Dude, forget resolution. But this honor 7 uses a kirin935 chipset. It's flagship and can handle anything thrown at it. I've tested alot of shìt on it already

It was a flagship when it was released, maybe. But that's some good five years ago. Times have changed. It's stale now.

sorry ooo... I am a novice when it comes to phones specs, but I think Sony, lg, elephone, Asus, OnePlus, iPhone, Huawei, Motorola, Etc are good phones, so if xiaomi is fourth largest smartphone maker in the world, where do they place those other top brand?

LOL. It looks like you've no idea of what you're saying, no offense intended. Elephone? Really? Top brand? LOL. Xiaomi is only behind Apple, Samsung and Huawei in terms of shipment of phones and arguably market share. Motorola, Asus, Sony and LG are all struggling to get a firm grip of the smartphone market. Elephone is even out of the picture! Oneplus, Oppo and Vivo are all owned by BBK electronics so collectively, they'll sure top Xiaomi but individually, they're behind with, I think, Oppo and Vivo getting fifth and sixth.

When it comes to phone specifications, different people will have different things they look out for in their phones. For me, it's Processor (determines virtually everything else in the phone), battery life (5000mAh), Camera, screen type (AMOLED) and resolution (1080p) and software support. You might just be the battery guy and 6000mAh will appeal to you even when the processor is from 2012 and the camera makes you as white as Nollywood ghosts. The recent clamours/attacks (which I sometimes condemn for being too vehement) on Transsion phones is born out of the fact they they make you pay more for less features. They use outdated processors, unspecified camera lenses, low screen resolution, weaker builds, little software supports and make you pay for a kidney for it. Other brands like Umidigi, Xiaomi, Realme are slowly encroaching into the sacrosanct market of Transsion and I was even shocked to see, in a very remote place, people using Xiaomi. Until they up the ante with making specifications that well match the prices, they might be poised to have a dwindling share in the African market and will become a derelict in no time..

Education / Re: How Private School Owners Are Dubiously Cheating Their Teachers by BoluwajiPieters: 12:08am On Jul 18, 2020
seanwilliam:

Until u start a private school , you will know how he be... most students/pupils would not pay until exam and even if some go pay, na 30%, dem go dey beg make dem allow their wards do exam.. some parents self fit take their children away from the school in the following term and going to another when the debt accumulated is too much.... except super standard private school oo, but an average private school in naija na doom.. it's not the fault of the proprietors all the time.. they pay mostly on what they earn..

I was going to say something like this. I've a first-hand experience of how pupils of private primary schools pay and I can boldly say only about 10-20% pay school fees within the first month of school. Some even pay half and promise to pay the remainder at some later date. Except private schools that do the "no pay, no school" method (of which a lot of private schools don't do), then it'll be hard to pay teachers full salaries for the months since even the parents will complain of not going to work hence, no money.

Wow.. never knew this

Your WiFi is on too. Did you disable WiFi scanning cos sometimes, especially when you use Xender, it comes on again. Always check regularly to make sure it's off.

You should be able to squeeze out 7-8hrs SOT from it sha.

Am using note 8 too. Everything is okay but d battery is not dat strong.

Well... I've been using RN8 since November last year and the battery still squeezing out 8-10hours depending on what I'm doing. Some Apps really consume battery a lot too. I noticed when I took the phone for a birthday photoshoot of a friend with GCAM, battery was dropping like some oversized pants on a small child. Activities carried out, network, room temperature, screen brightness, downloading, gaming and co all contribute to how fast your battery juice dries up.

Sometimes when I'm gaming, I get 5/6hrs and other times when I'm just reading up books on Adobe reader, I get 11/12 hours. Truthfully though, I'll admit the battery should/could've be/been doing better on regular usage.

Abeg make I jejely dey wait for MIUI12 Jare

We'll go and wait for Redmi Note 11.

Ok... This is for last month and this month. Yesterday and today none

You're the one using your data and not RN8 doing anything. Clearly, you can see the apps you use topping the list of data consumption. The thing is, most apps these days consume a lot of data unlike the days when you can use 10Mb for a whole lot of stuffs. Picture and video quality has improved and it takes a lot of data to consume such quality.

To disable sync, swipe down on the status bar and look for sync and disable it from there or search sync in settings page.

It depends on how it landed though.

Exactly! The day my RN8 took a fall, I was left breathless... I took my thing and found out nothing happened to it. How the phone lands is really important as there are obvious delicate/weak landing points in phones that can scatter things with minimal fall heights..

Which phone do you use? Android system is just flexing on RN8 Global version... It consumes as much as the screen and sometimes, more.

Also, update your phone and reboot randomly several times after the update.
