FamilyRe: Help A Nairalander Achieve His Educational Dreams by boay(m): 9:42am On Nov 28, 2013
Phema: Nope. I still feel Ifyalways should hold on to the money so we are sure there is money available to pay immediately the site is re-opened. If the money is given to him now, he might use it for other pressing needs. Then what happens when he needs it for his fees?

The money will eventually be given it to him whether or not they re-open it the site.
SECONDED

ifyalways: I don't get but let me try . . .

First Post :
I spoke with the OP and he told me that one of the lecturers told him that the state Governor have instructed the school's VC to open the payment portal. So,it is likely that the portal will be opened this week.

Second post:
Tsmith suggested I transfer the raised funds to the OP and i asked if anyone has an objection to that.

All Ok now,dear undecided

FamilyRe: Help A Nairalander Achieve His Educational Dreams by boay(m): 9:27am On Nov 28, 2013
ifyalways: Update - I called the OP this morning and he said " one of the lecturers told him the governor instructed the VC to re-open the portal to everyone,a meeting was held to that effect last week and its expected that the portal will be opened this week because they will be starting their exams dec. 7th"
ifyalways: Noted.

Do we all agree with this ?

Update - Portal not yet opened. Fingers crossed.
Please the 2 posts above seem to be contradictory.
You said the portal will be accessible this week for registration, right? If yes, then let us wait till Friday

Ayatullah: Thanks for telling us what we do not know of Wole Soyinka. Now let me tell you WHAT WOLE SOYINKA DO NOT KNOW:
* Wole Soyinka despite his brilliance DO NOT KNOW That THE ALMIGHTY GOD GAVE HIM HIS BRILLIANT BRAIN.
*Wole Soyinka DO NOT NOT KNOW THAT IT IS THOSE WHO ARE UNGRATEFUL THAT REJECT THE EXISTENCE OF THEIR CREATOR.
Wole Soyinka IS THEREFORE A BIG FAILURE!

There are so many things that contribute to knowing your creator. Your upbringing and your environment matter alot. If you are in China or Afghanista you will probably not be a Christian. If you are Abubakar Shekau's son you may also not be a Christian. Must everybody know his or her creator in their early stage in life? God is the One who determines that. You better apprceiate God for the GRACE in bestowed on you and pray and hope that he will know God later before his demise. It is not a natural thing to acknowledge your creator, their must be a power working in the heart. Dont be too strict, he may come to know God on his death bed, then how are you better than him? Be strict with yourself but be lenient with others. God's ways are mysterious.

Also, Soyinka is a traditionalist not an atheist
Probably they are not new to you, but they are new to me and many other people.

Ogun is the god of iron. Sango is the god of thunder

Sepp360: Whats challenging about his life? Being atheist?...
Thats the most interesting part if i must say!...

A proud Atheist!...
A proud Cultist!...
His achievements are challenging considering the fact that he wrote from a prison.
