Evening blunt how aree you?
My sweet Dash cheesy

Good evening. I didn't hear anything about Jude and Kashy.

But there is a thread presently live in the Romance section. Someone asked if Nairaland ladies were "dateable" and it soon became a messy thread with talks about kiss and tell guys and girls. Obviously, there has been a lot of scandals on Nairaland.

well no girl in her right senses will date a nairalander, not when we've seen firsthand what they're capable of

I have never chatted with a nairaland guy off nairaland before yet they were able to frame me with tailored nude pics just to soil my reputation

Have a little fallout with them and your dirty linen is all over nairaland in secs

Maturity is an individual thing I know but I won't take my chances better safe than sorry.

You can't even get my phone number anywhere online

Yes I value my privacy that much
Tailored nude pics indeed.

is a sin to worship any man or Man made.
Nobody is worshipping adeboye. She is only acknowledging the presence of God and she tap from it.
So nobody is worshipping idol
Where two or three are gathered in His name, He would be there. There is nothing special about that chair. As a matter of fact, no one ought to have a special seat in the Church. This was one of the things that Jesus criticized the Pharisees about. The Pharisees were fond of choosing the best seats for themselves in the synagogue.

Samtoog:
I agree with you. Faith works for people differently. The faith that worked for the woman with the issue of blood who touched the edge of the garment of Jesus and was healed surely didn't work for others that were around Jesus. I'm sure that woman was not the only one looking for healing that day as others possibly even walked close to Jesus but never had faith that the garment can heal them.

Don't compare Jesus with ordinary [sand] Adeboye

Adeboye is not just sand because Christ himself said in John 14vs12, he that believe in me will do the works o did and even greater things. If the garment of Christ can heal, why can't Adeboye's garment heal or the seat he sits in. Keep arguing while some people are using their faith to get their testimonies.
I'm not a member of RCCG but I respect the anointing on this servant of God
The Apostles did wonders in the name of Jesus Christ but never allowed any man bow down to them:

As Peter entered the house, Cornelius met him and fell at his feet in reverence.

But Peter made him get up. "Stand up," he said, "I am only a man myself" (Acts 10:25-26)

When people tried to worship them at Lystra, Paul and Barnabas vehemently opposed.

“Men, why are you doing these things? We also are men with the same nature as you, and preach to you that you should turn from these useless things to the living God, who made the heaven, the earth, the sea, and all things that are in them.” (Acts 14:14-15).

Read this then:

As Peter entered the house, Cornelius met him and fell at his feet in reverence.

But Peter made him get up. "Stand up," he said, "I am only a man myself."
(Acts 10:25-26)

Why didn't Peter overlook it and call it faithhuh

There are certainly things OP can not understand about the member because you look at it from canal perspective. If you ask the member the meaning of what she did, she might tell you plainly she is not worshipping the chair, but the God that anointed the man that used to seat on the chair. Her motive to God is what matters, and not the manner at which you painted the picture from canal angle.
Stop justifying idolatry.

As Peter entered the house, Cornelius met him and fell at his feet in reverence.

But Peter made him get up. "Stand up," he said, "I am only a man myself."

I really wonder why so much negative attention is being paid to Dr Adeboye and RCCG lately. We're all free to worship as we wish as long as we don't disturb others. Spiritual matters are difficult to rationalise. What works for me may not work for others.

I'm not a member and I know no one is forcing any other to join. No one has reported any fraudulent transaction or criminal matter that requires attention. I think we should just mind our business on issues like this.
I am tired of this attitude you all put up. For your information, we are not allowed to do as we like. The scripture is there for us to follow. You can't just be indifferent in the face of obvious idolatry pervading the Church.

A CHAIR TO YOU,
WILL LOOK LIKE THE THRONE OF GOD IMMEDIATELY YOU'RE BLINDED BY FAITH.
This has nothing to do with faith. This is idolatry. The apostles and even angels were always quick to remind people that they were nothing but men or servants like them.

Look at this example of when John bowed down to an angel:

Then I fell down at his feet to worship him, but he said, "No, don't worship me. I am a servant of God, just like you and your brothers and sisters who testify about their faith in Jesus. Worship only God. For the essence of prophecy is to give a clear witness for Jesus." (Revelation 19:10)

Dress responsibly if you must attend church services or stay in your house.

I understand perfectly well. You told her that she oughtn't have discussed public matters with me and even went ahead to accuse her of a breach of trust. What I don't understand is how public matters, as the ones she mentioned, became confidential that sharing them suddenly amounts to a breach of trust. Breach of what trust? Anyone could have mentioned the issues? I heard that many people witnessed the issues go down hot and smoking. So, when did the issues become confidentialhuh

There are just comparatively more examples of female Nairalanders doing the snitching.

I really don't know if that dude breaths through his nostril and not some other round hole located anywhere in his body.

I'm not so good keeping up with stats like this cos to a large extent I don't know when such goes down. Most time I'm always late and the mods would have wiped traces off.

There's this one that happened recently tho and I was actively involved cos somehow I already got a pm from the guy but for some reasons it wasn't replied to. So when I stumbled upon his rants online, I had to go dig up his email to caution him offline. I don't want to Start mentioning names right now.

I just didn't like the fact that Tsom statements were too harsh against the female folks, granted he might be right about the females but look how the males were painted demi gods.
I know better than to shame the guys here. It's not a struggle between the gender, at all! Can never be.
But when some irregularities are detected, I think I have every right to point them out and if possible make corrections.
Yes, indeed, you have every right to point out irregularities. And I did enjoy reading your posts.

He has this popular line he loves using and I'll put it up to him now.

Can he swear to any sacred being he believes in that he doesn't have a list that implicates the male folks?

If he's answer is still yes then there are two things involved
It's either he's not well informed of what has been happening over time on NL. I doubt this is applicable cos he seems to know too much judging from the names he mentioned most I don't even know of but a few I know about though I didn't witness the scandals.

Or he's intentionally hoarding, padding and stuffing the truth to drive home his points and shame the female folks.

Well!! Whichever it is, I think I've made my stance clear on this matter smiley smiley
Aside that from the excruciatingly stupid Caringguy, I don't think we have had full blown scandals of kiss and tell orchestrated by an M. I may be wrong, though. The many cases that bore resemblances to kiss and tell tales were the handiwork of trolls, most prominently, MrCork.

You seem so fixated on degrading the female folks and it makes you come off as a misogynist.

Alot goes on behind this forum, the gossips, the ass licking, the kiss and tells and all, no one's disputing that fact. But what I can't get a full grasp of is why you attribute it to mainly to the females whilst exonerating the males.

Look how you went on ahead to say majority of the males discuss football, politics, and other seemingly important issues and excluded just a few that fall into the kiss and tell category.
But for the females, you practically assigned the kiss and tell/gossip tags to virtually all.

Now if you're gonna judge and point out faults, be at least fair in your dealings and say it as it is without any form of padding.

I've dealt long enough with humans to know that in as much as the gossip tag is more often than not attached to the female gender, such traits are not limited to gender factor. It's actually more about your personality and the type of people you mingle with.
During my undergraduate days in a male populated department, we the girls were learners compared to the guys once it comes to the pretence and fake acts. Infact all of the scandals that rocked my department then were from the male folks.
Heck!! I was actually a victim in my final year.

What am I trying to say? It's no gender thing.. It's more of ones personality.
You listed some scandals that rocked NL where the ladies were the brains behind that. Are you trying to tell me you don't as much as have a matching record where the males were the brains behind the fall outs?
I could help you out with ones I witnessed but no I won't do that.
I put it up to you that for every female name you mentioned then, you have a corresponding male name that did same if not worse but somehow you prefer padding and stuffing the truth.

Nairaland has afforded us much anonymity that some fellows can't help but display their stupidity and foolishness. Someone who can't walk up to you on a normal day to spew thrash would suddenly have the effrontery to insult you to your face and spread rumors about you just because they have that privilege to sit behind the screen and type away.

I frequent diaries and believe me at some point there were so much stories going around behind the screen and guess the brains behind it..
I was once active on an edition of the miss NL contest where a WhatsApp campaign group was created. The hate there towards NL members that weren't in the group is something I can't describe. Right there in that group you'll find one or two persons that are actually loyal to those been slandered. You do have an idea what will eventually go down if those loyalists leave the group and get back to their friends.

I repeat!! It's no gender thing. Same way we have the sane male folks, there are as much as sane female folks all around.

I've made cool few male friends on NL that I wouldn't even hesitate saying a yes to if things were to go down in that direction. I've had a good number ask me out and looking at it critically, they'll be worth it.
Have I sauntered online to yap about it or maybe carry their stories around? Do I even have the time for such?
Well!! Sorry to say, none of them are active romancelanders smiley
Infact I've not had an offline encounter with any of romance section Lords. I don't think I ever will with the scandals been raised up, down, left, right and center.

At the end everything boils down to been wary of the person you let into your inner circle. Let everything that happens online stay online. Everyone is a suspect until proven otherwise.
Madam, he is armed with a list of incidents involving Nairaland girls kissing and telling. With that list and none to implicate the male folks, the kiss and tell stuff appears to be more of an F thing on the surface, at least.
