Crime › Police On Twitter: The Real Reasons We Don't Go To The Physical Police Stations by BluntCrazeMan(op):
Response to the earlier thread:
“REPORT ROBBERY IN POLICE STATIONS, NOT TWITTER – LAGOS POLICE SPOKESMAN”
..
..
It is not that we don't like reporting crimes through the proper channels to the police, or that we are afraid of going to the police station, but the actual truth is that the Nigeria Police Force are the ones that are not helping matters.
..
Anybody that goes to report cases at any nearest Station of the Nigerian Police would just be ready to be faced with lots of bottlenecks - which are created by the police officers themselves.

..
Below are SOME of the major bottlenecks:

1. Every other available officers in the station would always be making it very difficult for the person to have an audience with the DPO, unless some amount of money comes out of the person's pocket.

2. In order to ordinarily report any crime, the person must pay for the opening of the CASE FILE.

3. After paying for the CASE FILE, the person must also pay for the writing of the statement.

4. Inside the statement, they would tell you a lot of things which you must describe, even those that you might not even have paid attention to.

5. Even after all these payments, the police-station CAN NEVER give the person any updates on the case again. Even though the person was the one who reported the case, and wrote the statement, and paid for the case file. They would always say that they are still investigating.

6. If the person starts to pressure them to be quick in their investigations, they would prepare a bill which they call “Mobilisation” and present to the person, which would help them leave every other jobs they were supposed to do and do the one at hand. And even at that, they MAY still not arrive at a very good conclusion.
..
With this now, you can see why it is so difficult for anybody to rush to any police station in order to complain about anything at all.
You must pay for the case file, and pay for the statement, and those are just for the start of the delay in response and actualising anything meaningful.

..
These reasons are also why it is difficult to operate the POLICE EMERGENCY NUMBERS in Nigeria.. Because,, if a person calls the police on phone to complain about a crime, then, who would be the person to pay the money for “opening the case file” and the money for “writing of statement”??
..
The rot in the police is just too much.
..
..
And for those of you that do not know exactly how the Nigerian Police works,, please you need to know this now...
..
The Nigerian Police is not as easy as...
You arrive the station and enter the Station.....,
Then you ask around and find the officer in charge of complaints....,
Ok.. Then you tell him about the crime...,
And they ask you some questions which you would provide answers to......,
And then he makes some series of calls..
And BOOMM... Some policemen would rush outside and jump into the police vehicles and drive off to the location you described..

..
NO WAY.!!
THEY DON'T WORK LIKE THAT

Romance › Re: Am I The Only One Finding It Difficult To Have A Relationship by BluntCrazeMan: 9:56pm On Jul 15, 2022
kartelkid:
Please guys I need to understand something that really bothers me; I sometimes result to smoking to cope with, as I find it really depressing.

In my early days I used to have girlfriends, and it was quite a deal, back then in school.
As I got older I switched to being used to hookups and ashawo; and the sorts, because I realized all I wanted was sex.

Years past, I've outgrown this hookup thing, and value creating relationships with women; which obviously includes sex, but is more serious and could lead to something in future.

What worries me is that despite all my attempts online and offline to find a relationship material woman; I realized that almost all the ladies I toasted wanted nothing but hookup. The moment I appear serious; they disappear or try to play mind games.

Please guys is this a normal thing now in our country, or it's just me experiencing this. It's really sad; and hopeless, as a normal relationship will help my morale and prepare for the future.

Have you found it easy to have permanent relationships without playing the religion card?
The type of lady that you're still attracted to are still those ones that are not interested in relationships.
And even when you meet the serious ones, you're still trying to be smart-by-half.
..
So, they would start to try to be smart too.
And mind games would set in

So,, End Of Discussion.

(So much for a patriotic Nigerian Nairalander who CANNOT beat his own chest and tell anyone who cared to know, that he had reported a lot of crimes - as his own little effort to help in sanitising the country, and that he had followed-up on them to see how they later played out)

Dont you realise how daft you sound?

When a crime is commited you insist the police shouldn't be made aware.
Simple Question...
..
Have You Ever Gone To Any Nigerian Police Station To Make The Police To Be Aware Of Any Crime??
..
Just Answer Yes..
And we can continue our discussion.
..
If your answer is NO..
Then, there is no need continuing this discussion with you,, because you would be saying a lot of things that you really don't know anything about.

If you go to the station and you lodge a complaint, if they aren't motivated (perhaps they needed to be bribe and you refused) would you be arrested?
I put it to you, that you have NEVER EVER gone to any of the Nigerian Police Station for the sake of “Lodging any complaint”.
So, I won't continue this discussion with you, because you lack the required experience-based knowledge to engage in such a discussion.

All these things you wrote about tinubu and obi are they for real?

The peter obi own seems very very unreal.

Why would an out going politician want to suffer himself this much after leaving office?

Even tho I'm a staunch OBIdient person.
Because he already had a good life before becoming the Governor.
The misgovernment of Mbadinuju made him to come down and become the governor, just to correct the system and give the people hope.
And when he was leaving, he didn't want to impoverish the state by any means that is personal to himself.
So, he decided not to go with any take-home or retirement benefits..
..
Meanwhile....
Throughout his 8 years as a Governor, he continuously signed off all his salaries and allowances to charity organisations..
YOU CAN GO AND VERIFY THIS ONE TOO..

Politics › Re: Osun 2022: Police Announce Restriction Of Movement, Vow To Arrest Vote Buyers by BluntCrazeMan: 10:01pm On Jul 14, 2022
THE EASIEST AND THE BEST WAY TO STOP “VOTE-BUYING” IS TO SERIOUSLY CLAMP DOWN ON THE “VOTE-SELLERS”.
..
Without the VOTE-SELLERS, There would not be any VOTE BUYERS..

The Vote-Buyers are always present during elections and they are always ready to pump-in so much money into the “illegal business” of vote-buying, just because there are willing Vote-Sellers,, and that the the “illegal business” was shamelessly made “Legal” by those who are supposed to ensure that the illegal business didn't take place in the first place.

The Easiest Principles to apply in stopping Vote-buying and Vote-Selling is just to destroy the “Market” itself.
It's not JUST about chasing those people who are sharing the money, but it is supposed to be more of making the “Market” itself so unfavorable for both the Vote-Sellers and the Vote-Buyers.
And that is, destabilising all the possible “confirmation processes and methods” which the Vote-Buyers would be planning to use in confirming who the Vote-Sellers voted for,, and thus, leaving the Vote-Buyers with the sole option of having to trust “ONLY THE WORDS” of the Vote-Sellers, which is definitely going to be very difficult for the Vote-buyers themselves.

HERE BELOW ARE THE BEST AND THE EASIEST WAYS TO STOP VOTE-BUYING AND VOTE-SELLING

1. Serious Voter Education is needed in order to enlighten the electorates, so that they should know that the thumb-printed ballot-papers arw something that is supposed to be treated very secretly,,, and that its exposure in any way or manner amounts to a very serious electoral offence.

2. Any voter who shows his or her thumb-printed ballot-paper to the public should be arrested immediately without any delay. Whether he or she was paid to do such a thing or not. If the voter shows his or her thumb-printed ballot-paper to anyone or to any other person who might be loitering around the polling-booth/cubicle; both the voter and the “loitering” person should be arrested immediately.
It is a serious electoral offence for someone to breach the privacy of his or her votes.

3. Any voter who snaps a photo (or a picture) of his or her thumb-printed ballot-paper should be arrested immediately without any delay.
It is a serious electoral offence for someone to snap a photo (or a picture) of his or her votes.

4. Voters that are on the queue are free to record the events at the Polling-Units,, but not the events at the Polling-Booth/cubicle.
That means, the voters are free to capture the photos and videos of voters who are showing their thumb-printed ballot-papers to the public, and/or voters who are showing their thumb-printed ballot-papers to someone who is loitering around the polling-booth/cubicle.

5. For any Polling-Unit where there had been video evidences (or photo-evidences) of such illegal exposures of thumb-printed ballot-papers without the arrest of such voters and accomplices,, then, the INEC Officials and the Security Personnels that were drafted to such Polling-Units should be sought out from the records and prosecuted accordingly.

ABOUT VIDEO AND PHOTO EVIDENCES..
The video evidences (and/or photo-evidences) should contain adequate contents which would easily let the viewer to ascertain the time and the venue of such events. If not, then such videos and photos are as good as nothing.

In capturing videos, it is highly advisable for the person who is recording the video to say the location and date while recoding the video, and then tell the time the video is being recorded, and also, a brief description of what is happening inside the video..

As for photos, time-stamped cameras can be used, or GPS Cameras which can also indicate the geo-coordinates of the location of the camera as well as the time and date of recording the events.. Then, more than one photoshot is required, and it should be snapped from many angles, so that the location of the event can be identified by those who already knew the place..

..
..
If the Nigeria Police Force is Really Serious,, they should be arresting the Vote-Sellers..
..
AND NOT REALLY THE BUYERS.
..
YESS..
Because it is actually THE SELLERS who are committing the Electoral Crimes, and the Buyers are just the accomplices..
..
SHOWING OF THUMB-PRINTED BALLOT-PAPERS IS THE MAIN CRIME HERE.
AND THE PERSON THE BALLOT-PAPER WAS SHOWN TO BECOMES THE ACCOMPLICE..
..
So, if the police go about to arrest the people with money,, and not the “Main Criminals”, then they don't even know exactly what they are doing.

The Nigerian African Giant, Burna Boy, left Black Sherif’s hand literally hanging in the air when he wanted to shake his hands, shortly after he (Burna) exchanged pleasantries with Popcaan who was standing just close to Sherif.

In a video that has been making waves on a cross-section of the internet, Burna Boy, who is in Jamaica, was interacting with fans when Jamaican star, Popcaan and the Ghanaian musician stepped out of a room to meet him.

He quickly greeted the Jaimacan star by shaking his hands but refused to acknowledge the Kwaku the Traveller hitmaker when he stop sipping his drink and gave him his hands.

Fortune118005:
There is a saying that there is a man for every woman and a woman for every man. A lot of news about failed marriages is scaring some men to stay away from marriage.

It has been discovered through some research that 80% of a successful marriage is living together with a right partner. The question I want to ask is: How can you know your right partner?

Please push this to the front page for the matured men and women on this forum to answer this important question.
There is no right partner anywhere..
HAPPY MARRIAGES OFTEN HAPPEN BETWEEN TWO FLEXIBLE AND DYNAMIC PARTNERS WHO UNDERSTOOD THEIR INDIVIDUAL SELVES VERY WELL, AND ARE READY TO FACE ANY TYPE OF INDIVIDUAL THEY END UP WITH, AND ARE ALSO READY TO UNDERGO SOME CHANGES AND ADAPTATIONS FOR THE SAKE OF THEIR PARTNER...
..
In fact, the thinking that there is a right partner for EVERYONE is the actual reason why a lot of marriages are failing..

..
How would you know your right partner when you have not even taken enough time to know yourself very well??
..
Like now,, you don't even know your own likes and dislikes, you can't even predict yourself in some certain critical situations.. You don't even know your own weaknesses and strengths..
Then, how can you know who your right partner is supposed to be?? How would you know that you have seen the person that best fitted yourself that you don't even know anything about.??
I mean,, you don't know yourself,, and you are looking for “WHAT” exactly in another person??
In fact, na like-this like-this you will continue to fall in and out of relationships, searching for the right partner, and you will continue to get the wrong pretenders... and will never find the supposed right partner for yourself for a long eternity, and you will still everly settle for the wrong person finally..
..
YESS. Just think about it..

..
..
Meanwhile,, the 85% statistics,, I need to see the link to the research.
I want to read about it.

victooman:
So the previous compound l lived in, l was literally the clown of the house, I try to make every one happy especially the females. l was jovial, friendly and accomodating. I realized that the attitude wasn't in any way paying me. l was disrespected and it looked as if most of the girls were just using me to pass time and nothing more.

The one that broke the camel's back was when a girl barely 20yrs in my compound threatened to give me a hot slap if l ever touch her, this is a person we do play and gist a lot o. Since that day l borrowed sense.

Now l am in a new compound. Unfortunately the house has a lot of female occupants, with guys, but based on my past experience l no just send the girls and l am already in a serious relationship so even their friendship doesn't trick me. l no just want compound wahala...

So now the way those girls look at me and try to get in between my nerves is something else, all guys play and relate with them so why me? The hostility is getting out of hand and l dont want to slap sense into any girl head.

Please how do l handle this issue.
