't know what is happening inside the government except one is there. They have the intelligence and we don't. Anyways let them do what they need to do rather than holding him continuously. Either set him free or try him for treasonable offences. |

I cant imagine killing 16 of them at an Army checkpoint in Nyanya, Abuja yesterday. The Police have avoided confronting by providing them security but the Army just want to kill them for nothing They are the ones provoking. Imagine the situation at Nyanya, Army said move back and they started throwing heavy stones and sharp objects at them thereby injuring the Army personnel's. Why must you provoke a gun carrying person. How I wish it was for a better cause like constant electricity, good roads, sustainable environment, etc |
