Please don't deter applicants from doing what the op has said. I don't think he is much different from other HR.

No boasts but there's hardly an application where I don't get an invite. I have no idea how the companies invite me but if the op is anything to go by, I have a DR in my official mail with my first name and last name and my name also bears a Dr with first name and last name


And yes I'm licensed to practice.

This email of a thing is not important and i have come across alot of funny emails and they eventually get the job. Its not a requirement.

As for acknowledgement, what else are you looking for? You want the person write an epistle to confirm attendance? Oh please. One time someone had an issue with distance and would be able to make it. Guess what, i scheduled a skype interview and another time, i told the person to visit one of our branches and i scheduled a Tele-presence (video call) interview.

Furthermore, i have on different occasions had candidates who are running late. Guess what, i call them to ask if they will be able to make it or they want to reschedule.

This is how HR is practiced and not the unnecessary bias you preach

I got an invite one time and wasn't in town. I replied the mail saying I couldn't make it the following day since I wasn't in town and suggested Skype and gave my phone number if they wanted to do over the phone interview.

I also gave them a time I will be in town. Guess what, they sent me another invite a day to the time I have them... I attended this time and got that job.

Learn To Acknowledge Invites Properly

Seriously, if I send my invites, I will never ask you to acknowledge them like many Recruiters do. But if I fail to get your invite 24 hours to the date of the interview, you won't be cleared for the interview.

It is something you should do without being asked. Anyway I stopped asking applicants for their acknowledgment when I got 2 silly acknowledgments from 2 unserious dudes.

The first one was:

Ok, I will be there

The second one was:

I won't come because I am living in Abuja.

I didn't clear the first one for the interview and so he didn't see his name on the Clearance List.

The second dude just lost out because we would be recruiting for one company for the same position in Kaduna and that opening comes with an accommodation

I would have him about it if he had acknowledged my invite properly. If he had consented, since I was in possession of his CV already, I would have transferred him automatically to that opening and forward his CV to our Recruiter there.

Imagine, a top Recruiter referring an applicant. You know what that means.

Good CV just became useless because of useless acknowledgement.

Many of you might be wondering what a Clearance List is.

This is a compilation of all the names of the successful Applicants. It shows their name and position applied for. All they need to do is just sign and enter the time.

We noticed that a lot of job seekers are gate crashing out interviews without been invited. So we devised that means to check them.

Let me give you an expo. A lot of companies are not using this Clearance List but rather Attendance List.

So monitor any company you want to work for, on the day of their interview, just dress well, go there and sign in. They will collect your CV at the venue and interview you as well. If you are successful, you would be employed.

But for us, NEVER!!!

I was so shocked when I received a call from jobberman asking for my permission to send my cv to a company. It felt great...

Look getting a job has little to do with all those tips up there.

It's just grace or a bit of luck.

People say you have to know someone before you get a job. I don't know if I should believe this.

Confidence is key i think.

Any time the HR asks how much they can pay me..


I tell them the average salary of the role in the industry plus 50k..... Then I make it a range with 50k difference.


Although I know my luck with jobs has nothing to do with my actions during the interview but I'm sure they are amplified by the almighty.

In 2 months, I sent 5 applications, got 3 invitations, attended 2, got the 2 offers and chose 1.


I have never been the best option.

It shouldn't shock you to know that everyone got issues. You might go on social media and see your friends living large and happy.. Many live a fake life there.
