Finesse247: I am on ground in South West, Nigeria. I will be voting tomorrow. Canvassers and party loyalist have been at the houses of various politicians for cash disbursement. I can authoritatibely tell you that there is no/limited cash for vote buying. I asked potential voters, and they said they may not come out to vote is they will not be given cash. Therefore, low turnout of voters may be recorded. These are the type of voters we don't need in this Nigeria any longer. I saw one video of one woman and a man like that, (“MADNESS” would be the best description for that video), where they were telling Peter Obi to bring money to them for them to go to the creek and mobilise guys to vote.. Like Seriously? If they don't want to vote, just because they were not given money, let them not vote. Let them go and vote for whoever that gave them money.. But let them never complain in the end, when bad governance begins to tell on them. |

BigBashiru: Well said! The video recording sounds a bit colonial as well.... They actually made a CONFESSION too.. “America is not interested in who wins” That means. In past Elections, they used to be interested in who wins? If not, why would they include such a line? As if it was so bare to everyone all these while that America had always been interested in who wins in Nigerian Elections, but this time, they would repent. |

Do you have a #PVC and don't know where to vote? Call the INEC Citizens Contact Centre on 4632 to know your Polling Unit. #NigeriaDecides2023. Source: https://www.facebook.com/100064292065433/posts/584642193688844/NCC dedicates toll-free number 622 as Presidential election incident hotline
The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has dedicated its Consumer Toll-Free Number 622, to serve as 2023 Presidential election incident hotline to enable voters and members of the public across Nigeria to report any issues that may affect them, or others, during the elections on Saturday, February 25, 2023.
A statement personally signed by Executive Vice Chairman/CEO (NCC) Professor Umar Garba Danbatta on Tuesday, disclosed that the step was taken to support the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), in its patriotic commitment, towards the conduct of hitch-free elections in Nigeria.
According to the statement, the Toll-Free Number 622 is the second-level complaints centre through which consumers of telecommunications services are allowed to make calls directly to the Commission, to resolve issues concerning their telecommunications services which the service providers are unable to do.
“However, in consideration of the critical nature of this election and to alleviate emergent issues that may arise at the voting centres, or any parts of Nigeria thereof, the Commission has considered it expedient to dedicate the Toll-Free Number 622 to accommodate all types of complaints on election day.
“This is with a view to resolving such issues by contacting and conveying such to relevant agencies, authorities, or organisations for timely resolution.
“The 622 Election Incident Monitoring Centre will be manned by top Management officials of the Nigerian Communications Commission. The hotline will be open to the public from 8.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m. during the Presidential and National Assembly elections.
“Members of the public are, therefore, invited to take advantage of the Election Incident Monitoring Centre Hotline, 622,” the statement read. Source: https://www.blueprint.ng/ncc-dedicates-toll-free-number-622-as-presidential-election-incident-hotline/
