TinubuDeDrugLor:Is it not too early in the day to be dragging the people of the South South into small bickerings? |
I don't mean to invalidate his small wins or play down his academic successes, but can someone please explain what his miserly financial background has to do with his emergence as the SUG President of a University? And how is his SUG Presidency significant enough to warrant the headlines, even to the point it's being juxtaposed against his penurious beginnings? Don't we have students all over Nigeria hitting first class degrees even when they were born in homes where kerosene lamptern was a luxury? Abi na the "UK University" be the basis of this unnecessary hype? Cause we're in the habit of celebrating any nonsense from the "abroad". |
A lot of Nigerian leaders are outrightly wicked or inherently brainless. Who in his right senses constructs and commissions a bridge like that without the existence of barriers for god's sake?! It's like constructing a road without attendant shoulders and drainages, then expecting it to last and serve the purpose of efficiency. Now after series of accidents, they're inconveniencing the masses further, to do something that should have been done long before certifying the bridge fit for public use. And I'm very sure they'll quote a humongous budget for this idiocy. Godforbid! |
naijaboy756:Behave yourself! Stop this nonsense play! |
Someone is smoking nonsense in that Bureau and computing stupendous statistics. |
jaeyking:As expected. Public statement of apology and the departure of one of the club's media executives. |
jaeyking:Social media, yes. But not the official media handles of their own clubs. |
Beverlyjean:Everyone has a bad day at work. Players are not exempted. Whatever on-field skirmishes he had with teammates and staff shouldn't warrant what media treatment he got. Both parties have however come out to address the misunderstanding. But he still has a right to decide what decisions to make differently going forward, including refusing to take penalties. That should not in any way be misconstrued for pettiness or pride. Osimhen is one of the most "down to earth" athletes in the world today. |
spencekat:Because he has chosen not to play penalties? Lol. Are you joking right now? |
Beverlyjean:I didn't know "pettiness" has been made the exclusive reserve of women. Humility, tantrums, yen yen yen! You Nigerians and your judgemental syndrome. What's even your business how someone decides to react to circumstances that directly affect him? Is it you and your village people who are contributing to pay his wages in Napoli? Una must sha get opinions, even if they make no sense. |
Hemeenworth:Has nothing to do with emotions. He say him no do again! And I don't understand this faux believe that men are not supposed to get emotional. Are we robots? Should we have no right to express pain or love when the circumstances demand? What gives?! |
Love800:You know say I no get home training.. , but you juss decide to start fight. Why, my guy?! |
OkpaNsukkaisBae:You haven't heard? They already started retaliating. |
Love800:You're not rude, just sounding crass like someone from Wike's village. |
WayStage:The entire foundation of this thread is laid out for people staying alone, I believe. |
Coolcat95:There's no Nigerian law that demands police reports before emergency victims are attended to. |
Wisereborn:There's no Nigerian law anywhere that prescribes the presentation of a police report to a hospital before a victim of circumstances such as this, is attended to. First, it is a safety net Nigerian hospitals have felt the need to use as a buffer in their own interest. A patient is rushed to the A-&-E unit of a hospital with a bullet wound, nurses and doctors rush to remedy the situation by administering swift medical response. Only for the Nigerian police to arrive sometime later and make life miserable for the hospital staff with spurious allegations of the hospital being in collusion with a wanted armed robber. The police in their utter uselessness, can sometimes go as far as indicting the hospital in their subsequent jaundiced reports. They whisk that victim away to their station and no one is left to pay the bills. Hospital image is battered. I've witnessed this first-hand, more than once. Second, emergency victims get attended to, upon recovery it becomes impossible for hospitals to recoup their due medical bills, because victim's family is either incapable of paying, not willing to pay and will rather beg the hospital "in the name of god", as if god sends needles and syringes from heaven. Before you know, victim exploits the slightest window of opportunity and escapes the hospital. Money is lost. In both scenarios, hospitals are not to blame for the insistence of police reports before treatments of such victims. They're simply taking precautions in their interest. And in most cases, the idiocy of the Police is the major factor behind this ugliness that has led to deaths of unattended victims. |
silvoclaira:Cooking is more expensive these days. As a matter of fact, the idea that cooking at home is relatively cheaper than eating in restaurants is a make-believe concept that has been told so many times to the point people's minds have learnt to accept it. We can dissect this issue today, if you feel otherwise. |
Quenncee:No one is questioning the authenticity of the information carrier, but the validity and substance of the news content. Even CNN sometimes airs news that later turns out to not be exactly as believed. |
What fuckery is this? Na meat make these people form convoy with sirens? |
Dottormentor:He asked a very proper question! Buhari should be ashamed of himself in his old age, not looking to chronicle his life in a book. That stupid book is going to end in Daura because world people are not interested. And the OP is silly to have even considered bringing this nonsense here for visual consumption. To think he even has the audacity to be attacking other users in the comment section, goes to show how small-minded he is. |
naptu2:He's here because he has the liberty of free speech, even if just to come and posit that this information is useless in the scheme of things, which it actually is. Buhari was a "useless" leader in the two spells he did as the country's number one individual. And whoever still sees the need to promote or even propagate news of his current existence in retirement, deserves to be shot in the back of the head. That failure is primarily the reason Tinubu is currently struggling to grapple the Nigerian economy to stability. I detest Tinubu, but his current travails are spill-offs of the uselessness and incompetence of that Daura vomit! |
You didn't create this thread to correct a conceptual misnomer. You created this thread to psychologically water down the confidence of Atiku's supporters on nairaland. What's the essence of your cheeky description of Atiku as "the defeated candidate of the PDP" as opined in your first paragraph? Was that even necessary? You APC supporters always try to be smart by half but some of us see right into your criminal minds..😂. How very audacious of you to assume that nairaland is populated by average minded fellows incapable of proper reasoning! This boy sha! |
okeysoninv:Mtscheew! I had quoted you before remembering you're the nairaland resident madman who masquerades as a Prophet. 🤡🤡. |
okeysoninv:You want to take Russian lands from Russians? Lol. You're not just a stupid sod, you're equally brainless. Even the entire NATO will have to wipe every single Russian off the earth surface to be able to take their lands. You think Russia is all about Putin? He's the least nightmare the US has to worry about. Should Putin die for any reason, another very brutal Russian will assume his place and let all hell loose. Those movies you watch where Hollywood portrays Russians as demonic entities are actually true. Even the US is not foolish enough to wage a direct war with Russia. |
RikudoSennin:Yeah, so I heard too. The tussle between the US and Russia is real. |
WriterNigg:France is starting to make too many enemies and this doesn't bode well for them. |
Exact thing I said to someone on the other thread and the animal was busy abusing his clan head..😂. These people don't know that some of us have information donors in political circles. Tinubu even offered to refund all the expenses Atiku incurred through out the 2023 campaigns and election processes. He added an oil well as bonus. But Baba Waziri refused. Also, Atiku sacked one of his very close aides who was advising him to consider Tinubu's offers, just last night. |
Wallade:Between you wey dey type epistles like who dey load cement for Sokoto sun and me wey dey give you calm responses, who's looking vexed enough to be hugging a transformer..😂? |
anonymous1759:E never clear you say you go explain tire for this life ? |
anonymous1759:You're on nairaland grandstanding and chest-beating when your illegitimate god in Aso rock is running from pillar to post, sending emissaries to Atiku with all manner of offers and incentives. And you say we're the deluded ones. Smh. |
He equally commended Peter Obi and his youthful team of Obidients for their vigorous tenacity in the defence of democratic tenets. |
