On a serious note, it's called favor. Being at the right place at the right time is key. For all you know this might be the first time ever that anybody is recognizing her for anything. I believe she just reacted love like she would for any scenario not knowing God will use the situation to bring her before the Gov.

Waste of funds and hipocrisy. Been honored for saving herself and disarming two robbers. Many people have done that. Why did he not organise a ceremony to celebrate police officers who died in the line of duty and let us know what he is doing for their family instead of this nonsense.
This should be a normal thing in the force rather than seeing it has been superfluous.

What does that mean?
Street slang. Meaning your head is where it's meant to be, the neck. Some people's head could be under their feet or their anus. I guess you understand what that means.

Politics › Re: Nuhu Ribadu Dumped 2 Days To Poll by Bluffly: 8:57am On Apr 09, 2015
bettercreature:
Nuhu Ribadu’s chances of winning the Adamawa governorship election was left in tatters today, following the desertion of his Peoples Democratic Party by party bigwigs to the All Progressives Congress.

Leading the defectors was former Deputy Senate Majority Leader, Jonathan Zwingina. Othes were a former Minister of External Affairs, Idi Hong, and two serving Senators, Bello Tukur and Ahmed Barata, as well as Sadiq Haske.

They announced their defection at a press conference in Yola today.

Zwingina, who spoke on behalf of the defectors, said they decided to pitch their tent with the APC to support the party’s governorship candidate, Bindow Jibrilla.

“We are positive of the change going on now in the country; we believe in the candidacy of Bindow,” he said.

Zwingina and Hong lost in their bid to represent Adamawa Central and Southern district in the National Assembly elections held on March 28.

Earlier in the day they met with the president-elect, Muhammadu Buhari, who was in Yola to campaign for the APC.http://www.pmnewsnigeria.com/2015/04/09/nuhu-ribadu-dumped-2-days-to-polls/

No single individual is capable of changing Nigeria.

We all must join hands to change Nigeria and the trigger can only be structural changes. One clear option is implementation of true federalism in this country to promote ingenuity in value creation and healthy competition across the regions.

Until then, am still laughing at the change agents and ignorant Nigerians.
Yes, one person can not change Nigeria but the Nigerian first figure must start it to integrate others.

He might have a point because if Buhari had lost, hmm, there won't have been peace. He won't have conceeded defeat like Jonathan. He is also charging Buhari that reality is far from the words of mouth though it is good that he has conceived the ideas of what he wants but much lies ahead. I also urge Buhari to jettison all forms of congratulations start to look ahead because people's expectation is very high and when expectation is high, you get judge quickly.

I got a Call now and the Militants are claiming they are facing constant abuse by the same people that ganged up against them. They are threatening them, and so have decided to meet them at the battlefield. This is the reason I warned that our youths must be careful because the way Buhari supporters are abusing those that voted Jonathan might trigger "we no gree again." It is not a crime to vote for any candidate of your choice but our utterances may destroy Nigeria, and all those boasting Buhari will destroy this and that will realize that war is not as easy as they think.

The election has come and gone peacefully but post election comments suppose to douse tension, instead many youths want to set Nigeria on fire ignorantly through their utterances. They don't know the harm they are about to cause to Nigeria as a result of abusing and threatening other regions that voted Jonathan based on their convictions. Everybody must not vote for one candidate. You don't have the power yet.

Christianity Etc › Re: Things That Can Distract You During Church Services by Bluffly: 8:53pm On Mar 22, 2015
Rendezvou:
Many believers attend church services with expectations. Unfortunately not everyone goes back being blessed; some would return empty-handed, not because they are sinners, but for the fact that they are not actually present at the service even though they occupy space with their fulness.

There are certain practices that distract us from concentrating fully especially during Sunday services which consequently rob us of divine encounter and visitation, true fellowship, vital and spiritual information and blessings. Its no surprise that some people would not remember the Sermon they heard once they step out of the church. Why? Because they never listened.

Some of the things that often distract us during Sunday services are-

1. Getting to church at late hours/minutes- you have already lost touch with a thing or two. You wouldn't be late for an appointment with your country's president, let us honour and respect God.

2. Sitting at back seats- you will be less distracted if you sit at the front.

3. Opening your eyes during worship and prayers- the less you see with your physical eyes, the more you concentrate during worship and prayers

4. Greeting during service- it is better done after church service except there is a period alloted for it
.
5. Gisting during service- very bad habit. whatever anyone has to tell you should wait till final blessing.

6. Having your mobile phone on- calls and messages can take you out of the church at wrong moments or take your spirit out of the church. Always switch it off completely

7. Using electronic gadgets in place of hard copy of the Bible- you may be tempted to do more than reading the scripture. Use your Bible and not Bible app on your gadgets in church.

8. Carrying children- I do not mean babies here. Some parents are fond of this. You can do this only if there is no children class in the church. If there is children auditorium, let your child also go there.

9. Wearing clothings and shoes that are not moderate and convenient- this is not a joking matter at all. I have had such experience wearing a very tight shoe to the church. It was really a hell and I couldn't concentrate, always adjusting and readjusting...

10. Too much looking- if there is a word like 'lookertive' we can use it to refer to some believers. Some will look at the members of the congregation from head to toe, roll by roll before shifting to the alter to examine the ministers. You may find yourself doing this unconsciously. Determine to only be looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith.

God bless you.
Ladies dressing to kill to church- They will be focusing on themselves that they are still intact and making moves that they are noticed. This causing distraction for themselves and likewise others.
