It's not everytime the truth sets people free. I thought about this as well but there too may things at play.
I have always felt the treatment may not have positive results fast enough and will take many trials, so accepting responsibility for this child is a good way to save us the embarrassment of our families wondering why we have not had a child after marriage and it also ensures she won't be trying to get pregnant for the next three to four years, which gives me more time to sort myself out.

As competitive as we think medicine is, facts results from jamb had shown little percent made above 300, and not all who made above 300 applied for mbbs.
Also, northern states present the least number of students for mbbs and most southerners who studied medicine didn't study in the core north. Reason? Insecurity.
How did I arrive at this?
Check the booklets of nysc that had all the corpers passing out in a batch, especially doctors and the institution they attended and tell me how many doctors did their mbbs up north. Collect as many booklets as possible, from friends, different batches and state ; then you will have a glue of my point.
I served in Kano state in 2006 and I know the north don't post the few medical officers of northern extraction, out of the north. But even at that, my batch had 15 medical officers and 1 was from the north.
There's no way this girl should be denied admission except on religious grounds. If not on merit, Niger state is among the elds, and could still made it on that ground.

You can only speculate, let ABU respond with the list of admitted students to mbbs with details of state of origin and scores.
How many northern states students study medicine in Nigeria in year? Jamb could be a guide here.

The Op can only post this because majority of people here can't ask objective questions.
1. The process of admission is the same in all federal university in Nigeria. The merit, catchment area and educational less developed state.
2. Out of the 120 students claimed to be admitted to mbbs in Abu, all states can't have their quota of 2 to 3 candidates applied to ABU. The reason is parents from non northern states will hardly allow their wards who want to study mbbs, apply to northern university because of insecurity. Can the Op publish the names, scores and state of origin so we can see the transparency?
3 is Niger state one of ABU's catchment area or elds?
4. You claimed she ranked 7th from her state, can you publish the name and scores from her state.
U advised a brilliant girl that was on her parthway to study mbbs, to enroll in anatomy, are you for real.

my experience when I had issues like this that I wanted to leave a church was, ''has God disappointed me''? Secondly, I had revelation from God before then and I saw the manifestation of some, which shows that there is a God and He is always on the throne looking after us. I am a member of Rccg, and sometimes noticed things and tried to channel it to appropriate quarters : but you will be shocked how you will be call names. And some of these things came to dent the church.
I had long concluded not to leave the church because denomination is a contraption of man and is bound to have flaws. Your post is valuable to me.

I have resisted the urge to comment but I just have few things to say.
1. for those abusing the op. , I expected you to state your position or level of involvement in Rccg before you can say if the op is telling lies. Are you a worker, deacon, ast. pastor, pastor etc. This is necessary because it determines the level of privilege info you can access.

2. I have been in Rccg, long enough and had once worked in the admin. office, serve as head of protocol in an entire province and served as a P. A to a pastor in charge of province.
What the op said is nothing but the truth. It's left for the church to look critically at these issues, with a view to addressing same
