Some of those "Christian names" are actually Northern Nigeria's Christians.
Surnames are not given on religious basis. They're identification tags.

Oddly enough, 95percent of the names are Southerners.

Politics › Re: I Recovered My Home In The UK - Lauretta Onochie by BoldBrainz(m): 2:25pm On Sep 03, 2023
nedu666:
From onochie story, it is a rented accommodation not her private house. If your sister and husband were not paying the rent despite having jobs, why were you paying the rent for house you are not leaving in. Your sister can also claim that since you don't live there, she and her husband pays the rent.
You can buy an apartment on a mortgage plan. Registration has your name on it, you pay a stipulated amount monthly for as long as it takes you to pay off the whole money. If this story is true, for the period Onochie wasn't occupying the house, her cousin did, and was supposed to be meeting up the monthly obligation. So whether the cousin in question was paying or not, documented fact still remains that the property belongs to Onochie, and can be repossessed at any time.

You just want to make the dog eating business easier for my people. They'll simply wait for you to salvage the canines from the street, then steal them from your kernel. Except foreign pet dogs, dog meat is a sanctioned protein source in Calabar and Cross River generally.

You do a lot of tough talking on nairaland threads and express plenty of violent hatred for the Igbos in particular, to the extent you threaten an entire tribe at every given opportunity.

That's a very inappropriate behaviour for nairaland moderators to have continually overlooked. You make it a point of duty to charge the atmosphere with negative ethnic tension, as if you derive some sort of satisfaction in pitching the Yorubas against the Igbos, every single time.

What exactly is your agenda? Have you been recruited to use nairaland as a tool to further poison Southerners against themselves? And to see the Yorubas and Igbos on this forum consistently pandering to your theatrics on a daily basis, while deepening the hate for themselves, is the very disturbing part.

If this was something you probably did on one or two threads, we can chalk it down to normal human reaction to provocation. But your consistency gives you off like someone with a sinister agenda.. huh

Someone should pls narrate the real story to me. Did Nigeria truly played against India? What happened? Am very curious too
God abeg, how indomie generation take enter my life na..😂?

As children in the mid 80s to mid 90s, we were raised with this story of a historical football match Nigeria played with India.

"Nigerian Legend" had it that we were losing to India by 99 goals and it was decided that if we could score just ONE goal against the Indian team, we were to be declared Champions. The spice in this recipe is that the story claimed the Indian team smuggled "voodoo-ism" into the match, so much so that the ball was turning to all manner of devious things and beasts everytime the Nigerian players touched it..😂.
Funny and stupid, right?
So in order to be fair to Nigerians, a lone goal was all we needed to score to win the match, and the Legendary "Samuel Okwaraji" the "Eze-bunafor" of the Nigerian team, seized an opportunity in the last minutes of the game and sacrificed himself by kicking and scoring the ball while it flamed like a ball of fire.

We won the match by 1 goal to India's 99. Samuel Okwaraji died a National hero. India got banned from anything football to this day. And even at this point where I'm narrating this story to you, I feel very foolish for having believed it in my childhood..😂!

My people! 90 likes for what? grin grin grin

The mentioned named, Mfawa Abam, is a career diplomat not a political appointee. He is actually the same foreign service batch as Kunle Adeleke, Tinubu's chief of protocol. He did not occupy any ambassadorial position for 10 years, so that's a big lie. This is just the comment of someone ignorant of the professional trajectory of career diplomats.

The guy will go back to Abuja as all Nigerian diplomats do after few years at a foreign mission. This is an expected and known development that comes as no shock to any diplomat, especially with an exchange of baton at Aso Rock grin
Do I look to you like the kinda fellow who's too vacuous to know the conceptual differences between career Diplomats and Ambassadors?

Apparently, you're the only one who's familiar with him but doesn't know that from the moment Mfawa Abam became the Head of Chancery, Embassy of Nigeria, Tel Aviv, Israel in 2003, he was practically considered the engine room of Nigeria's relations with Israel, in the corridors of Aso rock. The Ambassador in that case, only functioned as a figure head while enjoying the attendant privileges. It became the tradition for every other Nigerian Embassy he superitended in all other foreign countries, until he was subsequently named an Ambassador in December 2021.

As far as everyone in Aso rock is concerned, Mfawa has been playing Ambassadorial roles since 2003, and he himself has jocularly boasted about it on a few occasions in the past. So me even insinuating that he has been an Ambassador for 10years, is an understatement in all honesty.

God abeg, which kind life Nigerians dey live like this huh?!

What would it cost a Landlord to pay less than 80K to evacuate the soak-away pit of his property for the comfort of his tenants who are already suffering enough in the hands of the Nigerian government?!

Why's everything in this country just fashioned to be an inconvenience to the masses? You'll sweat to pay rents and still have to suffer environmental and health inconveniences such as this. How are Nigerian men ever supposed to get a single moment of respite?

Na things like this dey make tenants gather beat landlord out of anger!

Soludo, remove your mouth from Hausa/Fulani and Yoruba matter!

There's a reason even Tinubu's Ministers are all very quiet as to the rots in their various Ministries upon resumption of office. Everybody dey talk in codes. Even the crude and brash Nyesom Wike recently came out to expose the fact that Abuja has been subjected to an 800million dollars Garnishee payment, but was careful not to name Buhari and his minions.

No come use busy body set yourself up in your bid to impress Tinubu, who's a spent force after this Presidency. Your own political career still has a long way to go and the North doesn't forget.

Ndi-Anambra should caution Soludo! He's becoming too loud lately.
