1. Disgusting the rich:

You cannot become what you disgust. If you accidentally get rich with this mindset; chances are you will in no time lose everything and be broke again.

I'm sure you don't want to remain broke. Then start liking the rich.

2. Envying those making it big.

Don't be envious of people growing. Rather bless their achievements and pray God bless you with yours too. If you do this; you will soon hit your jackpot.

3. Thinking life happens to you.

This is a grave mistake that most people make. They just sit in a corner thinking that what shall be shall be. Sure what shall be shall be; but you have to put some things in place.

It is written that heaven helps those who help themselves. So, take charge of your life.

4. You can't take risk because you are afraid to lose.

I will have to explain this for you to get

You are like, what if I lose. Ok, what if you win!! Just do it.

This thought belongs to the poor. The rich take risk to win. They do not take risk not to lose.

Have you seen a club that wins a match through all round defending without an attempt to attack? I've not seen one. The best they can get is a draw. Which is a waste of time when it comes to risk taking. How can I invest 10k and get 10k back with no ROI after like a month or 3 months.

So; rather than defend your money; aim for the win.

5. You want to be rich because you want to prove people wrong. This is a non-supportive why to becoming rich.

The effect of this is that you won't find happiness in being rich. Non-supportive why also include fear and anger. You will never find happiness in becoming rich if your why is dependent on fear, anger or show-off.

You might even lose all the money to gain happiness. Of which; been broke will cause more sadness.

3. I have lived long enough to understand that life happens to people. I have seen a brilliant man who was making progress, suddenly struck by epilepsy and he couldn't measure up to his responsibilities.

We have our own ways of dressing in Africa. The thing now is, we are dealing with a global world and righteousness is righteousness in Africa, in America, in Europe, in Asia, in the moon, in heaven and on earth no matter the skin color or geographical location. It's the same judgement.

The issue shouldn't be about a woman wearing trouser but modesty. In Scotland, men wear skirt, that's their culture. If the queen of England is to wear trouser, of course she won't wear a pencil trouser or trousers that will reaveal the shape of her butts, figures and vaginal. She will wear a decent, modest trouser. The same thing goes with women that represent nations at the United Nation, you will never find them wear camel toes and all kinds. So as a Christian lady, if you must buy jean trouser or any kind of trousers at all, buy the trousers that covers well not the one that will advertise your butts and all to the world. Buy the one that will bring you honor, dignity and glory.

I say again, it is not about trouser or whatever we wear but modesty. That is what God wants.

Where I come from, men tie wrapper as traditional attire. The reason men from my place use wrapper during their traditional marriages.

7 years of struggle to cater for and build a decent home, I have spoken so many times and to no avail. Since I was born up till this year, I hit a woman for the first time in my life. The reason is just because she did something stupid, I didn't want to get involved in any argument or fight, I just went to book a hotel room and had a quite time to myself that night till the next morning and on getting home she just attacked me saying I went to sleep with another woman.
I have given her the options so many times to go her way if she is not happy being with me but she won't go. Go back to your fathers house, she will not. Ok go and be with any other person that will tolerate your attitude she will not leave my house. All she does is money money money this and that. Even with her business, she does not use a dime for anything in the house aside her own stuffs.
Can you imagine she had a fight with me some time ago because I personally went to pay my kids school myself? All because I didn't give her the money to go and pay herself as I normally do?

Can you also imagine she had a fight with me one day all because I bought a jeans and slippers for myself without buying anything for her and the kids because I had bought some nice stuff for all of them including her like a week before then.

This is a woman that has never bought me even a boxers since marriage and has never gotten me anything gift for my birthday or anything but I just ignore all that and focus on making the family happy. Yet I am not happy in my home because I know what I go through especially this year that corona made things rough, I have passed through hell just to ensure my family is fine and we are not put to shame yet a matured thinking lady does not even care about anything.

Those saying I am a fool for thinking of suicide because of a woman, it is not because of the woman I am thinking of such, if you really know what depression can cause, knowing how hard you struggle to earn your money and spend it on someone who cares less for you, you will understand.

It's not true that the state workers earned more than federal workers. In fact the workers in Akwa ibom earn the least salary in the country except for medical doctors.
The salary difference between state workers and federal workers at the same level and step is above 20k, with the federal worker earning the bigger sum.

So all he gets for impersonation is just apology? Because he's a northerner? Nigeria is cursed.

Why create a problem when you the rules. Frustrating people for their pay because of a law isn’t a crime. Peace and wisdom should be involved in all we do. Landlord and tenant no Dey be friend, Na sense person Dey use.

If you think someone breaks the rules, there are procedures to get justice.
I don't do sentiment, that landlord was just lucky to have a tenant who doesn't know what the law says. You don't confiscate people's properties just because they owe you rent. It's not within your powers, no matter how right you think you are.

As there are terrible experiences with landlords there are also terrible experiences with tenants. Today i will like to share a worst experience with a tenant.

My dad happens to be a landlord so we have met alot of tenants.

There was a stubborn tenant that rented a 3 bedroom flat worth 300k. He told my dad he will pay 250k now when he has the remaining he will pay. That's when the notoreity started. The tenant refused to pay the 50k, despite my dad's constant reminder.

When his rent expires he said he will soon pay that he needs more time, that he wants to pay everything at once. The next time my dad ask him, he said he is in financial crises all this was while i was in school. When i came back for end of semester break i still heard that the man hasn't paid his rent. I began pressuring my dad to collect this rent, the tenant has spent over 5months without paying a dime. My dad said the man lost his uncle and went for burial recently. Thats when i realize he has been given excuse to my dad for a very long time.

After sometimes i told my dad not to allow the man stay one more month without paying. My dad threaten to bring the police and take him to court. The man blocked my dad number, then my dad called him with another number when he picked and discover it was my dad he claim he didnt see my dad's initial call that he was sick. The man then switched off his phone.

We decided to go to meet the man together with a lawyer but he was not around. I placed a 2month notice and that he must pay for the months he has stayed in the house. After a week the man called with a new number pleading that he should not be evicted. He asked for my dad's account number so that he will pay. The man send 50k only. My dad told him he just completed his last year rent and will have to pay for the current year. The man refused. After the two months my dad changed the door lock thereby preventing him from getting inside even though his stuffs are inside.

After a month, a woman from the Neighborhood told my dad that the man we evicted is still living in the house. He usually comes in late at around 11-12pm and goes out around 7am. The next day we arrived there few minutes past 6 but the man has already gone. We discover that he changed the lock to the house. We end up confiscating all his properties and emptied his room. Till today he is yet to be found.

I have others stories about other tenants but i will love to hear your story. Over to you.

I'm not in support of the tenant who couldn't pay his rent but get this straight : what you and your dad did was illegal and I'm sure the lawyer knew the truth but refused to inform you.
Was there any tenancy agreement?
You don't give 2 months eviction notice to a tenant who pays his rent yearly.

I'm saddened by the barrage of insult and disdain these children have for their parents.
Some even brag about beating up their father to the delight of others who liked his comments. This can only come from children who are from a dysfunctional home.

I work in government mda that is responsible for recruitment, discipline, promotion, appeals and petitions, confirmation and conversion etc.
Normally for you to be promoted as a civil servant, You must need pass your promotion examination. And government would vote huge amounts of money for the promotion excercise.
Committees are set up to handle the events, starting from the pre-exams seminar to the exams proper.
I was placed in venue and logistics committee and was asked to make a budget for the purchase of some items needed; which I did.
I submitted it to the committee head and he asked me to up the pieces. He explained that allowances should be made for any unforeseen price increment.
I did and the amount stood at well over 400k
Money was released to our committee and then the head called and handed me a little above 100k, to go do the purchase. This was grossly inadequate for the real items that needed to be bought. I politely decline and asked that another be sent.
That was the beginning of "war" between me and the head. He felt I should sign as if I was given over 400k when I didn't receive such.
Thank God government work is different from private.
He can't sack me but he posted me out of the department.

I arrived nysc camp Kano after a tortuous 2 day journey. Ungongo was where the camp was situated before it was moved to karaye.
