LOL. It's actually not cool enough. The devices is relatively too recent to be abandoned and I guess that's what that other guy was trying to tell genius. One full year after its release and it's yet to get even an Android 10 update. I feel people have all the right to complain about the tardiness and it's perfectly normal. Most Samsung and Realme phones released within the same timeframe have gotten Android 10 update. We know it's now an obsolete phone though but it's still too "recent" to be neglected. Over 3 months with no update and now a security patch update with the earliest possible time for MIUI 12 or Android 10 or both being November? The phrase would be, "If you want updates, get a Xiaomi phone. If you want quick and steady updates, get a Google Pixel or try Samsung."

Not ghost touches. More like, when you stay long on an app, and then decide to switch to another app, you'll see remnants of the former app you were on in the background mostly around the corners/edges of the phone.

I really can't say o. I noticed it too, it comes up occasionally, I just overlook it as I can't be rebooting my device everytime, it does go away by itself after a while or so.

A screenshot can't show it, one has to be holding your device first hand to experience the issue.

Let's wait for a new update, hopefully that'll be fixed.

I've had that issue since last year. The screen gets "too bright" that it looks washed out especially after coming from strong sunlight into a dark place. I've reported the issue through feedback a lot of times but nothing has been done. Do you experience screen retention? Cos that's the next stop with the screen issue. Update? LOL. Jesus is coming soon.

China Beta went live yesterday so I guess I warped to the July by mistake.

Hopefully the combined MiUI 12 and A10 update will come before the end of the month.

LOL..Like genius opined, I think it's SD665 causing troubles. Their only saving grace is sending A10 and MIUI 12 in one update cos if they try that A10 first and then MIUI 12 after a month, people would've lost faith. Na this your second statement be my fear.

And the common ground they all stand on is the SOC running the show SD 665.

...but then it might be particular to Xiaomi. I think other brands using SD 665 have updated most of theirs to A10. It'll be a long wait for RN8 and Mi CC9E users sha. E go tey small before A10 and MIUI 12 drop..

LOL. Two possibilities: First is they release A10 and MIUI 12 at the same time with the same update. This will take time and it'll prolly happen October/November. The second is that they release A10 first and then MIUI 12 later. Whichever happens, it's already late for whichever is happening. MIUI 12 has been in supposed beta testing since May or so.

If you are a Redmi note 8 pro user and don't have the MIUI 12 update. I can help you on where to download and how to install without root or computer or even twrp. You can install manually and I have been running that without issues for over 2 weeks now...

LOL.. That A10 eh, I know the usual narrative that MIUI updates are much more valuable than Android OS updates but as we no see anyone now nko? I wasn't actually expecting a Google/Samsung early updates release but the wait is becoming longer than I anticipated hence, the grumbles and stuffs.

I honestly do not understand the rush and the complaints about MIUI 12 update for the Note 8. Funnily, after installing the update, within a week or two, all the excitements will fizzle into thin air.

The company has stated that the update is coming and might take a while, which is quite understandable. However, the good thing about Android is that, you can tweak and manipulate the system to your taste.

If you're in a rush to enjoy MIUI 12, there are several custom roms that have you covered. Download one and enjoy.

The complaints are getting annoying.

You know it's only naturally human to feel abandoned when others are getting a treatment you aren't getting... The complaints are pretty understandable..

My Battary is self discharging, I had 28% before going to sleep last night, I powered off the phone and connected it to my charger hoping there would be light later at night thou the light didn't come
Am now suprised to only see 9% remaining on checking the app usage I found out no app was running but still my Battary depleted on it's own
