Religion / Manny Pacquiao Uses Bible To Rebuke Obama’s Support For Gay Marriage by bonetalk(m): 8:29pm On May 17, 2012
In a world of so-called
tolerance, it seems as if
the Christian gospel is the
only truth not to be
tolerated. Increasingly,
pressure is coming to us from our culture to keep
quiet about our faith. Our
rights to proclaim the
gospel are being resisted.
But Manny Pacquiao,
Christian Filipino boxer and congressman, has
reportedly disagreed with
President Barack Obama ‘s support of
redefining marriage to include same-sex couples,
and has insisted people
should always put God’s
word first. After Obama vocalized that he was in support of gay
marriage earlier this week,
Pacquiao was adamant that
the president had got it
wrong. In an interview with
the National Conservative Examiner while training in Los
Angeles, Calif., Pacquiao spoke
about the need for society to
put “God’s words first.” The boxer quoted Leviticus
20:13 when referring to the
president’s decision to
advocate for same-sex
marriage. “If a man lies with a man as
one lies with a woman, both
of them have done what is
detestable,” Pacquiao told the
Examiner. “They must be put
to death; their blood will be on their own heads.” However, Obama has
attempted to explain his
reasoning for supporting a
redefinition of marriage, using
the Golden Rule of loving
your neighbor as justification for ignoring other verses
condemning homosexuality in the Bible. “Do unto others as you would
have them do to you,” the
president said in an ABC News
report. “At a certain point
I’ve just concluded that for
me personally it is important for me to go ahead and affirm
that I think same-sex couples
should be able to get married.” www.colindye.com/2012/05/14/manny-pacquiao-uses-bible-to-rebuke-obamas-support-for-gay-marriage/#ixzz1uqOvwz2S

Don't be sentimental while talking or maybe you were watching a different match. Barca broke chelseas defence but were unlucky to put the ball at the back of the net. Barca had 18 shots on target and 5 hit the crossbar as against 3 of chelsea, how come they didn't break chelsea's defence?
abeg carry urself comot jare, shey na me talk say make them no know how to shoot accurately ni? Then what are you talking about, the bottom line is that your barca lost against a team that knows how to handle them and na him make your coach run comot sharp sharp. Chikena

medjai: If this is the evolution of football when one team attacks practically for the entire game(Barca) and the other just plays in their own half, continuosly defending, diving intermittently to disrupt the flow of the game, relying upon a couple of opportunistic attacks and luck(Chelsea), then it is terrible for the game, period!

Games of such nature are destructive for the sport. The anti-football of Chelsea is shameful and destructive for the game of football. It's even more disgraceful when you consider that Chelsea are supposed to be a big club. Abrahamovic has endlessly pumped money into this Chelsea project since taking over. This is a Chelsea side that was put together with hundreds of millions of £ and even has a £50 million signing on the bench and yet, the best they could come up with is this cynical, vulgar and vomit-inducing, anti-football, SMH. It's understandable when small clubs like QPR, Blackburn and Stoke play like this but Chelsea? Even those poor clubs in Spain that don't have up to 1/10 of Chelsea's budget don't indulge in such shameful act. I can't even imagine how any football fan would be proud of such display. If every team played like that, I'm pretty sure there won't be as many football fans in the world today.

Where exactly is the sympathy for us fans enduring those 180 minutes of repulsive, anti-football?
you are only exposing your foolishness

Wrong! He was never on the same level with Lionel Messi at club level. While Mikel played in backwater league in Oslo, Messi was already flexing muscles with world great footballers.

Lets look at this analysis
from the supersport crew.
The both sport analysts in
the studio said they are not
sure the whole of the ball
crosses the line. They showed the picture of
a rule of football with a
diagram saying if a ball is on
the line, part of it above and
at the same time behind the
line, that is yet to score. They said the rule says the
entire whole of the ball
(stress the word whole)
must cross the line before
they can take it as a goal. Am not bringing this to
defend the goal but I want
us to learn the rules of the
game. May be anyone in the
house can enlighten us or
even upload that part of goal scoring rule diagram if
its available.
