2334A harvested in the month of April, 2Amps short of the figures from the month of March.

The drop can be attributed to public power supply during the night for about a week during the past month. The batteries were almost fully charged before the dawning of the next day.

Counters cleared now, the month of May is rolling already.

Cheers!!!

These lines sound familiar, although it is not confirmed yet if the hoodlums are from NURTW and ACN.

I laughed some months back when the ACN lead government was enumerating security as part of the administration's sucess.

One advise I have for the residents stay clear of popular bus stops, a word should be enough for the wise.

Power supply improved slightly in my house around Black horse in Ibadan till the rains last Thursday and we have been in darkness since then.

This is not a strange occurrence, we could go four weeks before it is restored. I got 58units of prepaid credits in June 2012 and i still have about 40units left on the meter when i checked about a week ago.

abunafiu: pls, i need honest advice on etracer mppt, i learnt there are fake morning star products in the market........http://www.belismart.com/et6415n-etracer-mppt-solar-controller.html

Yhanks
This mppt charger to the best of my knowledge is good. I have would have picked two of it in march if not for my botched trip to the China. It can work with 12, 24 & 48v battery configuration. Although i think the 3 communication links is too much and may also be responsible for the high price.

For friends who requested for my email.....just add 2005@yahoo.com to my username.
Satellite TV TechnologyRe: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by bodejohn(m): 10:15pm On Apr 27, 2013
You sure need the mppt charger for your batteries.

Do not also forget that oga George mentioned some other important factors that affect solar panels, you can filter the posts on the thread to check these factors or better still use Google.

My charger controller like i have said before is from China, I got it through aliexpress, the part number is emppt3024z, please note that this model only works for 12 and 24v systems. There is a 48V brand too.

You can also ask oga George about the morning star charger.

its always cool when we bump into something new, but from my little take, its always good to look for users review, basically let others take the plunge, then only then will u know how good it is under "NAIJA" conditions, ie bad generators, wrong voltage, wrong frequency, erratic nepa.

my little take on the issue

RomanceRe: I Urgently Need Your Sincere Advices by bodejohn(m): 11:07pm On Apr 23, 2013
I am surprised you guys are putting all the blame on the lady, quite harsh to call the OP a fool.

My lady, I will advise you on this from experience, my fiancee once had issues with my family and i did not for once tell her about it. It is all about impression. If i let her know she is not welcomed, she will see them as enemies and the hostilities will start. Even when she noticed some of the issues i down played them.

The way family members feel about their in laws to be if not properly managed by the couple, the end of theire relationship will just be by the corner. If you really told your fiance not to tell his family about an issue especially when it had to be about how one family feels about their in law and he went ahead to say it, i agree with you it is a clear case of betrayal. I also take it that he is not matured enough to be call a man not to talk of been call husband. How many more times will he jump to his parents to tell them about your other issues.

You also need to be told the truth...you obviously over re-acted. It is not a masculine world where the man is always right and the woman is always wrong. But when anyone is wrong, the other should help in correcting the wrongs and not to say I am right. Good you know the power of communication in relationships, call your fiance and discuss with him.

One important thing i found in my few years of marriage, if one is wrong, both of you are wrong and you must both come together to make amends.

RomanceRe: Needs Your Advice: She Is Older Than Me And Has 2 Kids But We Love Each Other. by bodejohn(m): 8:02am On Apr 21, 2013
My response to this type of thread would have been to ignore it because i used to think that this type of relationships and marriages are only nollywood flicks but not until a former colleague who travelled abroad some few years ago appeared from no where to marry a woman who could easily pass for his big aunt. The striking semblance in the story is that the woman also has two kids already.

While I am not in support of this type of relationships, i will also like to say that the motive could only be survival or greed.

It is so bad that the youths of this country are quick to look for shortcut to money and fame.

@OP, like many others, I also feel you have made up your mind, probably you have seen friends pull similar stunts, but let me tell you that even honest marriages are rocked by problems not to talk of scam ones.

Keep in mind that this could lead you to anywhere including wealth and fame probably death....the choice is yours, just follow your heart.

[quote author=jayboskie7]Thanks a lot Bodejohn,God will bless you real good.Actually i want to use for pumping machine,Air condition,Tv,Fridge and water heater. Please just a quick one how many solar panel do i need to get because this is my next project now.

Professional advice is needed here pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee[/qu ote]

As rightly pointed out, you might want to leave your AC and water heater out for now, it will drain your batteries like when witches gather in a coven to drain the blood of a victim.

Like i said before, you have to list all the gadgets you plan to use, get their rated power and for hour long you wish to run them, its an exercise you cannot skip.

As no man is an island of knowledge, do seek help and comments from other members in the forum.

jayboskie7: gurus in the house.i have read all the observations and all the likes. Please am intending to go for 5KVA inverter sine wave off grid 24 volts product. Please how many batteries and solar panel do i need to get along with it.Please just help me out.i have been on it for while .all i need is your advice.

Thanks
I doubt you will find a 5kVA inverter with 24V input voltage, minimum at that power will be 48V.
I think you will first need to re-consider if you really need the 5kVA, I use a 1.5kVA (it powers my house house including tv, fridge, lights, washing machine and when the fridge is off i can power the water pump) and Oga George uses a 3.5kVA.

This is very important as it will determine the minimum number of batteries (2 batteries minimum in case of 24V and 4 batteries minimum in case of 48V) that your setup will require and that alone determines almost all the other components that you will use.

PoliticsRe: 99.9% Of Nigerians Are Honest - Okonjo-Iweala: True? by bodejohn(m): 10:25am On Apr 17, 2013
I like mathematics....
If 99.9% of 170 million Nigerians are honest and hardworking then
0.1% of the 170 million are corrupt, this is 170,000 corrupt Nigerians.

We also need to look at the spread of the 170,000 corrupt Nigerians.
They cannot be infants and teenagers, because at least these ones do not yet make decisions on their own.
These corrupt Nigerians are found in various cadres and at different levels in the public and private sectors of our economy.
They are the voice and the image of Nigerians, in short, they are the elected and appointed leaders. They are the Chairmen and CEOs at private enterprises.

Aunty Ngozi, the 0.1% Nigerians that are corrupt are the people who represent Nigeria in the public and private sectors.
They are the voice of Nigerians...they the NIGERIA that Nigerians and other people in the world call CORRUPT.

Dear all,

I still like to reiterate the point of DOD of the batteries in our banks. As i have read and noticed, best design practice is to install batteries banks with 50% or lower DOD keeping in mind that the lower the better.

badaru1: @George D

Please I need recommendation on good battery to buy for inverter,I have been buying batteries but I have been able to get any that last for more 1 and 1/2 years. I need atleast 2 200AH batteries
The use of the batteries is as important as their selection. You can double the lifetime of your batteries by not completely draining the juice in them. Read up on DoD of batteries for more information.

Oga George, I understand that the installation of the panels is also very important but in the case above i was comparing the panels that i installed in the same condition.

Maybe because i was lucky to have a side of my house facing the southern hemisphere. I didn't notice the deep that the offset could cause.

I have wondered for some time why you needed a 2kw solar array. Obviously you would have required much less if you had a better view of the south.

Some of their experience could prove valuable.

However I almost spilled my kunu just hearing that suntech factory has closed down. He might be referring to the one i once opened at my backyard.
