YoudeyVexme: I have tried understanding that scripture since I was a kid, till now I still don't understand. Does he mean the owo attack that people died in the church, living members shouldn't have buried them. But leave them there for the dead people to come bury them? Let me give you an example. A certain hunter (not so young - approaching 60) was asked why he stopped being a Christian, being that he was so active in his youth as a Christian.. He didn't put much of his money, but he put in much of physical strength and gave lots of fresh bush meat to the priests for free.. Guess his response?? His parents died when he was a young man, and the church didn't give him any assistance to do the funeral rites as it is supposed. So, he stopped attending church. And that whenever he gets money and do the complete funeral rites, he can then go back and continue church from where he stopped. When asked what the rites entailed,, he said- one cow for the father, and two cows for the mother being that the mother is an ADA (First-born daughter in her father's compound) then two goats.. And at least, two bags of rice for the entertainment on the two occasions. ... But these are traditional rites naa. Why did he expect the church to give him money to fulfill traditional rites?? .. This happened more than 20 years ago ooo. .. . This is a typical case of “Leave the dead ones alone”. |
Christianity Etc › Re: Let The Dead Bury The Dead (What Jesus Actually Meant?) by BluntCrazeMan: 6:46am On Jun 20, 2022 |
Gabbriell: Here is what led to Jesus saying those words:
Luke 9:59 He (Jesus) said to another man, “Follow me.” But he replied, “Lord, first let me go and bury my father.”
Then Jesus reply: Luke 9:60 Jesus said to him, “Let the dead bury their own dead, but you go and proclaim the kingdom of God.”
So what does it mean ? The word "dead" is used twice in the sentence.
The first one refers to those who are alive but dead (spiritually). These people do not know about God or believe in God.
The second one refers to someone who is dead (physically and spiritually). That is someone who died without knowing God.
The man Jesus was talking to has already found Jesus. So he is not dead (spiritually), that is why Jesus was setting his priorities straight. Saying he should leave the dead (spiritually dead) to bury their dead (spiritually and physically dead). Wait..!! So, the man’s father is both spiritually and physically dead?? And his son shouldn't bury his dead father?? But outsiders (who are physically alive but spiritually dead) should come in and bury his father for him? |

Babaflenjor: This pretty lady joined our company in 2019, She is a junior staff, she works directly under me. At first I didn't like her, in fact I'm more friendly with other ladies in the office than with her, but in 2020 those who were my friends left, and I was left with no option than to be more friendly with her. Within few months we became very close.
She is very beautiful, smart, and very intelligent, She loves me and she always show it, I love her too but I didn't come out to tell her I love her, though I always care for her anytime, others think we were dating, in fact many people say it to our face.
Now my feeling for her is very strong. I belief she knows this too, for some time now she always wants to be around me.
To cut the story short, the management gave her a sack letter early this month, meaning today is her last day in the office.
NOTE her sacking has nothing to do with my relationship with her, I'm seriously missing her already. For over two years in that office she is not in any relationship, but now she is dating one guy, and she is leaving Today. You don't even know what you want exactly. |

Ehinjuola: Hello NLanders, I got caught up with something on my neck in my neighboood recently.
There's this woman (A) who bought a sewing machine from one woman (B) 9 years ago, suddenly woman B just came from nowhere to come and claim the sewing machine that she sold years back that she only use the machine as a collateral from woman A that she didn't sell it for her.
Now the issue is Woman A has sold the sewing Machine and also insisted that if truly woman's (B) use it as collateral for how many years now she would wish if Woman B paid her back with the interest on the money which the money is way much more than money for 100 sewing machines.
Now questions is, how will I go abt it cause I happened to be one of the landlords in my area( I guess I am the youngest) and we are called to come and judge over the matter. 1. Woman's A doesn't posses the receipt of the sewing machine and as already sold the sewing machine 2. Woman's B want the machine at any cost claiming she has the receipt with her and she will use it against woman's A in court ( If the judgement didn't suite her taste in landlord meeting)
Note: They've gone to police station around early February which they've told woman's A abt the important of receipt and also let it known to woman's B that collateral shouldn't be more than a year and after that the person you borrow something from might as well claim the ownership what you use as collateral (Don't know maybe there's any law backing it though)
Abeg let it gain more audience by pushing it to front page thanks. Meanwhile,, what I the latest update on this case?? What later happened? |
Crime › Re: Judgment Over An Accusation. by BluntCrazeMan: 3:33am On Jun 19, 2022 |
GreatAdvice: This is a very simple case and anyone with half a brain should know that Woman B gave it to Woman A as collateral. It doesn't matter if its 9yrs ago or 9 days ago; Woman A needs to pay the money needed to buy a brand new machine in 2022, plus an annualised interest of 30% and severance pay for all the pain and suffering she has inflicted on Woman B. This is a very sad case, you should never sell someone's property that was handed over to you as collateral unless they default on their debt agreement. There was no debt agreement.. If there is, then it cannot be reduced from the story, so I don't know how you arrived at this.. There is no evidence (inside the story) that it was given as a collateral. Two evidences are clear already. If money exchanged hands, it was sold. If money didn't exchange hands, it was given freely. ... For the fact they didn't agree that it was a loan before the exchange of money, then it cannot be taken as a loan. Or else, let the woman produce a strong evidence that it was a loan, rather than a direct buying-and-selling. |

Abeg let it gain more audience by pushing it to front page thanks. .. Collateral?? Like, I don't understand. The two women did their transactions based on a buying-and-selling agreement. They didn't agree to a lending-and-borrowing transaction. So, why would she be confusing issues now?? Which colour of wickedness is this naa?? .. The business ended after she sold the machine and collected the money. If she used the machine to borrow money, she would have told the woman naa, so that the woman would know that she was not buying the machine,, and then, they would also had discussed the period of repayment and interest. Now, for the woman that was insisting that she used the machine to borrow money, (rather than selling the machine), she should produce evidence that she actually used the machine to borrow money, and then, the repayment period and interest and other agreements that went down with the lending and borrowing. The receipt she was producing is actually an evidence against her (that is, if she produced her own copy of the receipt which she used in selling the machine to the woman)... Because, the receipt will show that she actually sold the machine and totally handed the ownership of the machine over to the new lady. Even if she presented the receipt she used in buying the machine,, the other woman can insist that she didn't collect any receipts from the woman when she resold the machine to her. |

Ndipe: It's very embarrassing for any law abiding parent to have a wayward child out of fear that their good name would be dragged in the mud by their actions. Back in Nigeria, the adult son of a high ranking church official was suspected of breaking into my alma mata's chapel and looting items, much to the consternation of my relatives, who wondered breathlessly, "What of his parents"? I simply brushed his involvement aside because of his notorious reputation on campus. It got so worse that according to one of my school mates, his father had threatened to disown him, much to his wife's chagrin (the guy's mom) who cried. Not long ago, a prominent man's daughter recently got a divorce and one of my friends said something to the effect that since her father holds a prominent position in the Church, then perhaps, he ought to have done something (I have forgotten exactly how he paraphrased it, but he sort of held her father accountable particularly since the girl gave birth while she was still a teenager. I disagreed with him.
And my question is this: Should parents be held accountable for the bad actions of their adult children? The parents might be blamed for bad parenting and bad upbringing.. But you see the responsibility,, the adult child should be held fully responsible. |

This week have been crazy, I took alot of advice from this page and was minding my business, I called him on Saturday to come pick the kids because I deserve rest, he said he would prefer coming to the house to see them, he came I cooked and we all ate around 5 he picked up some clothes and left.
He kept calling to talk about things in general and I was responding fine. My kids got sick on Sunday (night fever) and I spent all night tepid sponging and administering drugs.
On Sunday night, he went out with his infamous friend when I called him around 10 he was still out (something he hardly do) when he got back he called and we got talking one thing led to another and I still asked him about the text message and the girl as usual he kept on hammering on how he doesn't owe me any explanation. I told him that if he doesn't give me an explanation I would have to call the girl directly, he cut the call and I actually called her.
When I asked her where she went with my husband the lady told me that my husband saw that she was interested in tech event and took her there on that Saturday, he actually went to pick her up (lol).
I asked her how did she know everything about his business and why would she want to work for him for free, she said my husband normally come to his friends office and when he is not around he do strike up conversation with her and tell her all about his business and she was interested in growing it (lol).
She got very uncomfortable and started talking about how she is a minister in her church (I actually bursted out laughing at this point), she said a whole lot of things contradicting everything my husband told me, he was even talking with her since he left the house. Is he back to the house?? Meanwhile, did he rent another apartment? Or he squatted with someone?? Who is that “someone”? |

ogbiwa: The wife of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un was once a competitive cheerleader and singer who came from a prominent family before she married the dictator.
Before married life, Ri Sol-ju was an active cheerleader, visiting South Korea as a member of North Korea's cheering squad for the Asian Athletics Championships in 2005, reports CNN.
Apparently, Ri was also part of the North Korean Olympic cheerleading team too, when she was in her early 20s.
Ri, who is believed to be in her 30s and to have three children with her hubby, was also a singer in her former life as well.
It comes after the North Korean dictator celebrated his 38th birthday and 10 years reigning over the hermit state.
She went to China to study the craft, and was a singer with the Unhasu Orchestra, a popular orchestral group that featured traditional Korean singing.
In fact, it is rumoured that Ri first grabbed the dictator's attention while performing in a concert, however, The Sun reports that since her marriage, North Korean officials have tried to erase her singing past by confiscating bootleg CDs of her performances.
It is believed the former songstress comes from Chongjin, in North Korea's northern Hamgyong Province, and hails from the upper echelons of North Korean society with a gynecologist mother and professor father.
Although Ri and Kim Jong-un, 38, married in 2009 shortly after Kim Jong-il died from a heart attack, she only made her first official appearance as North Korea's First Lady in 2012, when she caused a stir for her Western-style clothing and appearance, reports the ABC.
In her official debut she wore peep toes shoes, toted a Dior bag and sported a short haircut. She also linked arms with her husband - all very controversial in North Korea's traditional society, which made her an instant fashion icon among young North Korean women.
Recently, a year long absence from state media in 2020 sparked concern and speculation over Ri's health, with death, illness, pregnancy or possibly an a falling out with Kim Jong-un as possible explanations for her absence.
