petra1:Answer my question first. It is only polite that you respond to a question first before burdening the person asking with a question or a task of your own. Order is key to good manners. If everyone is answering tasks with tasks or questions with questions, how would anything be done right? Please, answer my question first. |
talk2percy:He probably thinks that one needs to put on material clothing to be clad. |
Gombs:I didn't mention you. However, I would have appreciated your mention if only you answered my questions to the OP. |
petra1:How many times did Abraham tithe and whom did he tithe to? And what did he tithe? |
pascal558:Your analogy is just as weak as that of Suleman. You need to be a certified doctor after many years of education to practise. Education is key to medicine but not to the Word of God. Many of the disciples of Christ were unlearned men. While education is key to medicine, the Holy Spirit is key to the Word: But you have received the Holy Spirit, and he lives within you, so you don't need anyone to teach you what is true. For the Spirit teaches you everything you need to know, and what he teaches is true--it is not a lie. So just as he has taught you, remain in fellowship with Christ. (1 John 2:27) Before Christ died, the Holy of Holies, the inner sanctuary of the temple where God dwelt, was only accessible to the high priest. When Christ died, the curtain of the temple tore in two and ended our separation from God. Christ's death made us priests who can now stand in the presence of God without needing a human mediator. The field of medicine is exclusive, but the Word of God is for everyone who believes in the Good News. Now to the issue of tithe. I am not against tithing devoid of compulsion or threat. But if your pastor preaches that tithing is compulsory and uses the threats in Malachi, he is a fraud. Christ's eternal priesthood has replaced the mortal priesthood of Aaron with his descendents of weak men. Now if perfection had been attainable through the Levitical priesthood (for under it the people received the law), what further need would there have been for another priest to arise after the order of Melchizedek, rather than one named after the order of Aaron? For when there is a change in the priesthood, there is necessarily a change in the law as well. (Hebrews 7:11-12) The Levitical priesthood failed to bring us to perfection. Instead, it brought bondage and was laden with curses but the eternal priesthood of Christ brings freedom and perfection. Everything was done once. The sacrifice was once but it is eternal. You don't have to continually sacrifice goats. The sacrifice was once, eternal and profitable. Since the Levitical priesthood has been replaced by the eternal priesthood of Christ, why pay tithes? If the Levites who needed the tithes have been replaced, why continue paying? Why putting yourself under the Law that Christ has liberated you from? Do you know that the Law carries curses and Christ took all those curses away on your behalf? Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, for it is written: "Cursed is everyone who is hung on a pole." (Galatians 3:13) |
Keneeby:How does he need Christ? He teaches that tithing under the Law is not for Christians and he supported it with Bible verses. If he had the title of a pastor, would you write that he needs Christ? All these just goes to show that you have no regard for the Bible except it is quoted by a self-acclaimed man of God. Should Jesus come today and start criticising your pastors the way he criticized the Pharisees and teachers of the Law, you would tell him he needs Christ because he is just the son of a carpenter. |
Every time I listen to Suleman, all I see is an arrogant man who feels that being a pastor places him above human rebuke. And yet, here is a man who doesn't feel any remorse attacking Governor Nasir El Rufai at will, including body shaming him by calling him a dwarf. If he feels only pastors can criticize pastors, then only governors should be expected to criticize governors. Suleman needs to read this verse: “Rebuke a wise man and he will love you” (Proverbs 10:8b). That verse shows that no one is above correction. Except he wants to claim that he is perfect and above mistakes. The Bible made us understand that we who received the Holy Spirit have a greater Teacher who teaches only the Truth. But you have received the Holy Spirit, and he lives within you, so you don't need anyone to teach you what is true. For the Spirit teaches you everything you need to know, and what he teaches is true--it is not a lie. So just as he has taught you, remain in fellowship with Christ. (1 John 2:27) The verse did not say only pastors have the Holy Spirit. If your teaching is false, a Christian taught by the Holy Spirit would discern false teachings. That Christian does not need to be a pastor. A pastor is a human being, not God. He can make mistakes. Paul called the Berean Jews noble because they examined Paul's teachings to see if they were true. Paul was happy and called them noble. That is a true teacher. A false teacher like Suleman is full of pride and expects his followers to accept all his views on spiritual matters even if they contradict the gospel. May God forgive him. It is not hard to see that he is a false teacher. |
kenzysmith:Are you a man of the Devil? |
idom101:Bro, they are not unclad. |

Treasuredlove:Now, this is what I call wisdom. I believe thousands will learn from your post. |
I don't understand Didn't he pay the prostitute? How can a prostitute collect payment and still expect to be satisfied sexually? Maybe those who patronize prostitutes can shed more light on this matter. |
Oyindidi:Not bad. Have a beautiful day ahead. ![]() |
