professionalism vs integrity is the quiz of the day.

They are called non combattant officers.
Some of them cannot even C winkCK a gun talkless of pulling the trigger.
There is tin line between a non combattant officer and a bloody civilian.
Well done madam for being a professional Doctor.
Crime › Re: Why Don't We Investigate Deaths In Nigeria? by BMZK: 10:32pm On Aug 08, 2013
My encounter with police was when a cyclist hit my car and caused serious damage to the body of vehicle. The incident occured while I was 20 meters away from the well and propely parked vehicle chatting with a friend. The guy abandonned his bike and run away , we went after him but could not catch him. My friend insisted that I should inform the police which I did reluctantly. When they arrived to the accident scene, the police insisted that I must follow them to the station which i complied and asked my friend to watch after the car because I was already expecting a panel to come and assess the damage, To my great surprise the police also insisted for my car to be taken along side with the bike to the station.
Guess what ?
1. I was asked to write a statement after which I was locked up, they accused me of killing a poor okada man and trying to play smart.
My lawyer had to come and defend the wrong allegation for my case to be changed to " hit and run case " before setting me free on bail.
2. I had to also bail my car to be taken out of the station,
3, A month after, they called me to come and close the case since nobody has come to claim the bike.
No need to tell u man must drop money for each of the 3 points above,
Police is ur friend , bail is free!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Nairaland General › Re: 7 Amazing Blind People In The World's History! by BMZK: 3:52pm On Aug 05, 2013
The list is not complete without Louis Braille.

"Louis Braille ( 4 January 1809 – 6 January 1852) was the inventor of braille, a system of reading and writing used by people who are blind or visually impaired. As a small child, Braille was blinded in an accident; as a boy he developed a mastery over that blindness; and as a young man – still a student at school – he created a revolutionary form of communication that transcended blindness and transformed the lives of millions. After two centuries, the braille system remains an invaluable tool of learning and communication for the blind, and it has been adapted for languages worldwide"

I was invited by Glo last Saturday to attend their bounce and slide concert in Calabar. I don't believe Glo is broke witnessing the caliber of musicians: P-Square, MI, Labaja, Flavor and many others just to mention few. I was specifically carried away by a 9 years Ghanaian small boy Emmanuel Mensah who God has blessed with with wonderful voice. If you have the opportunity don't miss the show the show (they are on tour around Nigeria ) because it's big fun.

Agadez and Arlit are in the core north of Niger Republic close to Algeria. I don't see how can these towns be linked to Nigeria border. These terrorists were the ones who invaded Mali are from touregs ethnic groups not Hausa Fulani. There's a mix up somewhere.

Egba girl: @Ileke-Idi, the same happens in French if you claim it doesn't in English. As far as I'm concerned it's like that in every language and as Omo to dun rightly said, its in the intonation. You can make a statement a question by adjusting the intonation. It might not be commonly done/used but its not exclusive to only pidgin
I disagree with you. I do not know about pidgin French but the French language I know is well articulated with complex grammatical rules which do not create room for such confusion.
Please, I will like to see an example of a French sentence that comply to your claim.

Health › Re: Today Is World AIDS Day: Do You Know Your Status? by BMZK: 12:33pm On Dec 01, 2012
Annually, 1 st December is marked as World Aids Day to raise awareness about, and to combat HIV/AIDS. This year also marks the 30th year since AIDS was first reported. World AIDS Day will be a platform to pay tribute to early advocates of the response.

Observed worldwide on 1 December since 1998, World AIDS Day is the moment of the year where millions of people come together across the globe to commemorate people who lost their lives to HIV, applaud progress made in responding to the epidemic and recommit to ending the epidemic.

“Getting to Zero” is the theme selected by the World AIDS Campaign (WAC) to commemorate this year’s World AIDS Day on 1st December. The new theme, that will be used until 2015, echoes the UNAIDS vision of achieving “Zero new HIV infections. Zero discrimination. Zero AIDS-related deaths”
Education › Re: The Amazing & Interesting Facts About Number 9 by BMZK: 9:14pm On Nov 20, 2012
[quote author=bakenda]The interesting numerical facts about number 9
stem from the fact that we use the base 10 number
system(we count in 10's), 10-1 = 9.

If you use any other base, let's say base b, you'll
get the same interesting results for the number b-1.
I have a simple proof for this but 2busy to state it
now. But let's take an example :

Using base 4, b-1 = 3

3 X 2 = 12
3 X 3 = 21

The sum of the resulting digits 1+2 = 3.
Likewise, 2 + 1 = 3

QED.
Good bless you,
I was 100% sure there must be some mathematical logics behind the correlations. I was busy cracking my head before you pointed it out.
Please try it with binary numbers, base 8 numbers, base 16 numbers or any base numbers of your choice, you will arrive at the same conclusion.

I started with 12k/month in 2002 working 16hours per day (5am to 9pm) 6days a week, no weekends, no public holidays being observed in the establishment. I served my master diligently and learnt fast on the job.I built a strong network and good relationship with our major customers and fetched myself a good job within 2 years. It was not easy but i have no regret because i have achieved alot in my carreer because of the technical skills i developped in my starting point.
Be serious and patient in whatever you are doing.
